- 8Eigthfab downpipe, Magnaflow 14419 Muffler, and 3inch piping all the way. Perfect at WOT and very little drone on the highway.

Damn. I need of going with the flow master FX muffler they gave much of a deeper tone than the magna flow but the magna flow still sounds pretty good

Why did you switch from the borla muffler to a magnaflow one? Which one do you prefer? Considering doing a similar setup to yours on my VR.
Sorry for the late reply. Great question. So my current set up is a 8Eightfab DP to a magnaflow exhaust. My borla was a great muffler but the shop who installed it put it right under my seat not in the rear of the car. The magnaflow is way louder at WOT which is what I want and now it's in the correct position. The xr1 is a great muffler but with the v70r I would definitely get a vibrant resonator or two so it won't drone.
@@minnesotaprimal9721 Would you say that both of them had a similar amount of drone? Also, is your downpipe catted or catless? Good call on adding a resonator too. Thanks!
@@henrikstjernfeldt7397 welcome! The borla had more drone but I think this is because of the placement. Usually the borla is more quiet. Catless.
I just bought a v70r for a daily. My goal is to put my built super hybrid k24 turbo on. My plan is to get a high flow cat dp and maybe some bigger piping but keep it quiet and sleeperish. Plan is to get it to about 340whp on pump gas.
@@minnesotaprimal9721 wow, sounds like your v70r will rip! I've got a catted 8eightfab dp on order, so my setup will probably end up being a bit quieter than yours. Now I just gotta decide which brand muffler to go with haha
