Ghostrike is my favorite, I got several of them, however the rubber on the handle is the worst as it might wear off and you're stuck with a weird naked metal part underneath. Conceptually its great though, and the sheath itself is great and sturdy. Decently and very sharp. In general, never get nylon sheaths, only leather or kydex or similar.
Nice review! Be advised nylon and plastic sheaths reinforced with glass fiber can dull the edge of the knife when it is withdrawn. I have had several of these over the years and it is very irritating to put a knife in a sheath with a razor edge then draw the knife and find it has to be sharpened again. I fixed one by coating the edges inside the sheath with epoxy but most don’t have enough room. I wish they would stop using glass fiber in knife sheaths. Mora and Glock sheaths don’t have glass fibers and they are as good as any sheaths out there. My Gerber Mark II does not have glass fiber either. Just like a broad head on an arrow a self defense knife needs to be sharp to inflict immediate damage.
Zero Tolerance Boot knife is a quite descent small dagger! 3D machined scales are beautiful! The handle is short, but comfortable for straight, reverse and screwdriver grips. But the sheath is absolutely terrible. Belt clip is wery weak. Despite being made out if kydex, the sheath isn't holding the dagger at all and it retains the dagger entirely counting on the retention button strap. The kydex sheath isn't formed around the dagger blade, but rather it made in a shape of a pretty wide "slot" where dagger blade is rattling freely. You can purchase it if you would be able to find it. But you definitely would need to make or purchase a custom fitted kydex sheath.
Hey its one of the 2 good Schrade knives. The needle is good. But someone in the knife industry that says blood groove instead of fuller, still proves how terrible Schrade is as a company.
I do NOT understand boot knife for defense. It’s the most inaccessible, uncomfortable, and easy to lose place for a knife. Like are you planning on getting kidnapped but they don’t frisk you for some reason 🤔

But seriously, in order of complaint....they arent meant to be super accessible, they are NOT your primary means of anything, they are a backup or secondary weapon. Next, boot knives are NOT uncomfortable if fit properly, myth. They are not easy to lose because they have positive retention system to hold them in(snap, strap, clip). Also as far as your kidnap/frisk scenario, in your boot is the best place you could hide a knife, unless you plan on stuffing it up your....uh, poop chute? All your complaints were valid when these were first dreamed up but after centuries of mankind having knives I think they have thought of this stuff

Schrade calling it a "blood groove" has fully convinced me never to give them money for anything ever
A double edged spear point is best , a 4 inch blade is preferred.
Also a non serrated blade. If you regularly sharpen your blade dullness can be vastly rectified

I do NOT understand boot knife for defense. It’s the most inaccessible, uncomfortable, and easy to lose place for a knife.

I'm guessing this isnt the only thing you dont understand lol. But seriously, in order of complaint....they arent meant to be super accessible, they are NOT your primary means of anything, they are a backup or secondary weapon. Next, boot knives are NOT uncomfortable if fit properly, myth. They are not easy to lose because they have positive retention system to hold them in(snap, strap, clip). Also as far as your kidnap/frisk scenario, in your boot is the best place you could hide a knife, unless you plan on stuffing it up your....uh, poop chute? All your complaints were valid when these were first dreamed up but after centuries of mankind having knives I think they have thought of this stuff
