Never thought I’d be getting solid knife advice by Kip from Napoleon Dynamite but he is spot on. Freaking Sweet!
one of the greatest movies of all time
Yeah Ned Flanders is pretty cool.
The guy is stellar. So glad to see him on with DCA. Both great dudes and very entertaining to watch.
Seth c Napoleon dynamite I trust both of them. Vote Pedro.
I thought Seth resembled kip as well. I never mentioned it however as im sure seth would not appreciate that comment. But its hard to not see the resemblance.
I can tell you guys have done what I have learned. Do what you're passionate about and work will never seem like "work". Just the fact that you guys are willing to put out content in the middle of our holidays shows that you love what you do and we absolutely appreciate it. Thanks guys.
I love Seth's single string of Christmas lights 😂🤣😂🤣. Lentil is adorable too!!
A nearly hour long video that went so fast. Like talking to a bunch of friends about knives. Great video!
You two are my favorite 2021 videos watched. You both are very very enjoyable to hang with virtually. It's just pure joy to listen to both. Thank you so much for your work!!!
This was a true gift. Thank you KnifeCenter. Thank you David, Seth, and Thomas. I enjoyed the heck out of this video! Happy Holidays!
Y'all both have such a calm demeanor. Love the videos. Keep up the good work, happy holidays, and all the best in the new year...
The Homer Simpson and Ned Flanders of knife collecting!
Merry Christmas lads!
Wow, what a fantastic Christmas Day bonus! Thanks guys, really appreciate you giving your time to bring us this brilliant video!! This was the 2nd bonus of the day for me, as my wife bought me the Fallkniven GP Black Micarta for Christmas and it's a beauty!
Thank you for this video! Awesome that your sharing your holiday with us. Even cooler that your showing us you personal collections.
As a knife expert myself I will say purchasing price is definitely my starting point. A lot of these big companies have no cause for their hefty price tags and then the look-a-likes are a third of the prices with same quality in build.
Thanks for the xmas video! i really enjoyed it! thanks for taking the time. Love you guys and can't wait for more. I try to tell everyone i know to watch these videos ! thanks for all you guys do ! :)
Excellent holiday gift, guys, thank you! Very much enjoyed this. I have one of those Centofante folders but with a non-serrated blade. I used it for years as a bait knife and it looks it. Years ago I lost the screws for the pocket clip and then eventually lost track of the pocket clip as well. One of the first good knives I ever bought though, along with some other steel handled Spydercos of the same time....one of which is a full serrated Harpy which I still occasionally use.
I really appreciate the real and honest opinions and the real people aspect to your channel over some of the other knife store channels. Thank you for keeping it Real
Thanks DAC and Seth B for giving us an inside look at what you guys buy and carry. Lots of variety between the two of you.
Spyderco k390 models were my workhorses this year, tough as hell. They pretty much garaged all my other work knives. Worth every penny
Me too. The stretch 2 k390 has become my main lady. Merry Christmas 🎄
@@adamjohnson7385 I got one for xmas ;-}
@@hcavn awesome! I added a deep carry lynch clip to mine. Makes it a whole lot better carry IMO.
@@adamjohnson7385 It's like a whole different knife, compared to my titanium/damascus Delica. That is so stiff opening and closing, there really is no fidget factor at all. The Stretch is great, just press on the backlock and flick open and closed.
Agree on the Stretch 2, it´s a winner.
Blows the PM2 out of the water as a user.
You guys are dedicated. Didnt expect for you guys to be working. Thanks for sharing your passion.
Merry Christmas DCA, Seth and Thomas! As always, I love the banter, and the Nessmuks are interesting. Just starting to get interested in small fixed blades and Spydercos.
Guys, what a pleasant surprise! Very cool content and format. Much appreciated
Merry Christmas guys. Keep up the great content!
I like the format & idea of y’alls pickups for 2021. My favorite pickups were two fixed blades, Gerber Freeman with orange handles & a SOG Ace. Then two Gerber slip joints, the straight lace in blue & green
I very much enjoyed this video!,Two knowledgeable knife men talking about different makers different steels there favs and so on. Could watch these types of videos all day! Thank you!
As a Spyderco collector and someone who has only been collecting for the past 7 or 8 years,it’s really nice to get to see some of their knives from back before I was really into knives.dont get me wrong,I’m a country boy from East Tennessee,I’ve been using knives since I was 7 or 8 years old.I have always appreciated a good knife.I just wasn’t a collector.I used the knives my dad gave me as a child.he gave me a Victorinox SAK,a Buck 110 and old Puma trailing point fixed blade hunting knife with the stag handle and the Pumaster steel blade.I also found my uncle’s old short heavy machete in the barn and used it for camping.I used these knives up until I was around 25 years old and then I retired them because of their sentimental value.after that I bought other knives to replace those old knives.I bought a few $20-$30 duds that just didn’t do it for me from 25-30 years old.around 30 years old I started doing a little research.after I quit being cheap I started buying higher end knives in modern steels and I got hooked and been collecting ever since
I got sad when I saw Seth with Spyderco Horn. I have (had) a partially serrated one.It was misplaced for the longest time , about 10 yrs. Long story short I allowed a secondary party through Ace Hardeware sharpen my knife. I was told they do not do serrations, I said that is fine, I only wanted the straight edge sharpened; what I got back was an expensive ground down letter opener that doesn't close anymore. I have not gone back to that store and it's close by.I have since learned to sharpen and am still learning and love sharpening knives. Thank you guys and gals for all you do for the knife community. GOD bless!!
Greetings from Germany and a big thank you for all your great content. Happy holidays! 🙂
Thoughtful and enlightening.
Thank you both.
Always interesting and informative, and I love the back and forth between DCA and Seth.
Merry Christmas!! Thanks for sharing, you guys are great.
I declare this MUST become a Christmas tradition!!! I'm alone this year so this is great way to spend part of my day!! Besides it makes me feel less terrible about all my recent knife pickups 😂
Agreed! An unexpected present. Boxing Day here in Aus though 😉
@@tonycanniffe2360 Happy Boxing Day all the way from NJ USA!!! 😊🥊

Best username/avatar ever!
It took me 3 days to watch it all, and it was worth it! Thank You.
Great show gents, not a single dull moment! Nice to see what your personal faves are.
Actually, you've made your own incredible festivity... to be honest, one of the tastiest I've seen... greatly thank you, guys
Awesome format. Very interesting and genuine ! ❤️👏🔥
Great idea for a video. Very entertaining! Thanks guys and happy holidays!
Merry Christmas gentlemen! U guys are so awesome ! Giving us some sweet content on Christmas Day! Thank you!!
When I picked up a Hogue K320 for the first time I immediately thought of my manix 2. I’m glad someone agrees that they are similar!
I have to agree with Seth regarding the Stretch 2 K390, but go to the top with it. It's my favorite Spyderco. Ergos are outstanding, and well...K390! Being me I had to modify it though. Forced patina on the high carbon blade, die the scales black, and black deep carry clip from MXG. It makes it into my pocket more often than the ZT's, Sebenza, Spartan Harsey, etc... It's darn near perfect IMHO.
Great content. Nice to see that Seth put the same after market clip on his KC Para 3 exclusive than I did.
Merry Christmas to you guys thanks for sharing your holiday with us!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing! I’m not a collector but really do value owning a small assortment of well crafted, high quality and truly beautiful knives. I have learned so much from your channel and look forward to future purchases from your company.
Merry Christmas David, Seth and all the knife nuts enjoying this video 👍🏻 🎄❄️
Awesome collection to both of you guys!
Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍
Hope you have had a wonderful Christmas, from Ireland
I snagged a civivi relic for 40 bucks such a steal for nitro-v and g10 with tweezers. I got a ton of knives at amazing deals this year though its crazy what companies like kizer and civivi discounted some of their knives to.
Great video guys! The best way to spend the mid day Christmas blahs when everyone else is sleeping off the sugar coma. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for this conversation. I just wish so many knives in this one were not $200-450
Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎉....looking forward to 2022
Thanks for bringing us a cool vid. Merry Christmas.
Nice show! Merry Christmas and wishes for a Healthy & Happy 2022!
May your days be merry and your knives be sharp!
Awesome video fellas Merry Christmas 🎄
Great show! More shows like this one.
That Stretch 2 makes it in my pocket a lot more than I thought it would. So easy to carry.
I'll throw in a vote for the K390 line from Spyderco. I got the Endura 4 with K390 as well as the Manbug. They hold an INCREDIBLE edge. It's well worth the price.
Great presentation men. Love them all
Agreed. The kabar dozier in d2 is suoer value. Can't go wrong.
Cool video DTA , Seth V👍 You guys have an awesome collection! You should do this format again!
I love the swedge Spyderco puts on some of their blades. I’ve been trying to find an old Native with it.
Has anyone ever seen Seth, and Doug from the Liberty Mutual commercials in the same room, at the same time?
Not since the spider bite 😂
@@justadudeintheworldman.120
I want to hear Seth say, "With Cold Steel, you only pay for what you need!"
Thank you for the video on Christmas Day!
Really good video Merry Christmas guys!
It wasn't a resolution, but I felt the same as Seth this year. Started a new addiction with Bark River, and slowed down on the Spydercos.
Great video and Merry Christmas!
Great video, thanks guys!
Congrats on your Daughter DCA, an trust me that is just the intro! Lol my Daughter is 35 now happy, successful, married to a great man, an three beautiful granddaughters, an she can still interrupt anything she wants lol.
Love that channel!
Great work, great content, great hosts, awesome videos.
It's kind of a challenge to access online products here in Canada.
Merci beaucoup !
Yo Homie.! Great segment mates. Happy holidays from Australia.
That Spyderco Hungarian is gorgeous. Great video guys Merry Christmas
Very cool stuff gentleman thank you. Have a good day to all.
Spyderco stretch 2 in k390 is my favorit knive I have ever had 1000X better than the PM2. I love it soo much I have several because I carry it soo much and afraid to lose it with with out a back up. Can't complement it enough and k390 is my favorite steel ever!. Can we get a native 5 in k390? That'a all I need in my collection is the Stretch 2 and native 5 in k390.
47:20 I love that knife and I love the sound it made opening up
I have the Blue G-10 Hogue Deka and the Hogue Doug Ritter too,I feel they are underrated and under appreciated
Nice. My family was on a hard budget this year. Me and my wife decided on a quality kitchen knife, found a great sale on a Boker 9" carving knife. Couldn't be happier. Typically Santa hooks it up with a sweet user or tactical folder. Merry Christmas everyone, I hope your holidays are going well.
Merry Christmas DCA & Seth!
I am definitely getting a Torino. Love the fact that their using carbide.
The lil’ native with the compression lock in my opinion is the best Spyderco. I don’t like putting my fingers in the path of the blade and it’s smaller version of the shaman to me.
Merry-X-Mas David and Seth and all knife lovers !
Those AD20s are all cool. Definitely on the list for the future.
Merry Christmas,an interesting group of knives certainly and I will probably obtain a few of them
Was I the only one thinking the neighborhood cat was rummaging the carbage bin again when Seth's cat miaaued?
Great content guys and have a great Christmas.
I love that M18, it's a very similar usage to the Tops Skull crusher, I absolutely love the Tops, it does everything, processing wood, skinning and the M18 would run right up there with that style. My top 3 knives that I added and use in my collection over the past couple years would have to be (not in any order) would be my Tops Operator7, Skull crusher and the Tops Police Interceptor (that I daily carry). I actually bought a 2nd Interceptor after retiring my first one after 10-12 years of daily use and abuse. I have lots of other brands, but for some reason the Tops are made to be used not just collected. Thats a huge part of what I make a decision on buying a new knife is I have to be able to beat on it and actually use it.
Great video!
No call out to that dope little knipex in the thumbnail!? Knipex is the name in pliers, go buy one now!
Merry Christmas Lentil and friends!
100% agree when it comes to the k390 stretch. That’s a knife that when I got it in, I was shocked at how good it was and that feeling has only grown since. My old zdp stretch is still awesome. In many ways, it’s just as ergonomically satisfying. But the k390 SS is on another level…it belongs on the mt rushmore of all time spyderco designs.
ss? like stainless steel? cuz k390 is a carbon steel it’s not stainless

Straight spine
I too picked up a Bounty Hunter Exocet. I has proved to be a very useful little knife.
Just got the ka-bar Becker kephart and love it. I plan on beating it up over the years in the woods and passing it down to my daughter.
Luv the knife collection’s really good picks I really need to try a demco with that awesome shark 🦈 lock 🔒
Great vid, thank you 👌👍😊
The more Seth I get, the more Seth I want. Sublime knife content
Watching old videos since y'alls new content has been slackin' lately, really hope you do this video again at the end of the year with what you guys picked up in 2022.
Merry Christmas guys. I was so disappointed when they changed the blade shape of the stretch. 😞 😥 I'm a bigger folder guy. I would love to see more 3.75 to 4 inch knives this year.
Hi DCA. Love the content and your opinion! In your estimation, are there any “investment knives” that we should be paying attention to? Something that can be added to the collection which “could” increase in value in the future? Keep up the great work!
Hey! As a Hungarian, whatching your videos, I was really suprised, by spiderco knife. Both that company like this had a colab with a hingarian designer, both that was mentioned with you.
I am quiet inspired to get one Any tips?
Also love your staff, great videos, really informative.
Would love to see a future podcast series by you guys.
Knives on my wish list right now: Stroup GP1, Spartan Harsey Talos, Furnace Brook Iron Works Frontier Trade Knife.
Wait, this is new!
Well, have a most wonderful christmas!
Ohh and Seth - nice shirt!
Hope you guys are having a great Christmas
David, my absolute favorite "big folder" has to be the Spyderco Caribbean sheepsfoot plain edge. I live on the Pacific NW coast, and love having the Caribbean for outdoor fun and adventures.
The ONLY "minus" is that the lock requires two hands to manipulation, as I am a lefty.
My dad had that same mustache in the 90s. I love it
Hey D.C.A
My wife gave me a lionsteel besrman for Christmas and I love this as a present! My problem now is that I need a one-handed opening knife as a second knife! Somewhat larger 3.5 to 4 inches like the spyderco police or the coldsteel broken scull. And to add a twist I'm left-handed so it should work for both hands!
Thank you from Austria
