My original PJ2 just got delivered yesterday 😁 But seriously, it’s awesome. These are such good tools. I’m new to flying and quickly learned to check with Sporty’s before anywhere else.
How do I remove the battery pack? I release the clip at the base of he radio; the battery pack can be raised but only about 1/8 inch. It won't move further. I don't want to force the case and break it.
When the button lock is enabled, does it also lock the PTT button? I’d like to listen to a frequency through the new normal headphones jack while it’s in my backpack, but I’d be afraid of accidentally transmitting.
Can you pls do tutorial like this for Sporty's Trans_Nav receiver. I would like to purchase one but would like to see it in auction switching from a com receiver to a nav VOR tracking tool.
Yes, we have a lot: ua-cam.com/video/5zAnnt1hbFE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/lF7fft-Gp5U/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/457F628_AvA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/mmVzOWV6gNY/v-deo.html
I'm just curious as to what would a regular non-pilot person do with such a radio? I mean, if it's illegal for a non-pilot to talk to pilots in the air with one of these radios, I'm curious as to why they are sold to the general public. Don't get me wrong, I would be the first in line to order one of these radios from Sporty's if I knew for a fact that the FAA and FBI are not gonna come after me for having a conversation with a passenger aircraft pilot cruising at 30,000 feet up in the air. So can somebody explain to me what good is it for a non-pilot person to own one of these transceiver radios instead of a receiver ONLY police scanner radio which has the aircraft band included to listen to???? 🤔🤔🤔
It's sold to the general public because this is America and you don't need to ask for permission to buy a radio. A non pilot could still listen in on radio and learn

Same here??!!!!
I figured it out. You literally have to mess around with it a little. It sucks but you’ll get it eventually. After that it worked fine multiple times

I hope sporty's answers this
Não estou conseguindo tirar o ruído de fundo ao receber as comunicações , o que devo fazer ?
The manual says that you cannot use a remote PTT switch in the earplug jack, is this true?
The PJ2+ can use a remote PTT in the PJ jack. It can not use a remote PTT through the 3.5mm jack.
@@sportyspilotshop I don't understand how to do this. Can you go a bit into depth?
Is this a HAM or GMRS radio? New to this so sorry if its a dumb question.
it's airband for a backup radio in aviation.
