OMG! Kudos to Kirstie and Phil for putting up with these people. The young mother sounds too depressed to choose anything and the young couple need a real shake up about their expectations.
Single parent guilt. It's ridiculous to pander to childish whims. The kid will grow up and be gone in a blink and then you're stuck with a kiddie fantasy instead of an adult home. Unless you're going to have a cinema full of people watching TV with you, you need a sofa and a screen. If the kid is an hour by train from school, your house is not going to be his friends' hangout spot.
Having a cinema room for your child is one thing, but on a 150k budget…. like seriously??? Can the people that go on this show get some self-awareness.
I quite love the interplay between these two. They tease, but without a mean edge. And you see their respect for one another's unique qualities. And they are both pushing, but patient. They need that with these two clients!
The picky couple needs a barn conversion. Vast ground floor space all on one level, possibly stone and old, potential for a ground-floor suite for the handicapped sister and upper-level room for the couple.
(16:14) It is absolutely astonishing how people think that craning your neck through a SKYLIGHT to see a bit of field qualifies as a 'view'! NO!!! If I am sitting on my bed and having to look at the walls or a bit of sky, THAT IS NOT 'A VIEW'!! A 'VIEW' means a real and rather large window framing something lovely outside.
It is fascinating how the British consider a view to be nothing but a tiny hole at any angle?? Between that and the shoebox rooms I’m surprised there hasn’t been a total revolution in housing that accommodates how people actually want to live!
@@r8chlletters I know!!! The problem is the Planning Dept and all their RULES. You can't put decent windows in a stone barn because it's a barn (IDIOTIC) and windows would compromise/change the innate character of the original building (ohdeargod). So, it's the Tail Wagging The Dog. HOWEVER, that same constipated Planning Dept keeps Britain from being 'Americanized.' And I am profoundly grateful (I can die in peace) knowing that that is so. I just wish that they would change the window rules (they have enough OTHER rules to keep them happy and keep everyone else hating them, to satisfy their perverse need for control). As (in my not so humble opinion) Britain is one of the most beautiful counties on the planet, I think its inhabitants ought to be allowed to ACTUALLY view their country without resorting to neck injuries.
The first house you buy is never the perfect house. It's a first step on the ladder. Yet, any of those houses would be worth double that price now, and they could have bought one and lived in it for a while and then sold it and got all their money back, up the property ladder.
100%.The young couple seem to forget their parents also didn't start in a large house unless they were both well off at the time. My parents first house was a doer upper - great bones (built 1814) but needed gutting and a new roof. They couldn't afford to gut so went room by room (my dad had to redo the electrics and plumbing as well, and did that first) when me and my siblings were under 5. My own first house was in much better condition (built 1890) and no gut job needed but it didn't have massive rooms or many of them.
Many of these folks are used to enjoying the spaces their parents have invested in and have no idea how they must buckle up and endure a first-time purchase in a crowded market competing against developers and cash buyers for anything.
Oh my goodness the expectations of these buyers, all of them were so delusional and frustrating 🤦♀️ I’m sitting in my one bedroom flat thinking I would have loved any of these houses 😊
Neither one of those families really want to buy a house. Ironically they all are clinging to their ageing parents. Too high expectations and too tiny little budgets.

What a patience. I couldn't do it. Tooooo much this young couple!!!
Love to see a revisit on these people.
I’m very impressed with Phil and Kirstie by not just ditching these people. Just scratch Vinny’s “cinema room.” I mean come on.

Both really wanted to stay home!

Love this programme. Thank you 😊
It’s the best for chill out/ happy time
Thank you :)
Wow Phil definitely needed a stiff drink!
So did I, after watching that couple. (And I haven't touched alcohol in 15 years!)

£150 grand is not a lot of cash, . Looking at property above this is nuts.
I think they are delusional.

Will be soooo glad when xmas is over and can get rid of annoying John Lewis advert !!! 😂
I don't even understand the Advert 😂😂
@@donnabuttery9316I googled it to see what the heck it was all about and we’re only seeing a fraction of it that makes no sense at all 😂
That young couple need to take a look at themselves and realise they can't afford their aspirations.
Won't they be redecorating the young couple. This lady is being too picky, you have to look at the buildings with potential, good luck to them 😊
Sorry my kids have no say in the property I buy….they are kids!!!
Oh my goodness the expectations of these buyers, all of them were so delusional and frustrating 🤦♀️ I’m sitting in my one bedroom flat thinking I would have loved any of these houses 😊
Some of these people poor Phil having to deal with this😂😂😂
The couple from Yorkshire may as well be speaking another language to me. I can’t understand a word they are saying lol.
Let me translate everything they said. It was endless variations on "No house is good enough for us."
It's true. I strained to catch words.
@lysem4392 or maybe what they want with Phil is convinced her parents to sell them their house. Because they are delusional.
Unrealistic househunters, basing their search on parents' homes and "mood boards" and other fantasies.
thank you
**( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡° )**
Neither one of those families really want to buy a house. Ironically they all are clinging to their ageing parents. Too high expectations and too tiny little budgets.
Wow these “buyers” have not got a clue…letting a vision board and a child determine serious investment in property is bonkers!
👎👎👎 repeat upload. Season 19 episodes were uploaded around 7 months ago.
They don't want to leave their parents. It's cheaper to stay at home. Have to pretend at house hunting to safe face.
This couple was really fussy and only saw problems. This show is as much about behavior and mental health ass anything.
I can see why Anne's single.
Poor Phil & Kirstie for having to deal with these horrible people. They are ALL delusional & very picky.
