Thanks Susan. Took a day just to edit that part but fun to do and glad all the effort was worth it. Perhaps Jan (and her twin) should pop up again sometime...🤔
Hi Jan and Tony. Really enjoyed this vlog - everyday things to do, but your style, humour and presentation somehow make it seem special. Trish has to take a load of pills daily so she has one of those "daily pills sorter" things that separate each day's tablets into one little compartment, doing away with all the separate packs - she finds it useful, and quicker. Loved the walk - those autumn colours were just fab. Fascinated by the thermal cooker - never heard of those before. Could be a great idea for our caravan - thank you. Stew looked yummy by the way. And what a lovely atmosphere as you both settled down to watch a bit of YT by the fire. Thanks for a lovely video. George and Trish - CaravanningMacs
Nice enjoyable video thanks to both of you. Tony I also take a multiple number of tablets every day. I took them like you do for quite sometime, my other half decided it would easier to get four, seven day containers to match my monthly supply from the doctors. What a revelation this has been, they are all sorted in one go and it’s so easy to see how many I have left. If I have three empty containers and one full it’s time to reorder. You can see at a glance exactly where you are. Hope this makes some sense. Regards Graham and Wendy.
Hello Graham and Wendy and thank you for commenting. I've only ever had the 7 day box and decided not to continue with it. However, one that contains a month's worth is far more convenient. Will have to investigate 🔎 Thank you 👍
Hi. We love your vlogs. After watching todays vlog we looked up the unusual bird on the tow path. A muscovy duck . Weve walked canal towpaths for year and never seen one. Cheers Nigel and Jo.
Yes Nigel. He's called Boris. Apprently there was a flock (?) of them and they all got moved on. But Boris didn't want to leave and still lives there! 🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I especially enjoyed seeing the canalside foliage, and the accompanying musical was superb. Thanks for sharing a day in your lives.
Brilliant vlog!! Great to see your daily day of chores.... and relaxation after!! Half expected you to open up a tub of sweets or chocolates while watching TV!! I must get a Mr D's for our boat, I hear you can get a recipe book from them as well and you can make bread and cakes in it!! Have a great Sunday layin!! Xxx
Thank you Lynette! We've already eaten one tub of sweets which were supposed to be for Christmas...oops 😲 There's quite a few recipes on the Mr D's website I think. Great bit of kit!
When I make coffee in a “volcano” I fill up the whole top with coffee - maybe 10 teaspoons - I note you only put 2.5 in. Interesting. I enjoy you videos especially evening drink time.
I really enjoyed this vlog!!! I love your channel so much and the way you love each other. I’m also a pill popper, coronary artery disease. Runs in the family. Take care of yourself and keep walking.
Thank you so much Barbara. Heart disease runs in my family too. Dad thought it was indigestion, the house was full of Rennie's! And my grandad died on Christmas Day just as he was about to carve the Turkey!!!
Well that was a fun and interesting vlog of what you two get up to ......🙃.....love tne thermal pot thingie .....where did you find it......I'd love one .......xxxx stay safe xxx
Hi, I love watching your vlogs. Always something interesting and new. Could you please tell me what type of thermal cooker you use? I would like to get one for our camper. Stay safe.
Hi Barbara, thank you for the comments! 👍 A friend of ours didn't use it so handed it to us. It's a Mr D's Thermal Cooker. I've added a link to their online store in the video description.
That was an awesome episode thank you for sharing.......BUT........I have one question?..... when you took the ash out of the fire where did you put it?. and also love the ending, playing your vlogs and ending it there brilliant thank you, Hubby and I are thinking of doing a utube Vlog over here in Adelaide Australia, just bought a small go pro like camera....
Thank you for your lovely comments Lyn. The ash goes into an ash bucket in the well deck and then when full gets tipped into special ash bins provided by the marina. GoPros are really good little cameras, the 10 is excellent so I'm told. We use the 7 alongside a few other cameras.
Hi both, love your vlogs - thank you. Not sure if you are based in a Marina or continuous cruise but, just wondering how you manage doctors and medication. I have to take blood pressure medication and have to have blood and pressure checks every six months. Just wondering how you manage as its a lifestyle we plan to adopt next year. Keep up the good work
Hi David and thanks for commenting. We have only been in a marina during the winter but will be CCing this year. Thankfully I only have to have an annual check up. The doctors we are registered with allow us to take 3 months prescription at a time and we can always order top ups as we travel via the NHS App. Alternately you can register with a delivery service like Lloyds (others are available!) and specify where you want it delivered. Can be a location by the canal if you're not in a marina or a nearby pharmacy. As we lived in Norfolk - miles away from the canal system, it was easier to change doctors but you don't need to have a fixed address to register with whoever is your nearest surgery. We have, however stuck with the same one since we moved on board and as it's fairly central I can get there if I ever need a check up. As you travel, you can use any passing surgery for any emergency treatment you might need (Jan needed on on the Llangollen.)
@@MakingNewMemories Thank you so much. We also live in Norfolk on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. Planning to move onto the canals when I retire next year.
Love your vlogs both! Can I ask, do you use the same amount of washing liquid in the cassette t as you would have done with the blue liquid? Ive heard of this before and are keen to try it to make a saving. Many thanks
Hi David and thank you. Great question! Yes, we put in the same amount as we would have done with Blue. Our Thetford also has the electric flush, so we add a little bit of flush formula which helps keep the pipes clean and provides a pleasant smell 👍
that close up of the bird was rather special
He's very friendly and his names Boris!
OMG I loved the segment with the two Jans! So clever and fun.
Thanks Susan. Took a day just to edit that part but fun to do and glad all the effort was worth it.

Thermal cookers are very handy for all sorts of meals and saves on gas as well 👍
The twins at the trash bins was awesome, well done!!
Can you imagine....TWO JAN'S!! 😲🤣
Great vlog sharing the insights of being a live aboard when you aren’t cruising. The beef stew looked amazing
Thank you Chef 👍 ❤
Now i know why Tonys left leg rattles all the tablets😏 Casserole looks really yummy ! You both look cosy 💓
Thank you Jan 👍❤ Cheers! 🍷

Thanks Steve.
Apprently his name is Boris! Was the only one who refused to leave when they moved the flock on some time ago.

It was only to make two cups of coffee so no need to over fill it. 👍
Love your Channel. Happy boating...
Thank you Madeline ❤👍
Hi Tony, you should get a pill organiser container for all your pills. I have a 2 row by 7 compartment one for my medication.
Good idea George, but me? Organised? 😆

Another enjoyable vlog. Thanks. One question - Where did you get the key for your water tank? It's exactly what I looking for.
Thank you! 👍
Search for 'Universal Deck Filler Key' and you should find a couple of options.
Excellent insight to your day. I am sure you participate in more alcohol than showed. 😂😂
What gives you that idea Clive...🤔🍷🍷🍷🍷🤣
