Axl was asked to perform with the Stones during the last two nights of their tour, but he would not do it without Izzy, since it was a dream they shared together. Just awesome AXL tore it up out there. OMG.

But one of the reasons the band broke up (besides drugs and personal problems) was because Axl was very ambitious and the band didn't like him. Slash said in an interview that he didn't like that axl was very bossy, that's why he left the band. Anyways, I love axl

Axl had much greater range and control. If only he realized the rasp was an effect and turned it off he could have had great longevity, too. GNR songs should have been reworked for live performance, too, it's just too tough on the singer.

Definitely from the Steel Wheels tour in '87ish. I saw it at Foxboro Stadium, in MA when Guns N Roses was the opening act with Living Coulor. Probably a closing number where Axl came out to close the show, more than likely a secondary closer, cuz it's mellow & the Stones always close with Gimme Shelter & a cover of Dylan's Like a Rolling Sone. So killer...🤘
