Well, don’t feel so bad cos we have at least 20 other classics from this band. I kinda like that this one is just for us… the people who were there and know it exists and had the album. @@adamstar7516 yeah, sometimes it's like that isn't it. A friend of mine loved that song and somehow didn't notice the lines that people find offensive. I didn't even bring it up, they'll be too addicted by the time they work it out. People have a harder and harder time accepting the idea that songs don't just transparently present the artists true thoughts. When things are made so taboo it's hard for a good artist to resist stepping over the line just cos it's there and you're right, there's a hundred other songs others can enjoy

Thanks to Mark Dice for reminding me of this song. Now, I’ve seen a live recording of it. I remember the days when this song got a lot of attention in 2018. I was in class with a joke of a substitute teacher, so it was one of those fuck all, do nothing, periods. I took off my jacket and my friend noticed I happened to be wearing a Guns N’ Roses shirt. He then asked me what my favorite song was and I said “it’s so easy”… or “patience.” He said… well, have you ever heard “one in a million”? I said I couldn’t recall… so I played it and we shared the earbuds. He was eager to see my reaction as the lyrics went on and I was a little shocked but I liked the song. During this, a girl in front of us asked what song we were listening to. I told her, and to go listen to the song. After about a minute went by, half the classroom turned into a real life Twitter debate. Some were arguing over what the best gnr song was, some were arguing over whether the song was racist, and some were disgusted that some have never even heard Guns N’ Roses!!! Axl had no idea that 30 years later, 34, now…people would still be talking about this song.

This concert is brilliant, I hope someone can enhance it one day. Glad to see the Gunner's do still have a heart, not usually them, but their record labels. I would have been about 16 or 17, when this was done. Started to listen to metal in my second year of secondary school 13 or 14, worked after school till from 10 to 15, used to listen to Pop back then. When I got to about 14 (According to Mum, my school mates used to hang out with me in town on a Friday night and party, one of their brothers was a little bit older, but had been listening for ages, so we used to go and sink a few beers and watch, what we had recorded onto VHS on the telly, still have those tapes) my best mate was into it and lean't me a few Cassettes. Had been working spent my teenage years torn between musical ambitions, education, and main interest ICT (Gaming back in those days). Might give it a go, should have the tools and hardware and A.I. does a good job. Did my first recording onto my old tape recorder whilst getting over a hangover and my mates got hold of it. Was called Granddad at the Ritz, that tape after that. It was terrible, with no Reverb or Echo. No wonder it takes so long to sing properly, then every now and then One in a Million like Axl turn up with a voice that was strong, able to do vibrato whilst sustaining notes and has the full range from F to F, some think he might ever have got higher. I did find a raw cut of them with no production year ago. It was also pretty rough, but it was from a concert. And they used to always sound terrible in the 90's until digital music/equipment took over. I wonder if they all have a copy, that they put on at parties from anyone still around?) In my top 5, probably 3, when I was younger and Lies and Appetite first landed. Was 20ish when Use your Illusion did, some of the songs on those two albums, resonated a lot with me then. Probably why I've managed to stick around, no matter how hard I tried. Lost a lot of friends to the lifestyle over the years. Ironically got sick, so had to give most things up, otherwise I would have been gone probably in a year or two and ended up so far away, working in a government job. No drinking or anything for 9 years. But kept on playing till I had to sell my gear and leave home for the first time (Small town's eh). Only 52, going by all my favourite bands still around, plenty of time, to make it. I managed to get on a CD Cover a few years ago, but it was a bit of a Gimic, by artist. But still super cool and he plays with Blaze Bayley in Europe. Amazing Classical Guitarist, does some GNR covers. Check out Thomas Zwijsen on UA-cam, here is a song link ua-cam.com/video/uECVm6KDWdM/v-deo.htmlsi=niRpsyNJD2B5WmbX or www.kingofthestrings.com also has a .com address.
