Guns N' Roses (sometimes abbreviated as GN'R or GnR) is an American rock band. The band formed in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band, led by frontman and co-founder Axl Rose (born William Bruce Rose, has gone through numerous line-up changes and controversies since its formation; the current lineup comprises vocalist Rose, guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, DJ Ashba and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman. The band has released six studio albums, three EPs and one live album during its career.
The band has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide,including over 46 million in the United States.The band's 1987 major label debut album Appetite for Destruction has sold in excess of 28 million copies worldwide and reached number one on the United States Billboard 200. In addition, the album charted three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Sweet Child o' Mine" which reached number one.The 1991 albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II debuted on the two highest spots on the Billboard 200 and have sold a combined 14 million copies in the United States alone and 35 million worldwide. After over a decade of work, the band released their follow-up album, Chinese Democracy, in 2008.
Their mid-to-late eighties and early nineties years have been described by individuals in the music industry as the period in which "they brought forth a hedonistic rebelliousness and revived the punk attitude-driven hard rock scene, reminiscent of the early Rolling Stones."

This just shows that axl is a human. You can hear it coming out of him. I think all the hate he gets is pathetic. Most of the people who speak badly of him were once big fans, angry that he made mistakes. Hes a changed man now, and GNR is back, better than ever, poised to save rock n roll for the second time. Mark my words. And at the helm, we have this genius, Axl Rose. Long live GNR

like him just in his low/mid range baritone doing Beatles/Elton John songs would way better for me
@@vi0letcr1me That would be ok for me too. If he cannot do his high voice anymore, he should adapt the songs for a lower tone, I think some of them would work like that.

to me this is when he is at his best musically. He is obviously great as the screechy front man, but I think his voice is at its best in this smooth baritone range instead of the wailing high stuff.

When I was a child I loved Superheroes, but when I grew up a little I realized that they are unreal and fictional, until one day I saw Guns N' Roses on TV, then I realized that Axl is the real Superman, but the strength of this Superman is in his voice. I am very sorry that today in 2022 Superman sounds like he ate kryptonite, but regardless he is a legend and a hero for all time. He took risks and in the end gave his strength to make the earth a better place for humanity

I think.. It's because it comes from a place of true- broken heart pain. You can feel. It.. Axl Is a unique artist whereby you can feel hiis sensitivity in thhe song and chooses to sing on mostly based on real life experiences. Good or bad. I feel he brings whatever is going on in his personal life /mind straight to the stage. If he's happy you know. If he's sad you'll know that too. He only can smile when he means it. And as we know, This is only a cover song and he sings it that deeply and it shows how complex he is as a person. That's my take on why it makes you cry. This particular video may just be the blueprint to show - Axl isn't really like any other artist. That pain is all too real in an illusion industry. This particular song makes me. Cry too .

Axl Rose is a complicated dude. Sometimes I want to hate him for being so full of himself and disrespectful to audiences by refusing to go on stage etc I also generally don't like his high screechy voice, but then he will go and hit a home run on a classic Black Sabbath track and I just have to love it 😃
