Hey I go to a small church and we always record our service and I edit it to go live on Sundays and I used the headphones Jack on the mixer to get sound to go to the camera I was wondering if there was a better way to record service and worship please for better sound

Hey! It’s best to record as many individual channels as you can so you can mix things for broadcast differently than for the live room. Does your soundboard potentially have a Dante card in the back of it?

Brother, I found your channel years ago when you made those Guitar Faces videos. I am half the musician today that you were then. I was just watching a concert and talking with a friend, and those videos popped into my head. I remembered I was subscribed to you and that you were a Christian. I recently became a Christian, after being a nondescript agnostic for my first 27 years. I am 30 now, and in about a week I will receive Baptism in the Holy Orthodox Church.
I want to be blunt: this is about to turn into an evangelism pitch. I saw this video you made about worship music- in the Orthodox Church there are no instruments, it's all choral. The Orthodox Church is the original and unchanged Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles at Pentecost. It is over 1000 years older than the Roman Catholic "church"; there is no pope, only Christ. Before the break between East and West in 1054 which caused Rome to form its own church, the word "Orthodox" didn't need to exist: there was only The Church. But that same Church still exists and it is the Orthodox Church. Orthodox Bishops and Priests exist in an unbroken chain of ordination going back to Saints like Saint Polycarp, who personally knew Saint John the Apostle. Orthodox monasteries have monks like Saint Joseph the Hesychast who lived in the the 20th century and yet spoke and wrote like Saint Paul. No church in the world takes the Gospel as seriously as the Orthodox Church does.
Please brother- if you want the absolute fullness of Christ, look into Holy Orthodoxy, or find and visit an Orthodox parish. It is absolutely otherworldly, yet feels like the only true home in these crazy times. I'm praying for you mang.
    With love in Christ
    -The sinner Joshua

Thank you for sharing this with me! I love acts of worship across the global church. Instruments are certainly not necessary for that connection and praise to be given. I’ve got a few friends in the orthodoxy tradition and I find a lot of it beautiful. My trust, hope, and faith is in Christ alone!
Thanks for remembering my channel after all these years! Hope to someday maybe even meet!

Thank u, we do live spontaneous worship. There are easily 8 songwriters.
I feel that it would be a project that we could pay someone to do.
One of the elders at my church does not think we have enough money to produce recordings. I think my church can take donations to begin producing though! It would be a small business start up. It is an opportunity to bless others.

Best of luck in that process! It's always helpful to have people on your team that can pitch in services and talents to help start it all up!

Can you give list of equipment for a life recording. I have a small home studio.

I think if the venue has the equipment to put the instruments through a sound system it would be a matter of finding a way to get those channels also routed to your recording computer. "Dante" is a simple way to do this if a sound board has a "dante card." But maybe I can do a video for you to show kind of what all you'd need too. Definitely look into recording with "dante" though!

Why do you need a catch frace, when you have a legendary guitar-face(s). Love your humor. It would do well in Denmark.
