This and 'suger girl' are the better than the A side 'just like heaven' but this doesn't sound exactly how I remember it, not enough treble! I'm gonna dig out my vinyl and check my ears are ok. Great upload ♡
I agree - great B-side. Proud owner of the 12". The audio isn't so hot on this rip -- the vinyl sounds 100x better...before mp3 conversion then youtube's compression...so, yeah - this sounds very thin and not 3D.
i borrowed the vinyl format of this songs during the late 80s simply bec just like heaven sounded better there but i also kept listening to this b side songs....definitely songs that marked that wonderful feeling during my youthful days cant help but feel young again tnx to this song.
hmmm....they didnt sell out too much afaic atleast song writing wise or songs like icing sugar would have been cut out for good...i still prefer the cure as acid pop new wave.
I made my own version of KMKMKM how it should have been in my mind and basically it involves throwing out a third of the tunes on the record and replacing them with tunes that didn't make the record. This, Chain of flowers, To the sky, Sugar girl, A japanese dream, and Breathe replace (not in this order, i'd have to check how i did it) Torture (good musically...horrible lyrically), The snakepit, hey you!!!, Hot hot hot, If only tonight we could sleep (yeah i know most people like this one, i don't), All i want and.....i just remove Fight without replacing it because it is in top 3 worst Cure songs of the 80's, how this made the record i'll never know. Anyway the cd i grew up with only had 17 songs! I guess then logically the free omission should be Hey you...but either way. In this version, kmkmkm gives a Disintegration a run for its money. It doesn't beat it...but it would have been an amazing one two punch those two records in a row. As it was released, i always felt KMKMKM has good highs and terrible lows.
Milk Carton my version would be 1.hey you 2.perfect girl 3.hot hot hot. 4.how beautiful you are 5.torture 6.if only tonight we could sleep 7.catch 8.breathe 9.shiver and shake 10.all i want 11.icing sugar 12.sugar girl 13.a thousand hours 14.snow in summer
the cure always knew how to rock the b-sides. another gorgeous song from robert and co.
my favorite the cure song !!
10years later is it still your fav song?and if yes whats the memory youre holding on to while listening to it?
Unbelievable that this was simply a b-side. Better than any single they've released in the last 15 years.
Awesome sounds like a letter to elise
Love this to bits!!! still have it on vinyl!!!12" Thanks for posting!
My 45 has Breathe on the b-side
