Yup... a bit lacking in torque to pull the F10's heavy body enthusiastically, but creamy smooth. More satisfying than the later 4-cylinder turbos, but also needs to be worked harder.
@@KonWaiLuen hahahaha used waja b4.. Honestly love it.. But somehow I find the newest waja which r used by pdrm.. They cps version, its somehow abit cantik n sporty laa.....
This particular unit looks to be in fantastic condition for its vintage. I remember this generation 523/520i Pre LCI rims were downright ugly, not sure why BMW did it.... but yes, they fixed it in the LCI. All bar the 535i didn’t get keyless entry which was a bit stupid, and the button paint peeling was a common issue in the early units, the LCI fixed it. Also, didn’t have paddle shifters which was another weird one on BMW Malaysia. I’m surprised this unit has the updated navigation, the 2010 one had a tiny screen (believe it was the 6.5”). As for the engine, from what I was told the Malaysian 2.5 (carry over from E60) was purposely chosen for this market (and a few others in the region) because of the climate if I’m not mistaken so that is something to be weary. And definitely, 108k is not cheap, but if you could get this unit for 100k, I think you’re in a great price as trust me, most of the Mudah cars are in rougher shape and higher mileage. If I were to buy used, I personally would either buy this over the 520i, yes this has a higher road tax and yes, this also has a higher (slightly) fuel consumption in the real world, but you don’t have to deal with the rubbish auto start stop from 2012, and realistically speaking this car has the same equipment as that 2012 520i. Fun fact, for a base model, this car had a lot of under the skin equipment, like electronic damper control and if I’m not mistaken, it should have integral active steer (which is not available after the F10 Pre LCI in Malaysia). Great car, looks to be in fantastic condition.
In 1916, I contacted my local BMW dealer and asked that they find me a two year old 535i. They called me a couple of days later with news of a find. It's a black 535i, with matching black leather interior. It has the twin turbo three litre inline six engine, eight speed automatic, X Drive and the M Sport package. Wonderful car, great to drive, and now I'm thinking of moving up to the M5, so it's time to call on my dealer again.
What makes a person sell off a perfectly good car with such low mileage :/ I always assume something is fishy when a 7-8 year old car has less than 80,000 kms and is on sale.
My w204 bought in 2013 only clocked 50k mileage! Nothing fishy! Just park at off car park and drive home daily! I got another w213 lagi low mileage, two years liao only clocked 16k!
@@whipcream003 just bought a W212 FL last month, 2013 car but with 1800km only. The seller is my boss Fengshui master from China(he is also Malaysia PR), he only drove the car when he was invited back to Malaysia for new projects. The car was parked at the same parking lot for the past 4 years hehehe. Some minot problem of course, but other than that the car is like almost new!
It depends. For eg. the company I work at provides a generous amount of allowance for senior directors, this allows them to change D-segment cars as frequent as once in every 5yrs when the factory warranty is almost due. These cars are also usually low mileage as they travel abroad frequently, with the cars usually used from and to work, and they have at least another SUV and MPV at home for weekend family activities..
Performance a little lethargic by today's standards. Good if you appreciate the smooth-revving 6-cylinder engine, but for most people, the 2.0 turbo versions are more complete all-rounders. Get a 535i if budget permits
Hi kon may i know about this NA engine compare to the twin turbo engine which one is more easy to maintaine and which one will b the economic to maintain ?😁
Definitely NA. Less complexity and gentler wear and tear. You do pay double the road tax of a two litre car, however, and you'll have 6 spark plugs and ignition coils to change as opposed to just 4.
Seems like it's a company car, I know a MNC that used to own this car model and wanted to buy it when they want to let it go, but a friend told that that particular unit are a headache, but if it's refurbished I would consider again 🤔

I dont get it why Kon has only 20k plus subscription.. Great Detailed vdos as well. Keep it up Kon.
Thanks for watching!
I honestly find this interior still very beautiful.
Looks way better than the W212
Peter Ambrose Yes, agree with you. I am a merc fan but the F10's interior has aged better. Though i find the W212's exterior better
Get the E300 3.0 if buying w212, skip the E200. Comes with all the bells and whistles and a less complicated engine which means fewer repair.
F10 523i n52 very smooth engine and reliable

EDC is a costly replacement item. U are looking at 2k minimum for original replacements each.
They said N53 didn't came to Malaysia due to high sulphur content in gasoline. But N52B25 is more than enough and proven for its reliability.
Careful with steering rack and electric parking brake. It’s coming

Yeah Very fishy to me also. 2011 only at 72,000 km hmm. That is 8 years also means that the former driver only drove 24km a day. Hmm

Looks pristine but a 528i 3.0 would be the sweet spot.
If you don't mind the RM2k road tax, but yes, the N52 3.0 is a lovely engine.
