HI Dark Star Gaming, welcome back. Yup. as some of my content can be repetition, therefore most of my content are with timeline, so that you can always jump to what you want to watch hahahah. Btw thank you for your feedback. Greatly appreciated it. 👍👍👍
Do you know if it’s possible to replace the wifi module? I see that they use mediatek’s wifi 6e module but I wonder if I can change it out for an intel AX210. Great video by the way! So much detail went into it!
Hi Norm, welcome to my channel. I will be upfront, eversince I tested the AX210 on X670E mobo which is not compatible, I didn't test on X870E and not going to do that. this motherboard currently running fine as it was used by a good friend of mine. If wish to change it, you can, but at your own risk.
So, the only downside is lacking USB 4? If you consider that it cost half the price of the similar X870E, and it's mATX which means it fits much better in most PC cases, this choice is great.
very informative. I was eyeing this board for a lian li a3 build but the x16 PCIE being in the lower position is not ideal. Now I am waiting on news of the MSI MAG B850M Mortar -- I hope you can do a video on that board as well in the future.
Hi nodokei, welcome to my channel. Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. I see what I can do to request for the B850M Mortar.. no promises though. Thank you!
Hahaha, well done! I am just curious what the NVMe rubber support is for. And you well explain them. You also test it with 9950X the most power hungry Zen 5, which is tell me the VRM is suficients for high end CPU. Today I also prefer M-ATX boards rather than full-size ATX for flexibility inside the casing. I am interested in this board, but only the price is quite high. And still no clear CMOS button onboard. Just my suggestion: please buy some small on/off buttons for the bed test so you will have more convenience doing on/off during the test. Not only for on/off, I also use this small switch for clear CMOS if there is no button on board. Great review.
@@KleoYan Anyway, what's your recommendation between this Asus TUF B850M and Asus Rog Strix B650-A if mobo size doesn't matter? The price is almost the same in my country. Does the B850 chipset give us such a noticeable benefit over the B650?
@@yr6sport418 Hi and welcome back. honestly speaking, the only difference I see are 1) For Tuf B850, no lane sharing, all operates full at full lane speed, else for the B650-A, there is lane sharing between the 2nd PCIE slot and the 3rd M.2 slot. M.2_3 slot shares bandwidth with PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (supports x4 mode) When M.2_3 slot is operating in PCIe mode, M.2_3 will be disabled. 2) The Tuf B850 is using Realtech Ethernet nic, else for the B650-A is using Intel nic (Better NIC) if price between these two are of no big difference, I will still go for the Tuff B850 and reason is.. 1) no lane sharing as mentioned above. 2) you can build in smaller case to save space
Hello, watched your video but I'm a bit clueless, if I'm getting a AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D 8-Core should i use a ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WiFi AMD AM5 as my mother board? I've been told to get a good AIO cooler for the Ryzen do you have any recomendation? I used to run a i7 14700K but I've sent it to RMA and am looking to swap to AMD now so I'm a bit clueless on AMD processors.
Hi Jas2davir, welcome to my channel. the 9800X3D runs find with X870E or B850 or even the older generation B650 or X670E. it greatly depends on you, if budget allows. If you are into gaming only and on a budget. the Tuf B650 Plus WiFi will be sufficient enough but if the price of this board is about 50 bucks more for this Tuf B850M or even the Tuf B850. as for highier tier boards, yes, they do have USB 4.0 and yes you can plug in more Gen 5 m.2 but seriously if you are only into gaming, Gen 5 m.2 does not go super fast, a Gen 4 m.2 will be sufficient. Same apply to USB 4.0.. no point to have it where you dont use it. so this are my advise to you. As for Liquid Cooler or Aircooler, if you are in a hotter region throughout the year. I will advise you to go Liquid cooling. you can refer to this ua-cam.com/play/PLEW-b-2vYDdNBAB1QdS1fY1O3EHeHEdOP.html&si=r1JHG0gf-zMOJ4cc and it depends on your budget too.

Hi 56uxT56b, welcome back. As I do not have any other brands boards, I will only answer base on this board, Yes it has the capablity to run 9800X3D or 9950X3D, I also can't assume that the 5000 series GPU should be fine. Kindly note I do not have the 5000 Series GPU so I can only assume.

@@User098ct You are most welcome. Yes Arctic LF3 is good budget cooler that does the job to cool AM4 or AM5 processor. Infact it's effortless for Liquid Coolers. As for Aircooler.
