Why is it hard to get answers from manufacturer on which one are they sending ? when a customer purchases this meter? There is no info on the one with the circular meter, is that the one with the update? all the meters they show is the one with the linear scale meter, even when you click on the one with the circular meter MT28C at the seller's store link.? Can someone clarify what is going on?

Hey there. There are actually two different buying options on Amazon. One indicates that it includes a software update. That is the one we purchased. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can do any software updates through Amazon after you have purchased. You may need to contact the company.
This reading is useless to be honest, as far as what we learn at school, the moisture percentage in the wood changing "Continuously" there should not be a "HUGE" gap 32% vs 18% .
