Dude, garbage cans, garbage cans, garbage cans or you’ll be cleaning up for a year pulling crap out of the trees out of the bushes. Garbage cans, lots of garbage cans.
This! Adding my comment so he sees it, clean up duty is no fun lol
Best comment I’ve seen while watching the the series couldn’t agree more!! 👌🏼👌🏼
To be fair he has 2 big ol dump trailers that he can put in the middle of the fields
Bootysnapple fest will end up looking like Woodstock did afterwards.
You'll never have enough garbage cans for an event of this size!
For those going to the Booty Snapple Fest, be a good representative of the community and leave the place better than you found it.
As a hiker the saying is, leave nothing but footprints.
@@f0rumrr
And take nothing but pictures.
This. All of this. So much. People are so disrespectful these days and whoever is going or ever goes there needs to show matt and his property nothing but respect.
@@ziploc53 ditto
@@ziploc53 What about trash? In camping it's good practice to take any trash you find so you actually clean it up by being there
Enjoyed the Desperado Ranch. Our stay was fantastic !!! Wife and I, wish to thank Mitchell for our ride up and back to tour. Loved meeting everyone. Dr Lee, Mere, Mikey, Drewski, Dr Matt, and all the rest of Bunker Branding family. Matt Carricker we would go to any and all events. Hope to be moved to San Antonio this time next year.
We're you able to view the eclipse, or was it too cloudy?
So glad yall came and had fun. Thanks for being a part of it!!!
@@OffTheRanch So now that it's over no more content... one video every ten days again.
As someone who knows from experience, there's only 1 longhorn proof fencing. 5 rail pipe fence. Everything else they can walk right through if they want to. We had a bull that destroyed 7 barbed wire fences before we got him home, only for him to break out of the crosstie and welded wire coral and half of my grandmother's chicken coop.
Who builds an enclosure for a bull out of welded wire my small dogs can even get through that
@@ppproductions6495 10ga wire cattle panels. There fuse welded together. Fence was 6 ft tall.
If two of them are Glock and Beretta, the wonky one has to be Highpoint for sure
Haha, that's just mean xD
@resurgam_b7 but I love it! 😂😂😂
lol
I'd say keltech for the wonky 1
LMAO!
Rose, Dorothy and Blanche the golden girls
Which is which? I'm thinkin Blanche is red, Rose has wonky horn, and Dorothy is spotted.
I was thinking the same thing after he said these are old girls.
Rose was always the wonky one.
Great idea. Go with it Matt.
Bet me to it , that was my exact thought.
"If the sun would come out" [for an eclipse] is a hilarious statement. Love you, buddy!
Of all the things you could control, it wad a perfect event. Cant wait to see the dirt sled videos!
Hahaha I ripped my pants!
I'm actually more excited to see how this entire event unfolds for you than I am for the eclipse.
Same
Me too. Excited for him.
If it goes well it could become a yearly event. Bootysnapple Fest every spring
im in that same boat its a test run for the new resort.
@@knight838_ though I don't think he'll turn off the sun every year. Though I am sure he'll come up with some awesome themes.
Christmas in April
Halloween in April
I think April is a good month, before it gets too hot.
The only thing you're missing @Matt Carriker is a farm dog that follows you around all day. Like maybe an Australian shepherd
Or an Australian kelpie 👍
You definitely need an Aussie shepherd. We had one when I was a young man and if there were adults in the yard she would herd them into a tighter and tighter group, it was funny.
We have one. Great dogs forsure
@matt gives me blue heeler vibes😂
He has Mikey
My wife and i had a great time, so glad we got to be a part of it. It was great to meet matt and the whole crew, everybody was so laid back and super helpful! Looking forward to another event so i can bring the kids next time!
As the parent of a disabled child, I appreciate the ADA compliant porta potties. We camped for about 10 years in tents. My wife would leave on Friday morning in a Taurus wagon stuffed full and completely set up the campsite in a rustic campground. She had our two disabled children ( one in a wheelchair) and a beagle named Barney. I would come up when I got off work . She would great meet when I got there with an open beer. We celebrate our 50th this June.
Theirs like three stoires happening in this comment
Congratulations!
Their names should be Rose, Dorothy and Blanche 😊 Matt you did say they are older girls 👍
Hopefully, you see this before the band plays. If the roof vibrates get yourself some sandbags to put on the roof the dampen the vibration. 1 every 4 square feet should do the job. Also you now have a pavilion for the big berm at the shooting range.
Or liquid nail the fur strips then rescrew the metal down vibes gone!
@@stevenkryptonite1641liquid nail is for suburban moms who don't know how to do it right
The roof isn't study enough, it should be pulled up afterwards and plywood sheets laid to give the roof strength and have something to better fasten the metal sheets to. You could walk on the roof safely if needed.
Yeah buddy is thinking here!
@anthony2507 what are you talking about, this is 1000000% fine for a small shelter lol and still walkable. The only thing he did wrong is screw in the valleys not the ridges🤦♂️
Thank you for having us and we hope to make it next time too!
Any time! Thank you!!!
@@OffTheRanch my son Silas had a blast specially playing with your staff members’ son that had the same name
We need an update video of the event, dying to see everything!
Placing porta-potties according to predicted wind direction is key. Guests love being downwind from them. Especially with the crowds eating from food trucks.
Ya might want to move the rv a bit further away from what will probably be a very loud stage so that your officers can hear their radios when the music is playing.
I had the same thoughts
Exactly, my first thought!
The officers can hear their radios when standing in front of the amps... They'll be fine
It should be as far away from the stage as possible but at a quick access point to the whole event.
They aren’t going to be in there much.
Had a great time of the eclipse party . Thanks for having it 🎉
Awesome!!!! Thanks for being a part of it
Been watching Matt for quite some years, really enjoyed watching him, shoot and destroy things, but now I’m just fascinated by his awesomeness to restore the resort. The guys a legend.
Mouser is so big. We need to see more of him. Nice to see he has a buddy to run around the ranch with.
It's probably good to put the port a potty bank under shade, have you ever smelled a port a potty that has been used, and is now sitting in the blaring sun for days?! It's a no good...
We had 120 Marines using 4 port-a-potties in 90 degree weather. After day 3, we were using random trees. The p-a-p's were worse than the CS gas hut.
guess you didn't see the weather forecast in the video... Matt is praying there is some sun..
I wonder how it turned out? I heard there were big storms in the area.........
Once went to this little fest up in Mendocino called Big Bass Theory 2 on a peninsula near the ocean. 3 small stages. One was on a trailer. Another was in the back of a boat. The third was in the back of a UHaul. Little chill tent. Couple of porta potties. Firepit. Everyone camped wherever they wanted. Super fun times. Wishing your fest is as awesome or better. Praying for good weather for you!
Good luck, Matt. You've worked so hard for this, you deserve it to go smoothly.
Rose, Dorthy and Blanch should be the name of the long horns.
Hey I know I'm late but I've got a 40ft gooseneck and use it for parades, take a screw and screw through the 2x4 into the metal, it won't go through if you're careful but it will tighten up the gap and the rail won't wiggle as much
If you need more room on the stage you could build a plat for that goes behind the stage for the drummer and some of his kit.
Should make a disc golf course out there, all you need is 9 baskets and some small cement tee pads. Would probably be one of the cheapest things to put on resort.
This! Definitely this! 🔥
I can see it now - combination disc golf and skeet range.
@@RealTechZen tell me youre not responsible enough to own guns without telling me.
Make a removable skirting for the stage. You could have outdoor wedding with just foldable chairs. Be good cheap rustic wedding. Be cool to build a dance floor system as well. Band use stage after wedding over. Have bbg or catering company to offer.
It’s not a permanent structure. That trailer will be used for other things. This is very temporary
Even if the sun is clouded over it's going to be one hell of a party.
Wish I was there!
Were is eclipse video???
Since it seems the chance of rain is increasing, I suggest you have a couple of tractors and tow straps on hand, since your ground is not paved or graveled. Doesn't take much rain to get slick, then you will have ruts, and then people will be getting stuck, thereby needing to be pulled out/towed. Then, some repairs will be needed to return the ground to its present state. Fate favors the prepared.
Just an FYI for the future they make a potty, sink, shower unit too that can be permanent or semi permanent in case you need something like that as construction moves forward.
Yeah they use them around work sites with chemicals as decontamination/shower rooms. Very handy in a pinch
Just left the desperado resort. Thanks for having me over
Thank you. Excelent job on the stage, cattle are just fantastic ,going to be a fantastic resort
Matt just install drip edge, 3 x 3“ on the front and back that way rain won’t go back into the stage.
My thought exactly! Oh well, too late now!
Oh yeah…. That would be smart
Maybe I’ve just been watching Matt for a long time but whenever he’s got something big going on and he’s closing in on the finishing date you can see the amount of focus and dedication he puts into whatever he’s doing
But at the same time, giddy like a school girl.
Simple run a 2 ft. Slash under tin roof edge to extend out
Good luck with your event Matt. Should be awesome !!!!
I wish I could be there tomorrow. Looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Hope the weather is perfect for y’all.
$800 for a night in a field lol there's one born every minute 😂
It’s supposed to be cloudy in Texas tomorrow
It’s going to be fully overcast lmao
@@Mt24855 its 800?????
@@jackshollenberger8904 yeah from 600 up to 800 😅 I dunno about American airline ticket prices but that's a fortnight holiday fully inclusive
I mention this for the BootySnapple Fest II event, whenever that will be, so maybe you can plan ahead for it accordingly.
The State Fair of Oklahoma had at least 2 portable stages almost the same size that we would have to put out every year. They would have free concerts, cheerleader competitions, Native American dance exhibitions, and local bands playing on those stages. They could be pulled to the spot, the front side wall had a hydraulic lift, so it would fold out and up to become the roof, then another wall, directly behind it, also hydraulically folded out to make a floor, with adjustable legs. Then we could make the stage floor even bigger and attach all these modular stage floor pieces. They were maybe 30-40 feet long, and it was mostly steel and aluminum, except for the floors. Power was already attached so all you had to do was run some power lines to the Stage Trailer. Most of the bands would bring all their own equipment, and there was power setup for them to run their stuff.
I can see you having events each spring, maybe pew-pew swapmeets, car shows, or whenever. Its a huge thing to run all that and be sucessful. You are half way there, by selling out all the slots.
Yessir I set up production for a living never felt like typing this much tho lol I would love to come out there and help with the setup show/strike
Can't wait for the video of this event.
Praying you have good weather. Ours in Dallas is looking worse. 😢 hope you have a great event and please people, show respect and leave this gorgeous piece of property as you found it. 😊
Park another trailer in front of the stage and screw some 2x12 to cover up the gap, insta double depth stage with the back half covered.
I agree. You wouldn't even need to build a sub floor for it just plywood alone will serve the purpose. He plans on popping that roof off afterwards anyway. Just grab some 3/4" plywood and cover the gap. It's a 5th wheel so you could get it almost touching pretty easy.
Need to build a permanent stage And bring water & electricity to have for future events. Then you could put into a permits river walk trail with lights, benches, trash receptacles, beach area.
good for future use... now, they're on as it is...
wow...gone to a whole new level...
I think no matter what happens with the weather, it will be a fantastic time! So glad you bought this place and are so creative with it! Great success to you! Sure hope you video some of it for us people that can't attend your party!
The spacing on the strapping is usually 24 inches on center.
That's plenty of attachment points for the metal roofing.
I was a roofer for like 10 years.
Ribeye, T-Bone, and Flat Iron all great cow names
The longhorns are beautiful, I did notice the one had a goofy horn on one side! I hope the Eclipse turns out as a big hit for the Ranch Matt! 🌞 🌕🌑😎
Reminds me of Demolitia Day. Drove down to Texas from Colorado expecting warm weather. Coldest day on that day lol. Rest of the days I was down in Texas it was nice and warm tho lol.
You should call the one with the crooked horns Hi-point because it looks messed up.
Good work Matt!
It been such a great time so far. 😊
I used to put on music festivals and we used 2 trailers as our main stage and we had a small one for small sets in between. I would recommend to keep the amplifiers for sound system in a well shaded and ventilated spot or they will over heat.
I don't know how many people you're expecting but I'm gonna echo what other's have said about garbage cans.
You should have a lot of people who respect the property, so it won't be as bad as the average festival, but never underestimate the number of people who just drop trash without even thinking about it.
There will be clean up work after, but the most trash cans the easier that will be.
Great video it’s all coming together!!
When the event is over the stage cover would make a good shelter for the longhorns when you take it off
They make foam padding that goes under the corrugated roofing to cut down on the noise and vibration.
You might need some tarps that can hang down from the roof to protect the equipment from the possible rain.
Learned something cool about weather apps. Did you know the 44% chance of rain isn’t meaning that’s the chance of rain or no rain at all? It means that 44% of the area will receive rain.
Whaaat?!?! No waayyyy!!! Seriously?
That's not true lol
@@Jacobtheunwise okay lol, go look it up
@@Jacobtheunwise he is true.
It is true
Can't wait to see how your camp out did!!
Oh the irony of longhorns on Matt’s place. Makes my burnt orange heart happy.
Matt, this summer you just need these houses to be in a clean and acceptable shape for people to stay in for river stuff!! the double wide has ez potential
Great Luck Guys!!!!
I hope all went well and the storms weren’t bad in your area.
To stop the metal rattling you could of ran some weather foam stripping along the 1x4's that way vibrations are damped by the foam n you'll hear a huge difference with n with out it
no time now, but just any type of cloth between the wood and the metal would be enough to stop the vibration, the better the cloth the better result... but as it is, is ''good enough'' as Matt said...
There's a gap filler foam shaped to the wave of the tin, would definitely make it more quiet.
I was thinking just some expanding foam in the gaps between the boards and roof
go back to home depot and grab some spray foam and foam up the bottom of that stage roof. it will cut out sounds.
Now, that's a pavilion!
That stage is built more sturdy than most homes I've seen LOL.
If not brick built then It's a shed. Some Palacial sheds have been known, indeed the most heavy building ever is not brick built and is therefore a shed.
@@ABrit-bt6cecongratulations on having the dumbest definition of sheds and homes to have ever surfaced on the internet.
You're awesome for what you have done already not just the ranch but the mansion as well love the content.
Good luck, Matt and Company! Supposed to be cloudy in WNY, too!
I must say I love the long horns
18:00 you know its done well when david says good job.
I'd suggest 6'x8' minimum for a drumkit. Unless he has a small kit and rack. The throne is what sits back the furthest. You may want to consider a floating platofrm on the back. I play in a 5pc band and that would be extremely cramped. Also, what does your PA setup look like?
the cow with the jacked horn you can call her Hi-Point LOL
Names for the 3 longhorn cows!
1) Porterhouse
2) Outlaw Ribeye
3) T-Bone
Lights in the stage if they are performing Monday night, skirting on the front of the stage (sheets stapled on)
Perfect way to start my day. Thanks Matt!
We had Viking rentals on Hood when I was stationed there. Some very colorful field art in those. Bittersweet memories.

Maybe some type of bunting or banner across the lower front of the stage?
And Longhorns perfect addition!
looks awsome.. even if its cloudy and you cant see the sun its still getting dark! What a amazing party.

Don’t have time for that buddy
It's 1115 on April 8 - I hope you have a beautiful event and nice weather.
I'm looking forward to hearing how it all went and seeing soem video of the event.
Buy a coil of flashing metal slide it under the edge of the roofing, and overhang the exposed wood.
Im not an expert on acoustics but I think the metal roof might mess up the sound a little.
Clint's the absolute man! It's always good to see him in the videos.
the longhorns are a beautiful addition to the resort!
You got this Matt, you have an awesome team of folks around you. Garret will tell you, perfection takes time and everyone has to start somewhere. We can all see how much work you guys are doing, so even if on the slim chance thing aren't 100% we all know it won't be from a lack of trying.
Hey, Matt, it's probably not a good idea to have the airstream so close to the stage. If the police are gonna be using it and you have your staff using it they're gonna need to build a here better than I have loud music
Not sure how the soil is there but here in GA if we had a bunch of people come out on our grass field and it rained...were gonna have a lot of stuck vehicles, lol. Even with all of the grass and weeds
I hope that all goes well!
