I have never watched a program to Chrochet because I don't know how. I just want you to know you are the best teacher I have looked at on being courteous enough to explain as you go and slow enough to do over and over again. You are wonderful and I enjoy watching how you teach people like me just starting at 65 and with arthritis to go along with it. The only other person that can teach me anything lives in Oaklahoma and she is my best and can do any thing. Thank you again. I am so enjoying this. Joyce🪢🌄
Just finishing my shell baby blanket..putting on the border tomorrow 💕 thank you for your really wonderful instructors...I’ll post a pic when finished completely...I love it.
Thank you so much for clear and easy to follow instructions. I've wanted to do this stitch for so long but thought it was too complicated for me. Having mislaid my 5mm hook I'm doing it with a 6mm, but I'm doing it! And it's so easy!!
This looks like an easy, simple, pretty blanket for a small child to cuddle with in a crib or on a couch, or to lay on while on the floor playing or watching cartoons. I really love the alternating white and color combinations. Will start this soon!!
Thank you for this lovely tutorial. Variegated yarns are so great for this type of pattern! Regarding the" texture". I got the idea that you simply just can work on the front side throughout the pattern. Just like you do in mosaic overlay crochet. Because both ends and every row start is the exact same. That way the shells will look even and flat!
I love this pattern I started the baby afghan yesterday going to donate to our church's festival this coming August for the boutique sales Thank you for a great TUTITORIAL.
Great tutorial. Now making a blanket with this pretty stitch. Will be looking for my next project with your tutorials as you explain and demonstrate brilliantly. Thank you.
That is absolutely beautiful. The variegated yarn you chose is gorgeous - and perfect with the white. I'm going to have to try this once I finish my current granny square project. I'm a beginner - but I'm certain that I'll be able to do this with your clear instructions. Finding your page has been a blessing for me!
Love this, but hate sewing in ends so reckon I'd use 2 balls of white to carry yarn up the sides then I'd only haved coloured ends to sew in!!😉👍😆 Blessings from South Australia.💕🐨
I wonder if you put a U.S single stitch as the middle stitch if it would give you the heart shape? Not sure how that might interfer with the pattern though... any ideas?
Danielle Bricker I am presently working on a project. I think a US slip stitch/single stitch might work. However I am also thinking that I might try a multi color yarn as she did which is probably why it appears to be a heart. I'll post a picture here if I'm able.
This by far looks like the easiest fan stitch I've seen. I recently tried one but ended up giving up on it. I was only doing a swatch but it was really confusing to me. I felt like pulling my hair out at times, lol. But Lord willing I'm going to try this tomorrow evening. I might even say, away with a swatch I'm going to crochet the entire blanket 😂. Tyfs God bless you
Love your tutorials. Thank you for explaining everything so well and to have the camera well focus for us to see exactly where you insert the crochet hook. The colors you used for this and other projects are beautiful!! BTW, I’m one of your subscribers 🌸
I’ve just got to the end and left with 2 chains, instead of 3 so I’ll have to pull out and start again, the chains did get a bit fuzzy in the middle though as I’ve only been crocheting a few weeks I’m struggling a bit with tension. I love your tutorials Rebecca I’ve learned so much from them, thank you so much for sharing
Wait! Don’t pull it out, you can use this tutorial to add on a couple of stitches to your foundation row! ua-cam.com/video/k_ieKivSk70/v-deo.html I hope I am not too late!
You’ve done a really nice tutorial on this lovely stitch.. It’s my favorite.. My daughter still has the little blanket I crocheted for her newborns... The oldest of four sons is now 19.. 💕
Hi Rebekah!..I look forward to all your videos...your blankets and stitches..color choices are always so beautiful. I’m thinking I might do my shell blanket in palest lavender, white and misty heathery green...can’t do anything eight now as wrists are messed up from too much hooking..De Quervain’s ..very painful...how do you avoid getting such things?...
Thank you soo much...you taught me very well...small question...does 200 gms of acrylic yarn is enough for this pattern baby blanket???...i am planning to buy yarn😊
Really lovely. The color choices are beautiful. If you didn't want to cut at every color change do you think it would be ok to just drop the color and travel it up on the next round?? If you're going to put a border I wouold think it would work, but I'm fairly new to crochet so I'm just wondering.
Am catching up with some videos not seen yet, and this is a great one. I've got some cream and mustard aran yarns, and am going to use these two colours and this pattern for a blanket. Thanks Rebekah - your videos have helped me so much on my crochet journey since last year and I am re-inspired. Best Wishes and looking forward to seeing your website! Nicola
Hello Rebecca,. I love this easy shell pattern, it's perfect for a beginner like me! 😀 I just wondered how you would straighten the top when finished due to the dip inbetween the shells? I would like to add a border you see, any advice would be much appreciated. I am a new subscriber to your channel and your tutorials are brilliant! Thank you! 😀
Hallo ich sehe deine Videos wahnsinnig gerne du erklärst das so super obwohl ich kein englisch kann ist sehr gut zum mithäkeln vielen lieben dank dafür liebe grüße chrissy
Did you color pool for this? I ask because the individual colors seem to be maintained in each row, rather than changing mid-row. The effect is beautiful!
Hi, I've bought 5 different colours of yarn and one ball of white; I don't think 1 white ball would be enough - each ball is 50 grms. Can you please tell me how many more white balls of yarn would I need. I'm so excited to start this project. Thanks in advance for your reply. Also can you please tell how big is the blanket, eg. width x length pleeeeez. Thanks. God Bless
Umm so how do you finish? Like the humps are at the top of the blanket. I'd like to put a boarder on the blanket. And the bottom is straight but the top looks unfinished. Hope my question makes sense.
Hi wonder if anyone can help - I am doing quite a large shell blanket 60/120cm and I have around 20cm still to do - when I fold the blanket in half top to bottom one side is slightly larger in one section for about 10 rows - the stitches look correct so whether I lost my tension for a little while not sure - I am fairly new to crochet and this is my first blanket - it is a gift for a friend and I am so disappointed that it isn’t even - can anyone help - if blocking is the answer I don’t have a surface big enough- I don’t want to pull it back as I would be pulling back around 30cm of work - is there anything else I can do?
Thank you for the beautiful pattern. I went to Black Sheep Wools but they didn't have the color you used. Do you know who else might carry the Sundown color?
Hi - I put a shell border on my finished piece. I have a tutorial for that in my border series which you can find here: ua-cam.com/play/PLqlBWJOmTEX1ESk4wwLFq45CPctOKj6wR.html
Hi I am fairly new to crochet and this will be my first blanket - what size of hook do you use - also would you block this afterwards - if yes do you have a tutorial on blocking? - thanks for your reply - can’t wait to start this it looks lovely planning to do the whole thing in the variegated yarn
Hi there Sandra, for my chosen yarn, a 4mm hook was recommended... But you can use any yarn that you like and the hook that it recommends. I didn't need to block, it should come out straight and flat :)
Blossom Crochet Hi thanks for your quick reply much appreciated - is the coloured yarn you used suitable for a new baby - i was just concerned it wouldn’t be soft enough
Blossom Crochet Crochet, BTW, I recently made a baby blanket using your cluster stitch and OMG was it beautiful. I'm excited to start your stunning crochet shell stitch.

how mnay rolls did you need to make your item?
Thank you so much for clear and easy to follow instructions. I've wanted to do this stitch for so long but thought it was too complicated for me. Having mislaid my 5mm hook I'm doing it with a 6mm, but I'm doing it! And it's so easy!!

This is a beautiful pattern and I love your color choices. Putting the white between the color rows really makes the shells pop out. Great video.
So pretty! I love it! Thank you for sharing it with us!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LOVE OF CROCHETING.THIS TUTORIAL WAS. FAN TASTIC! I SUBSCRIBED !
really wish I could add a photo of my work. Love this stitch. Using two strands of yarn and a 6mm hook to make a gorgeous lap rug.
That sounds great! 🌸
What a lovely affect it looks wonderful. Thanks for showing us all how its done.
Just adore the way you guide, so precise and clear. God bless

Awesome...pattern..i intend to get varigated yarn to do this project. Thankyou for this tuitorial
I love how the shells almost look like hearts with the center stitch. So pretty and I love the colors with white.
DeAnna Renno I thought so too! Sure has a new spin on the shell stitch!
I wonder if you put a U.S single stitch as the middle stitch if it would give you the heart shape? Not sure how that might interfer with the pattern though... any ideas?

I thought it was a heart from the thumbnail. LOL! Now, I'm off to find that Heart pattern stitch blanket.
my yarn is ready to jump in and become this type of blanket.
I am about to attempt this, using black instead of white, for a adult-sized Afghan for my best friend. I really love your videos. Thank you so much!
Kind of a old newbie here, how many chains are you using for yours. I want to do one for my granddaughter.
This by far looks like the easiest fan stitch I've seen. I recently tried one but ended up giving up on it. I was only doing a swatch but it was really confusing to me. I am using this pattern now for a vintage 8-shape shoulder wrap. I am using all variegated yarn, but adding the white yarn is a stunning combination.
Very pretty !
Thank you for teaching me
Happy crocheting 🧶
Love your tutorials. Thank you for explaining everything so well and to have the camera well focus for us to see exactly where you insert the crochet hook. The colors you used for this and other projects are beautiful!! BTW, I’m one of your subscribers 🌸
That looks beautiful with the contrasting colour in the Hayfield Spirit! Thank you for another great tutorial.
This is gorgeous! Thanks, Stella

Good teaching,,,,,,,,,,,,very nice, easy and simple, you choose beautiful colors. Thank you for sharing👌💁
Very easily explained . Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for your tutorial, very well explained x
Me encanto !! Muy bien explicado y con mucha paciencia y detallado👌👏 Gracias !!!! 💝🙋
Lovely! If you don't want a fringe at the ends, do you just weave in the strands at the end of the rows?
Really lovely. The color choices are beautiful. If you didn't want to cut at every color change do you think it would be ok to just drop the color and travel it up on the next round?? If you're going to put a border I wouold think it would work, but I'm fairly new to crochet so I'm just wondering.
I was also wondering about carrying the yarn up the side. I would love a video on how to do this.
Very pretty..I now know what to make with my variegated yarn..tganks
I really do love the look you are creating.. It’s so pretty..
Thank you very much for the great tutorial as usual it is a very beautiful blanket I will try it. Thnk you again
Oh the gorgeous yarn!!! Love it 😊
I'm definitely making this into a blanket!
Do you weave all your ends in or cut them as they are knotted? X
That was great! Thanks beautiful colors!
I really like this and would like to know how much yarn was used per color.. Thank you...
What type of border would one use? How do you work in the loose ends? Thank you for sharing! Lovely blanket. Mine is pink and green.
Nancy Sweeney I think a white ruffle would look good for this. I’d do one row of SCs around and then 2 DCs in each stitch around.
Am catching up with some videos not seen yet, and this is a great one. I've got some cream and mustard aran yarns, and am going to use these two colours and this pattern for a blanket. Thanks for this pattern dear mam I totally understood thanks once again

So easy to follow. What sort of border would you do on this please?
I am currently making this lovely blanket and also wondering what border to do.

Beautiful craft 👌
Thanks for sharing and it is very pretty
Woow so cute! Thank you so much for this video! Greetingd from Serbia 😚😍
How many skeins of yarn have you used so far for this blanket? How many yards are in each skein? Also, what weight is the yarn? Thanks so much.

thankyou so much beautiful work
Gorgeous 💜
How much yarn should be purchased to make a scarf?
Thank you for the beautiful pattern. I went to Black Sheep Wools but they didn't have the color you used. Do you know who else might carry the Sundown color?
Oh no, sold out already?! Knew it would be popular. I’ll look and see if I can find anywhere else 😊
nancy hildebrand - I’ve just bought mine from eBay - a bit more expensive but at least they seemed to have plenty
is there a way of doing this so that you don't have to sew in all the ends at the end?
👍
Can you tell me how many chains in foundation chain..?
What sort of edging would u do on it or would it be best to leave it as is when it's done?
Hi - I put a shell border on my finished piece. I have a tutorial for that in my border series which you can find here: ua-cam.com/play/PLqlBWJOmTEX1ESk4wwLFq45CPctOKj6wR.html
Good teaching very nice 👌👌♥♥♥♥♥♥
Lindísimo!!!!!!!
😍😍😍😍
Hi just wondering what border did you finish with??
Hi Melissa! I haven’t actually gotten around to finishing this blanket yet, but when I do, I’ll let you know 😊
Just rewound the video and realised you used a 4mm hook - sorry must have missed this the first time
Thank you!!!!!
I am 9 I made a blikit 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Sophia Girod I assume you meant blanket. Good for you. Wish there were a way to post pictures here. I would love to see it. 👍
I can't post pitcher I don't know how
Ok lies
So you only used one of each colour x
what do u do with the ends u knotted?
👍👏
Hi I am fairly new to crochet and this will be my first blanket - what size of hook do you use - also would you block this afterwards - if yes do you have a tutorial on blocking? - thanks for your reply - can’t wait to start this it looks lovely planning to do the whole thing in the variegated yarn

Blossom Crochet Hi thanks for your quick reply much appreciated - is the coloured yarn you used suitable for a new baby - i was just concerned it wouldn’t be soft enough
Hello what is meant by chain space
How much yarn did you use for this blanket? Thank you for sharing it!
Would love to know this also
I haven’t yet finished, but I’m estimating that I’ll use 2 balls of each (the white and colour) to complete the baby size blanket and a nice border 😊
Thank you!
Where are your patterns located?
May Allah bless you
Is there a written pattern for this
Oops, I forgot to ask, which border will you use?
I’m not sure yet, I might use one that I’ve not before 😊 and if I do, I will do a tutorial for it too.
Blossom Crochet I'm looking forward to it. Thanks in advance. 😊
Blossom Crochet Crochet, BTW, I recently made a baby blanket using your cluster stitch and OMG was it beautiful. I'm excited to start your stunning crochet shell stitch.
sooo many ends..any tricks?
That looks like a single crochet to start a new row ???? You said it was a double ?????🤔
I’m using U.K. terminology 👍🏻 In the US (and some other countries) it’s a Single.
I can’t crochet rainbow colors anymore.
