I love this, and the colors you used in your sample! I love the spike stitched border, but I’d like to do an enclosed order so I don’t have to sew in ends. Do you think that spike stitch would work with an enclosed border? Well done, Karen!!

This will be a perfect way to use the Spring Garden pack that I ordered from you. I’ll just do the base chain until I think it’s wide enough, and 4mm hook. Then again, I do have a stash of Stone-washed…. I’d love to get some of this Aran yarn but I really need to use some of the yarn that I already have.
And whaddya know but the Spring Garden pack just arrived. Great service from Dirk and reasonable shipping cost. I love the saturated colours, so different from my Jewels of the Nile yarn pack.

I love this pattern and I have the perfect yarns for it! I'll be using Swish Worsted from Knitpicks. I've been sitting on at least 15 different colors and this is perfect! I added 16 chains to the recommended 145 but mine is not even close to 40" wide. It'll still make a nice throw. Thanks Anja and Karen.

Hello Anja a slightly silly question! If I were to make a single carnaval blanket (like your CAL ones) would the 15 balls cover it?! I know with stylcraft DK 15 balls makes a nice single blanket with plenty yarn left over. I havnt used Aran before.
