Liam completely forgot to mention something about the Wizard of New Zealand. I’m pretty sure part of the reason he was fired was due to this quote by The Wizard himself, “I love women, I forgive them all the time, I’ve never struck one yet. Never strike a woman because they bruise too easily is the first thing, and they’ll tell the [neighbors] and their friends… and then you’re in big trouble,”
6:20 its so good to know other people do this. I am a trans woman and jfc its like the only thing on my mind now is "are they staring because theyre confused, theyre planning my murder, or they think im hot??? Its nice to know even a (handsome) cishet white dude in a room like Liam has similar feelings XD
So Murphy is a happy-go-lucky doggo who loves to meet new people, and Liam is cat who wants to be able to disappear to not interact with people. I would read the hell out of a little adventure manga of that.
I feel like invisibility would make social anxiety worse because you'd now run into the issue of a person looking in your general direction and you THINK that they are looking at you, which just adds another layer to the train of thought. "Did they look at me? Or did I just imagine it? Maybe I'm just paranoid. But what if they did? Can they see me? Is my invisibility not working? What if it is and they can still see me? Who are they? What do they want from me?..."
The magic system conversation reminded me of that interesting time in the late 90s where every fantasy game was actually a sci-fi. Like might and magic where spaceships existed and demons are actually aliens and angels are just using futuristic tech. But it still presents itself as a fantasy if you don't read into it.
The Mud Wizard was at the protests in Lützerath, Germany :) Basically, THE biggest coal company RWE bought up a lot of land to destroy and along with it some villages. Lützerath was the last one and was occupied by protesters for weeks (or months even, idk). In the end, approx. 30,000 people came to protest, mostly peacefully, and all of them were carried off by the police. Even Greta Thunberg, who was also there. So yeah. The Mud Wizard tried his best, but even he is powerless against the powers of capitalism.
I am actually from the place in the Netherlands where jeronimus Bosch ( the guy from the painting) came from and if you think this is a weird painting, you must see his other works as well. It's all about sinning and the devil and good vs bad heaven vs hell that sorta deal. But he makes very detailed and weird stuff. My city is actually filled with statues of his weird characters. Kinda scary...
Gandalf the White would wreck Dumbledore. One he is a minor God of his world turned flesh. His defensive magic is more broad and doesn't require incantation. Then, there is his ability to clap cheeks in glorious melee combat.
I gotta agree. Dumbledore shows some impressive AP in movies. But Gandalf built different. Like you said, he's like a minor god. Balrog learned not to test Gandalf the Grey, let alone Gandalf the White
When you guys started on Colours I thought you were going to discuss the Colour of Magic which had a hard magic system in splitting quarks to make their magic and the plane they dumped their "leftovers" basically became our Universe(oversimplification, I know)
Liam, I know exactly what you mean at 6:18 It's acutally really nice to know that someone with so much confidence and charisma as you shares this weird braindefect with me :)
I have taken colory theory class, printing, and photography as well as years of working in the industry. I never seen anyone react the way Merphy reacted to that question. Home run, Liam!
It’s Australian. Not being glib there, Australians I have known have this unique brand of humor that is shades of quippy word play like British humor but with way more self deprecation and cynicism. It’s just about my favorite thing.
I like it when magic uses unnecessary absolutes. Like, Dumbledore's magic wand makes him unbeatable in a fair duel. This means that he'd be able to beat Kaido 1 on 1.
It's also funny because it implies he does have the capability to be beaten in an "unfair duel", even one in his favor, so he could technically gang up on a poor bloke with all of the other teachers, trip on a rock and die because the duel was unfair
@@wraith.ferronfinding that out ruined my life. I always had thought that Gandalf and them were just a bunch of old dudes in like a magical boys club who just ponder orbs all day and stuff but then finding out they're essentially angels had me feeling betrayed
@Mooinator3000 it made sense, though. They live far longer than any human should (Gandalf was already old in the Hobbit, with LotR starting 60 years later, and Frodo then not leaving the Shire for another 17 years), and there's no way to learn to be a wizard, otherwise people would be training for it. We had all the hints, but didn't put it together.
Next time i am in a locker room i will imagine a Sanji type invisible perv being there and i will try to always have flattering angles towards them. Thx Liam and Merphy 👍
Hey liam, as someone with autism, rhw way you describe interactions sounds like something we call masking, which makes social interactions extremely draining. The solution most autistic people take is just to be ourselces even if people judge us, cause otherwise its just too much.
I used to have the same thought about Color! come to find out its 150% true. Women see more color due to rod or cones i forget and some people see colors richer or duller and then color blind spectrum ppl will blow your mind with what they actually dont see
17:47.. Gandalf, unlike Dumbledor, is basicly an angel, empowered by halfgods. my bet is on gandalf :D 18:57.. i'm not sure if harry has to go to a therapist because he was shaken by dumbledor.. maybe more, because dumbledor basicly used him as a tool to get rid of his biggest failure - voldemord. so basicly the books are about an old, strong wizard using a child as a shield+tool to kill the only other wizard that poses a threat to him while ruling in his "school" with whatever whimsical rule he likes at any given moment :D dumbledor is a bad guy, but since we watch it through the stockholm-syndrome eyes of harry, it's fine
I was just listening to a podcast that was talking about gen x ppl thinking any and everything is their fault. It makes me think that some of that rubbed off on millennials hearing Liam's introvert thoughts on eye contact. I don't have it w 👁️, more with chit chat. I overthink any verbal exchange similar to Liam.
That's the answer everyone gives who doesn't want to give the real answer on why they want to be invisible. I don't want to perv as much as I want to not have to worry about money and just steal everything. Yes I'm a terrible person
as a magician i can say the cups and balls was not and is not by any means connected to 3 card monte or any scams edit: i have been doing magic since 2014, Liam or merphy if you have any questions i would be delighted to give some insight on the world of magicians :)
I thought men and women were accused at the Salem witch trials with one particularly interesting one being Giles Corey who they repeatedly stacked stones on top of until he confessed. He never did.
I am the new official Water Bending Executioner Wizard of New Zealand. Someone notify New Zealand
@@writer9197 I'll be the Dragon Queen too. I'll just take all the titles
Multi-talented, super impressive!
Asking Liam to twerk day 63
I'll notify the press

This has to be my favourite series on the channel. The dude and friends in separate rooms series.
It is really funny and entertaining I agree
There's enough of these that you could pretty much just combine all these Merphy and Liam collabs into one Blue Banana podcast style video.
They should have her as a guest on one episode. They did talk about the possibilities of guests at one point in the earlier times
Wow, I didn't expect more videos with Merphy this quick, but it is exactly what I need.
Our queen 👑
Well said
I'm really here for her. She's very charming
I'm always floored at how deep into the One Piece UA-cam community Merphy has fallen into
One of us plus Ultra
I like your funny words magic man.

Lolol
What a queen!! Love her, keep bringing her over.. great video
Liam saying “Naur” is the most Australian I’ve ever heard him be😂
The real magic is how Liam can eat Weetbix and fruits, with vegemite, WITHOUT milk or yoghurt and still maintain that chill Dude voice

I love pen and teller as magicians, they really allow you to take a peek into the trick but not reveal all of it.

What a beautiful conversation. Absolutely thoroughly entertaining!
Your conversations are precious and I am so glad you decide to share them
This has such an Internet Historian Incognito Mode vibe and I'm loving it. Please continue making it.
The coolest magic attack will always be FIREBALL. I love throwing large balls of fire at my adverseries.
Strong choice 🔥
Liam please start a podcast with Merphy, you guys have such great chemistry!
Best duo on youtube and it's not even close. Need you guys back on the main channel more for One Piece content!
Lol
Llam this was amazing and hilarious thank you for this! You and merphy are completely funny and entertaining!
Good to see the complying wench back on the channel :)
merphy should be the 4th member of the blue banana podcast, her energy matches you guys lol
totally agree
I agree.
Merphy: "Do you wanna perv like Sanji??"
Liam: "I... just wanna stay home and make One Piece content."
I love yall chemistry

I love these videos they really get a chuckle outta me
I simply love these videos :D so fun to watch and listen to.
The Merphy + Liam videos are phenomenal
Keep them up!
I heard from Distractable it was for some comments about slapping women.
The funny wizard and witch are casting some very funny words and I like it.
10:07 “What purpose does he serve,” is my new favorite question and I will be asking this of everyone I meet 😂
These days it's actually referred to as 'erect magic' and 'flaccid magic' systems.
I would also like invisibility, i want to get inside random places just to explore, maybe gov buildings or cute houses an yes maybe steal some stuff
You guys have great banter I love these videos lol
Ok I'm 34 and this is so hilarious I actually had to show it to my mother. Well done to the both of you. 😂

I love these Crossovers
i relate heavily to Liams color questions
This is really fun to watch :D
MTG has never been my thing way more of a Yugioh guy, but the way yall bounce off each other is always fun
Liam and merphy collab should become a consistent content
Hell, make it it's own thing, i watch these more than the blue banana podcast
Wasn’t expecting a Dude in RoomxMurphy today
You know she was having a genuine good time when she almost fall of her chair 😂

The Crucible is fun play about Salem Witch Trials. I think there might be allusion in it too I read
I have taken colory theory class, printing, and photography as well as years of working in the industry. I never seen anyone react the way Merphy reacted to that question. Home run, Liam!
Been wondering for a while. What kind of humour does Liam use? It's funny and I want more
It’s Australian. Not being glib there, Australians I have known have this unique brand of humor that is shades of quippy word play like British humor but with way more self deprecation and cynicism.
It’s just about my favorite thing.

The issue is that Gandalf isn't human. He's a Maiar. He's effectively a demi-god. Fighting him isn't inherently fair.

Liam, I have been asking that question about color for my entire life. Put me into multiple existential crises
The guy in the thumbnail is a book-accurate Tyrion, aged 75.
We need Merphy on the Blue Banana podcast for an episode, she'll be a perfect 4th banana
Video editor killed it on this one!
As a scientist I apologise for my contributions to ruining magic.
Next time i am in a locker room i will imagine a Sanji type invisible perv being there and i will try to always have flattering angles towards them. Thx Liam and Merphy 👍
Merphy is taking over this channel
Dude id want Photokinesis (light powers)
Id be able to make my self invisible by reflecting light of me and id have lasers
I can't believe Guy in a Cubicle likes playing Magic the Gathering
Hey liam, as someone with autism, rhw way you describe interactions sounds like something we call masking, which makes social interactions extremely draining. The solution most autistic people take is just to be ourselces even if people judge us, cause otherwise its just too much.
Merphy talking to this dude is always immensely entertaining.
Totally called him "dude" because of the channel title, and not because I couldn't remember Liam's name for the life of me.
Liam can move very slow so he disappears like Daxx.
I used to have the same thought about Color! come to find out its 150% true. Women see more color due to rod or cones i forget and some people see colors richer or duller and then color blind spectrum ppl will blow your mind with what they actually dont see
Gandalf is technically a demigod or angel or something in Tolkien lore... So good luck Dumbledore.
Top tier thumbnail btw 😂
💯
Without love, it cannot be seen
Murphy must be a guest on Blue Banana fr
She is adorable
"DON'T YOU NAY ME SIR!" - lol I died.
This is the best Dou in youtube history.
You two are hilarious
16:40 They'd put him away like he was Magneto...
Edit: Merlin was the OG Gandalf.
17:47.. Gandalf, unlike Dumbledor, is basicly an angel, empowered by halfgods. my bet is on gandalf :D

WHERE DO I GET THIS SHIRT????
Just so much chemestry in this video
Nerd rizz activated in Liam
Liam: describes the reason for the frog in the mouth
Merphy: no.
Gandalf would be perfect as a tour guide for dark caves and caverns and the like

i too wish to see something from the illusion tree
I feel like i am watching a conversation in & out of context
Gandalf is also Basically an AcrhAngel in a Mortal Body.
But if you were to be invisible, you would be blind since there is no receptor area, light could be absorbed on, so its a really meh choice
hard magic is now science that needs to be short.
I love merphy
Ok now i think i want Merphy to Chrck out Black Clover.
Invisibility is horrible for introverted people i f anyone looks around i would go crazy thinking that maybe they saw me
PLEASE DO THE HOT CHIP CHALLENGE LIAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would want to make clones of myself, to be honest, instead of being able to be invisible or fly no cap
MERPHY!!!!!!
