- "Live from the Los Angeles Basin....it's Fridays!" Oh yes I remember that well. I can honestly and proudly say that I saw this show back when the guys appeared on it and it was great, were you one of the lucky ones to see the guys on this show back in the day? The guys are in great form and Steve is just as beautiful as always! Look closely you may even see Sherrie in the audience. This is from my own collection and I hope you enjoy it! Can't imagine seeing goddamn JOURNEY in a room this small. The Vocal and Guitar Gods feet away, sounding other worldly. None of them especially Perry held back on this one, sounds as good as Captured.
This classic Journey. Of course Steve is so charismatic. Most of the girls in the audience are going crazy except for the girl in the front row. Don’t know what her problem is. He not only has the best voice but his hair is to die for.

This is when Journey ruled the road and was one of the absolute best Rock n Roll Bands on the Road!! Liked Gregg Rollie contribution to Journey at this time and him sharing vocal performances with Mr Steve Perry. Journeys best live shows were from 1979- 1983. That was their heyday!!
Those were the years U saw w every one of their concerts!!! Must admit when Steve Perry stopped being in Journey I stopped seeing them. I am so pleased Steve's made a couple new albums!!! LOVE THEM! Even the Christmas one!

These are really terrific live versions of both Where Were You and Walks Like A Lady and I love Steve's interaction with the audience...I would have lost my mind if I'd been in that front row!

2020 in Cleveland Ohio a million miles away from him. Forever and always his fan. Whaching Steve in his prime. When he was so angelic oh my God. I agree. This lineup was so pure. I adore Jonathan and others but this was PURE JOURNEY, they went a bit ‘pop Journey’ after….still loved it, but different. These older songs are my favorites.

Thank You UA-cam for helping me to always remember where I come from. Wow, Steve is 70 years young today and still singing his heart out after all these years. I'm 49 and these guys today like Hagar and Perry keep me feeling Rockin young again. AND FRIDAY's, I LOVED THAT SHOW. I believe I was 11 at that time. It was cool that I was old enough to understand and enjoy the hilarious adult humor. Best live classic performances by bands like Journey and The Cars.

I remeber Fridays, I recall it was on during the summer of 1980. I saw Wendy O'Williams of the Plasmatics set a Lincoln on fire. I saw The B 52's on there to. Journey rocked the shit out of that audience. This was pre- Escape. I loved the chemistry between Rollie and Perry. I never saw this episode, wish I had! I did see them twice on The Midnight special though.

Wow, you know that was some great rare footage. You must have been very important and talented yourself to get such great video. And Steve is singing live, not some lip sync nonsense that you see from a lot of video's where the singer is singing for five to six seconds after the mic has left their face. This was real singing from a great rock 'n roll vocalist. It is no wonder Steve Perry was chosen to sing on We Are The World as a soloist. I saw this show too when it was aired. I remember waiting in anticipation...had to see Journey! They were probably my favorite band at the time. They messed up at the end of the show calling them "the journey" and neil and steve corrected her. Lol

I have never heard of this show , but Journey Hell yes lol ! I wasnt allowed to listen to rock when this came out, a bit to young my mom said. He is way way too damn for his own good. I hope he has found love. He deserves it.........
