- Full unboxing, assembly and review of the Worx wg855e as well as a dethatch and verticut of my front lawn.
filming was done over a 2 day period to ensure the process was completed correctly and the ground was as dry as possible too.
Unfortunately, typical British weather meant that it went from sunny one minute to full on monsoon like rain which unfortunately stifled filming for a day.
2 full sets of 20v powershare 4ah pro batteries were used but it didn't fully deplete them at any time just run them down circa 20% remining.
I'm super impressed by yet another top of the line product from worx showcasing innovation and practical design to produce a real ground breaking product with that typical 'worx touch' of excellence function and beauty too.

Top notch review Mike, keep up the great work!
Many thanks, hopefully future videos won't be so long but unfortunately this was a unboxing, assembly video and a dual function full review too :-D lots of editing to try and keep time down.
What an amazing tool.
Amazing and oh so very powerful too!
What was the run time? How long to recharge? I have a large lawn and don't want to stop every 15 mins. for a long recharge.
@normatither3023 it
Runs for about 20 minutes though run time really depends on how thick your thatch is and how deep you are scarifying along with how fast you are walking too. Realistically there are too many variables to give you a honest answer, last year I spent two sets of 4ah to rip a 40²m area of my grass I mean moss there was no grass, I had to hit that real hard and slow and grab out 10 buckets of moss out, left it over winter and by spring had one of the best patches of lush grass I ever had, verticutting is harshest of all though and can see as low as 10 minute run times, but that is verticutting not scarifying or raking.
Can this fold up small if you wanted to put it in the boot of a car for example?
Yes it folds faitlrly compactly, certainly small enough to fit in a car, I do think there was scope to make it even more compact if they wanted to / there might be a more obvious way to make it smaller I just have not found it yet.
So much easier.
It's like your in my mind, I've been looking for a decent scarifier for the last couple of years, certainly adds another one to be considered to the mix.
I waited 2 years since rumours started circulating about this, pure game changing piece of garden machinery! Mains equivalents of these are 1500 watt! And considering what it is doing its quite frugal with the batteries - I certainly thought so anyway! Having used the wg749 with a oregon scarifying mower blade :-) that drained the batteries in about 3 minutes!! I wasn't expecting much more but it would appear it can do about 100²m on a single charge using standard 4ah batteries, can't wait for the 8ah batteries to land :-) will hopefully be the answer to everyone's prayers regarding run time!
@@mikesptworld I was going to ask about “range“ as I've about 4 or 5 times the area that you did. But it certainly seams like it has enough juice, as it were.
@@Bite_Me "range" is a very hard question to answer factually, it depends on so many varying factors! how matted your thatch is, how hard your soil is, if you are using the verticut or rake function - what setting you have it on, how fast you walk, how sympathetic are you with the collector box.... all these points matter hugely in answering your question, i would say as a figure about 10 collection bags worth per charge...… that accounts for the take two paces and the bag is full heavy thatched areas, and the easy going well kempt lawn that this is a regular part of maintenance of rather than a once a year treat!
with sandals??? really???? etf
and why this awful music? i want to hear how the machine work(x)s
