I am a super responder to the medication, and never had to titrate up from the initial dose 0.25 , no symptoms except a couple episodes of insomnia which I took ashwagandha and never looked back. I went from size 12 currently small n xs or numerical size 4.
First of all, I can’t believe you are 60 - you give me hope for the next decade! Secondly what does it do? Does it just decrease your appetite or help you metabolize better or?
@@sierralovesdogs thanks for that you are now my new best friend!! GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar and appetite. It stimulates insulin release and reduces glucagon secretion when blood sugar levels are high, lowering blood glucose. It also slows gastric emptying, making you feel full longer, and acts on the brain to reduce hunger. GLP-1 receptor agonists mimic this hormone, providing these benefits for diabetes management and weight loss. ~ Chat Gpt A fricken miracle that has changed my life, and eliminated so many other issues I was having and increased happiness 1000% ~me
Hello Lisa, congratulations on your weight loss and thanks for sharing. My story is so similar to your wl journey. In 2024 I hit 192lbs also since 2018 I was trying to lose weight, I would hoover around the mid to high 180’s . I did all the traditional things calorie deficit, 10k steps per day etc to get to 188.4. Finally I accepted that I needed help and decided to jump on the compound Tirzepatide, I did great I lost 30lbs in 5 wks however, I had to stop the medication as I was having episodes of hypoglycemia(low glucose) passing out. I maintained my weight no gains no loss through October on the 16th of October received my meds and have lost another 21lbs, the weight lost is slow now that I have less fat on my body but for once I feel hopeful that I will lose the additional 18lbs and began The next phase which 😢is cosmetic I have no breast volume left n serious batwings. I am curious will you continue on tirzepatide as a life long tool for maintenance? Btw I love your intro and your presentation, that fact that you stand up with presenting the items and transfer them to racks is nice, I hope you get a sponsor soon.
@@M.Rae2 congrats on recovering from health challenges and pursuing your health journey and thanks for sharing here! I’m on 2.5 mg for maintenance mostly because studies show there may be other benefits like helping reduce the severity of impending Alzheimer’s and other things. I’m working hard now to rebuild muscle to help my metabolism. I experimented with micro dosing and mostly the food noise was gone..so not sure what dosage the future holds.
