    I've been chilling my usual yogurt and it has been so good. Use a quality yogurt (organic milk, cultures/enzymes) and add a sprinkle of cinnamon, Maple Syrup or Honey to taste and a spash of vanilla extract. I stir that up and freeze it for 20-30 minutes when the edges start to become solid, then mix it up and enjoy.

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm working my way thru a Lamb Harvest series right now, and then I'm sure there will be some cozy winter recipes on the menu! Like my favorite egg nog 🥛😋

    Perfect timing! I've been looking to make my own A2 ice cream since my family doesn't do well with the store bought ice creams.

      Perfect! When we were on GAPS the cultured cream ice cream was so amazing, now we do fine with the regular cream but a2a2 and cultured are such great options to help with digestibility! Hope you all enjoy!

    Thanks for this recipe. Ice cream is my desert go-to but being keto is difficult to find good “healthy” ice cream. I love making things myself to control nutrition.

    Looks delicious as it's healthful.
    But the recipe you give on your website is incomplete.
    What quantity of cream did you use? No quantities are given for the ingredients!
    Would really appreciate your correcting the recipe with quantities for all ingredients.

      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +2

      Just updated it and hope it is clearer now! There were quantities but it was listed further down the post... I can see how it wasn't the easiest to follow so it is updated now!

    Checked your recipe on your website. Doesn't give quantities!
    Could you please give quantities etc, like a regular recipe?

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +1

      I just double checked and see what you mean, there were quantities, but they were farther down the post, and it wasn't the clearest, I just updated it and hope that it is very straight forward now! www.apinchofpatience.com/recipes/nourishing-ice-cream

    Thanx for the recipe. How much honey would you suggest per cup of cream? For sweet tooth's. 😁

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +5

      I didn't give specific quantities because it is very much up to personal tastes. For me, when I add sweetener, I usually do 1 (maybe up to 2) Tablespoons of honey or maple syrup per cup of cream and that is plenty for my families tastes. We usually leave sweetener out and just add some sweet fruit toppings, but we do love making a chocolaty flavor by adding a little carob powder and maple syrup... that is a hit with the whole family!

    I think i might be making butter…😕
    I mixed and mixed and mixed and never got peaks…it just got watery and weird cream separating… what am I doing wrong?

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +3

      Oh no, yes, that sounds like butter. Just whip until it's thick, and you can see that it's holding it's shape like wiped cream and then freeze it. Butter is still awesome. Keep mixing to make the most of the oopsie batch! Is it really hot in your kitchen? That can make it hard to get wiped cream to set up. You could try chilling your bowl and whisk ahead of time next batch and see if that helps!

      @greysuit17 4 місяці тому +3

      Yes it’s very hot and humid…I did a little research and realized my mistake. Next time I’ll whip just a little at a time and freeze the bowl way longer than I did before mixing.

    With Dengue fever being talked about ,do you have a DIY mosquito repellent

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +3

      Honestly, I feel like I've tried every natural mosquito repellent out there, both commercial and diy, and none of them have worked that well. If I do find one that's awesome I'll absolutely share it! For now if I have to go out in my garden in the evening and early morning hours, it's jeans and a hoodie for me even tho it's hot! 😅

    What if you put in the eggs, whites and all?

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  4 місяці тому +3

      Whole eggs will make your ice cream more watery. The yolks are where it's at for this recipe!

    Does the raw egg yolks taste eggie

    • @apinchofpatience
      @apinchofpatience  9 днів тому

      I don't think so personally. If you are iffy on the egg taste, just do only 2 or 3 to start and experiment with what you like.
