- This caller was sacked as a civil servant after he spoke to James O'Brien about government corruption back in July. He says he has no regrets, but the Nadhim Zahawi tax scandal proves "nothing has changed" since then.
This video clip is from a LBC show presented by James O'Brien on January 23rd 2023.

And the worst of it is, he was just trying to do his job. He wasn't trying to be heroic. He was trying to follow proper procedure and he's been martyred for it.

The point is, he was driven to it because the proper procedures weren't being followed. The rules regarding honesty and integrity were being broken. He did what he could and nothing changed, that's why he was driven to call radio and write such letters.

Hero. I hope an honourable person will be happy to offer this man a job.
This man shows what true service to the public and patriotism is - willing to risk his livelihood to take a stand. Solidarity!
this is not just in the civil service but in workplaces up and down the country, there is no democracy in the work place despite "HR departments" (Human Resources, a contradiction in terms) This call is an example of just how hard it is to whistle blow, yes there are occasional stories of due process being followed and whistle blowers being listened to and said information acted on but these instances are far and few between relative to the amount of corruption and malpractice actually happening. This is a culture that has been there in one form or another since time immemorial. Kudos to the caller for trying to do something 🙏❤
"Arrogant and offensive can you imagine working with these truth twisters" the civil service on the Tories
Or Jobby’s backroom staff on O’Brien.
Why are we leaving people like this to pick up the flack? We need to organise ourselves better, power in numbers. We can't rely on a few civil servants taking down not just a corrupt government, but the whole shoddy establishment
well said
Start a group, mate. Organise on social media. I'm not British or I'd help you. If not you, who? If not now, when?
Thank you Stuart, There are may who feel the same way too. You can always hold your head up high. I wish there were more like you.
This caller is such a patriot I can feel it over here in America.
If only ingenuity, duty, moral and patriotism in it’s truest form was prized!
It is prized, truly and deeply. Just not by this government or the brain - dead wasocks that keep voting for them.
I want him to have his job back. We need people like him. Without him there is no morality in democracy. Without morality there is no democracy. Fight for people like him - or abandon your freedom. We once,as a nation, shut the door on totalitarianism- now, once more, it’s knocking on our door.
Without people holding corrupt politicians accountable through the legal system, there's no democracy
Brave man talking truth is never wrong goodluck to you
Absolutely disgusting. That gentleman should be reinstated and given a grovelling apology!
Over the last few years I have been struggling to succinctly summarise how this government sees the electorate and why they tell laughably obvious lies. James hit the nail on the head: "They have utter contempt for us".
The reason they have their hands in the till, is because no one is prepared to stop them.
@@jumbomills1272 It is not that no one is prepared to stop them, but no one can. How would you propose stopping them? Organisations at the cost of time and expense are taking the Govt to court. The Govt are losing cases and nothing changes. If you have no morals or integrity and there are no penalities why would you stop especially if you are a sociopath or psycopath..
Its a combination of contempt for the public and the almost complete absence of accountability. Because they know they will not be held accountable, largely because they its arbiters, they revert to their true selves, which is callus, self-serving and cruel.
The sad thing is labour is only a bit better, FPTP is disgustingly awful.
YNWA brother
Stuart is such a noble person. I heard this live...and also heard his original call live last July. It gets me emotional that there are still people who are able to see beyond themselves in a scenario.
just heard this today .Feel this dear mans pain what courage. Hope very much he finds a job where he is appreciated for his true public service.
This man is the kind of person we need in government. It is a shocking injustice that he has been sacked.
The thing that really got me about all this Zahawi business was when he said that he had so much money he wasn't sure just how rich he actually is. If that's the case why not just pay your fair share of taxes in the first place. You probably would even realise a difference in your life either way.
Bet the same people that were up in arms when Jimmy Car was caught using "legal" tax avoidance schemes are also making excuses for Nadhim over his "illegal" tax evasion.
If you'll cast back your memory, David Cameron branded Jimmy Carr as "Morally wrong", then the Panama Papers dropped, listing David Cameron's father as a participant and his defence was that that was "A family matter". The Tories have been at this for their full 13 years in power now, and some people still keep saying that putting someone else in charge would be worse for the country.
The richer you are the less tax you pay
