The fact that George studied so so hard for his role only for them to butcher all of his scenes and lines up, is insulting to say the least. He must've been rlly upset about it :(

It's 2018 and I'm still SO angry that they cut so much of George... He had the potential to be one of the greatest R, he knows and loves the character more than anyone and they just... throw him like he was nothing.

Yeah same...George was great but it would have been so much better if they didn't cut out practically every one of R's big moments
He read the book, studied hard on his character and then the director cut him to shreds. You can tell he loved his character, because of that song he sang about “the leader in red”. What a shame. Maybe the uncut version of the film will be released. For those actors who love and study their characters, how long it takes to get them out of their system.
Does anyone watch videos/cuts of les mis and immediately zoom into R? Like i think its starting to be an issue. But real talk it breaks my heart how they ruined R’s characterization after all the hard work Blagden put into it

These three scenes should've not been cut in the movie. They would only add like, not even 5 minutes at most. They are crucial parts in the novel and honestly, I was disappointed that it never showed in the film. (Also Grantaire's character development from a drunken bastard to finally a proud member of the revolution before he died). It's already 2018, 4 years after the movie was released and I'm still not over this.

They shouldn’t have cut Eponine a ghost out of the movie, it fits really well because she just wanted to make Marius happy no matter why’s happened to her so her ghost showing up and seeing what happened to Marius and Cossette would’ve been perfect
I wish there was more Gavroche and Eponine like their brother and sister and the movie doesn’t even address it
Why we couldn’t get the Deleted Scenes on the DVD? I’ll never understand... the Final Battle was supposed to be 15mins long. And Drink With Me, I am still mad at that!!

I was reading the script and I think the film would definitely have been better with george blagden's line 'viva le republique' aswell as if they kept father mabuef, who is actually an important character in the story.

Oh man I wish they had more footage of Les Amis (especially E and R) and of Cosette and Marius' wedding. That would've been nice. Also, if they added the R part of Drink With Me, I feel that it would be good for his character.
I just bought the blu ray and in the directors commentary Tom Hooper says that his first cut was about 4 hours long, I would watch that! I really want that version
the reason why they cut out most dancing parts for Marius' and Cossete's wedding is that Eddie couldn't control his legs and kept messing up the dances so they just stuck with him spinning her around

I almost wonder if that was meant to be at Valjean's Death since in the stage musical she's there rather than the Bishop (not that I dislike this change in the movie; it's more accurate).
I'll never forgive them for cutting so many of Grantaire's scenes.
Blagden deserved more, he barley had like 3 screen minutes, so upsetting.

We need the Director's cut. Sometimes they're better but they could be just as disjointed.

The show will never be complete without Grantaire in Drink with Me. It would be nice if they'd left in the line between Gavroche and Courfeyrac "she was my sister" but it's never even implied in any of the musical versions, only the book and non-musicals.

As someone who's playing Grantaire in my school's production, I'm seriously bothered they cut all of his big moments in the film.
It’s 2021 almost 2022 and I’m still upset that they cut all the best parts out the movie. They didn’t have to cut so much out of George. ;-;

I really wish they would have kept in the scene with Gavroche and Éponine, as no one that was seeing this for the first time even knew that he was her little brother.
Most of these scenes were in the trailer and they were cut out of the movie which is really disappointing. I would've also loved to see more Eponine and Gavroche moments because they are siblings after all
The Eponine’s Ghost wouldn’t make
sense in the 2012 film as Eponine and Valjean’s paths never crossed
It's more for her to comfort Marius really, like Fantine is doing for Cosette

I wish they’d filmed the ending originally called for in the script. Basically, the plan was that the ghosts of all those who died would be marching alongside the Republican rioters (Marius and Cosette included) in the February Revolution of 1848 as everyone sang the finale.
I'm still not over Nº14 and also the fact that tey cut almost one paragraph of Javerts final song too.
