Potato Fish wait to the les amis show up after 80 pages?? please say yes please say yes theyre the only reason why i started reading the book (well mainly ExR but still all the les amis are included)
Grantaire's verse "Long Live the Republic!" Javert staring at Enjolras' body These three scenes should've not been cut in the movie. They would only add like, not even 5 minutes at most. They are crucial parts in the novel and honestly, I was disappointed that it never showed in the film. (Also Grantaire's character development from a drunken bastard to finally a proud member of the revolution before he died). It's already 2018, 4 years after the movie was released and I'm still not over this.
The fact that George studied so so hard for his role only for them to butcher all of his scenes and lines up, is insulting to say the least. He must've been rlly upset about it :(
It's 2018 and I'm still SO angry that they cut so much of George... He had the potential to be one of the greatest R, he knows and loves the character more than anyone and they just... throw him like he was nothing.
Ophélie M. I feel just like you and I hope that our signatures to make the edition of the extended version possible. Thanks for watching and Join our campaing!
He read the book, studied hard on his character and then the director cut him to shreds. You can tell he loved his character, because of that song he sang about “the leader in red”. What a shame. Maybe the uncut version of the film will be released. For those actors who love and study their characters, how long it takes to get them out of their system.
Does anyone watch videos/cuts of les mis and immediately zoom into R? Like i think its starting to be an issue. But real talk it breaks my heart how they ruined R’s characterization after all the hard work Blagden put into it
They shouldn’t have cut Eponine a ghost out of the movie, it fits really well because she just wanted to make Marius happy no matter why’s happened to her so her ghost showing up and seeing what happened to Marius and Cossette would’ve been perfect
I just bought the blu ray and in the directors commentary Tom Hooper says that his first cut was about 4 hours long, I would watch that! I really want that version
I was reading the script and I think the film would definitely have been better with george blagden's line 'viva le republique' aswell as if they kept father mabuef, who is actually an important character in the story.
Oh man I wish they had more footage of Les Amis (especially E and R) and of Cosette and Marius' wedding. That would've been nice. Also, if they added the R part of Drink With Me, I feel that it would be good for his character.
the reason why they cut out most dancing parts for Marius' and Cossete's wedding is that Eddie couldn't control his legs and kept messing up the dances so they just stuck with him spinning her around
WHY "Long live the Republic!", a part of "Drink with Me" and many scenes were deleted?? Where should I send our cries of the deleted scenes to??? PLEASE sell the DVD long version. PLEASE let me BUY it. PLEASE let me PAY for it.
I almost wonder if that was meant to be at Valjean's Death since in the stage musical she's there rather than the Bishop (not that I dislike this change in the movie; it's more accurate).
The show will never be complete without Grantaire in Drink with Me. It would be nice if they'd left in the line between Gavroche and Courfeyrac "she was my sister" but it's never even implied in any of the musical versions, only the book and non-musicals.
I really wish they would have kept in the scene with Gavroche and Éponine, as no one that was seeing this for the first time even knew that he was her little brother.
Most of these scenes were in the trailer and they were cut out of the movie which is really disappointing. I would've also loved to see more Eponine and Gavroche moments because they are siblings after all
I wish they’d filmed the ending originally called for in the script. Basically, the plan was that the ghosts of all those who died would be marching alongside the Republican rioters (Marius and Cosette included) in the February Revolution of 1848 as everyone sang the finale.
Me after the title ‘Alternative ending’ waiting to see the ending with Les Amis being alive and victorious, having read the Brick and knowing for sure it wouldn’t happen 👁👄👁
The one im most mad about is the javert/enjolras scene tbh. That could have been an important moment for javert, seeing the young enjolras upside down like that, dead for what he believed in. Especially since enjolras’ blood was technically on javert’s hands.
My favorite unused scene the ones with Marius and Cosette, and which I would preferred if they were used in the movie and if there were more scene with the two of them.
I would’ve loved to see more Enjolras and Grantaire
Marquis de Lafayette I think everyone would!
Potato Fish me too!! I just started it and that’s the whole reason
Potato Fish SAME its taking forever though he wrote WAY to much lol
Potato Fish I haven’t even gotten past the bread stealing scene and it’s KILLING me

He was...said it on twitter
Yet he remians the most memorable character to me, i loved his performance

Yeah same...George was great but it would have been so much better if they didn't cut out practically every one of R's big moments
He read the book, studied hard on his character and then the director cut him to shreds. You can tell he loved his character, because of that song he sang about “the leader in red”. What a shame. Maybe the uncut version of the film will be released. For those actors who love and study their characters, how long it takes to get them out of their system.

Well it's almost 2021 and i'm still upset we don't have an extended verison with more of les amis on it
the fact that they basically took out Grantaire's entire part but left their weirdass Santa sex scene is a hate crime
Okay Tom Hooper, you failed us with Cats, release the extended version of this and we'll try to forgive you.
I want him to make Miss Saigon next
They shouldn’t have cut Eponine a ghost out of the movie, it fits really well because she just wanted to make Marius happy no matter why’s happened to her so her ghost showing up and seeing what happened to Marius and Cossette would’ve been perfect
I wish there was more Gavroche and Eponine like their brother and sister and the movie doesn’t even address it
Gosh darn I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact that they didn’t include grantaire’s verse of drink with me
same
I just bought the blu ray and in the directors commentary Tom Hooper says that his first cut was about 4 hours long, I would watch that! I really want that version
I am STILL absolutely heartbroken they didn't show Grantaires solo, no ones gives a fknffff about Marius and Cosette, WE WANT E & R!
Madame Thénardier: Get some water
Cosette: *Comes back with a dad*
@Lady Macbeth "Did you get the water?"
"No I got a dad though, bye bitch"
I was reading the script and I think the film would definitely have been better with george blagden's line 'viva le republique' aswell as if they kept father mabuef, who is actually an important character in the story.
Where did you find the script? I would love to read
Oh man I wish they had more footage of Les Amis (especially E and R) and of Cosette and Marius' wedding. That would've been nice. Also, if they added the R part of Drink With Me, I feel that it would be good for his character.
I died when you said "and now some photos..." and they were all Grantaire lmao
the reason why they cut out most dancing parts for Marius' and Cossete's wedding is that Eddie couldn't control his legs and kept messing up the dances so they just stuck with him spinning her around
Everyone's just pissed that they cut out a lot of George's scenes. I love it, finally some justice
the justice will be served only if he releases the deleted parts!!
@@linh4558 There’s a petition to release the directors cut, so it’s possible
@@that_one_guy_you_walk_pastwhere? Omg I hope it works
WHY "Long live the Republic!", a part of "Drink with Me"
and many scenes were deleted??
Where should I send our cries of the deleted scenes to???
PLEASE sell the DVD long version. PLEASE let me BUY it. PLEASE let me PAY for it.
RxE_non yea exactly. I would pay to see these precious scenes! They just cut out all thr best parts, seriously?!!!
We need the Director's cut. Sometimes they're better but they could be just as disjointed.
I’ll pay £50.00 for the undeleted version of the film.
ill give them all my money to see it
Eponine's ghost staring at Cosette and Marius😭

The Bring Him Home instrumental sounds so depressing-
The whole story is depressing, beautiful but hugely depressing
Blagden deserved more, he barley had like 3 screen minutes, so upsetting.
Why would they leave out "Long Live the Republic!" Or R's part in Drink with me???
WHY DID THEY CUT OUT GRANTAIRES BIT THO ;-;
I believe the one of Éponine and Gav they’re just talking normally
*Hooper:*
You’ll starve again.
Unless you learn the meaning of the cuts
*Us:*
Or the meaning of those 10 years
A slaaave of the director’s cuuut
I am so mad at the cut in Grantaires solo. it still angers me that they cut such a beautiful verse.
I'll never forgive them for cutting so many of Grantaire's scenes.
Eponine and Gavroche;-;
I would have loved to see Éponines ghost in it though
GRANTAIRE WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn right he was
As someone who's playing Grantaire in my school's production, I'm seriously bothered they cut all of his big moments in the film.
0:37 "Mom said its my turn on the x box"
It’s 2021 almost 2022 and I’m still upset that they cut all the best parts out the movie. They didn’t have to cut so much out of George. ;-;
I really wish they would have kept in the scene with Gavroche and Éponine, as no one that was seeing this for the first time even knew that he was her little brother.

The Eponine’s Ghost wouldn’t make
sense in the 2012 film as Eponine and Valjean’s paths never crossed
It's more for her to comfort Marius really, like Fantine is doing for Cosette
Air Travel 415: I absolutely agree that Eponine's ghost doesn't need to be there.
I'm 100% sure Amanda Seyfried's smile cures cancer
All these were on the trailer though...or at least most of them
I'm still not over Nº14 and also the fact that tey cut almost one paragraph of Javerts final song too.
:(
Eponine & Gavroche!
Me after the title ‘Alternative ending’ waiting to see the ending with Les Amis being alive and victorious, having read the Brick and knowing for sure it wouldn’t happen
👁👄👁
Who agrees that they shouldn’t have cut Eponines ghost scene
It's 2022 but where can i find a version with all these scenes uncut:(
I love Prouvaire’s death but he is not in the movie
La planète de Mimil he is. He just isn’t really featured.
If I remember correctly, Alistair Brammer was Jehan Prouvaire
A lot of luv for such an movie having great revolutionist
Is this homophobia?
Yes
i love this so much!!!
Chrisxchambers Thank you very much!!
i would love to see more Grantaire in that movie
Hes fuckin cute man
SIN. THEY CUT OUT SO MUCH OF GEORGE BLAGDEN!!!!!!
HIS VERSE??? HIS SOLO??? HELLO????
EXCUSE ME THEY INCLUDED MONSIEUR MABEUF IN THE MOVIE AND THEN CUT HIM OUT? WHAT STRAIGHT SACRILEGE IS THIS?
There’s also an alternate cut of when Valjean shoots at the wall next to Javert shown from Javert’s perspective
I never knew of an eponine ghost scene... amazing 🏵️
Great video,song is great
3:40 were they originally planning on doing the full version of beggars at the feast, but then ended up shortening it to the single verse?
The one im most mad about is the javert/enjolras scene tbh. That could have been an important moment for javert, seeing the young enjolras upside down like that, dead for what he believed in. Especially since enjolras’ blood was technically on javert’s hands.
Pretty sure that’s Jamie Muscato at 5:04. The guy that played JD in Heathers in London with Carrie Hope Fletcher. Could be wrong tho
i really think that george kinda looks like hugh jackman. especially with a hair like that
Eponine and gavroche ,,
Father Mabreuf
Grantaire part of drink with me
.
why would they cut these 😫😫
Is it just me or were some of these clips from the trailer
I hate that the don't include the Grantaire line "do you permit it" before they die together
What was the alternate ending with the Thenardiers?
Why Thernadiers are able to add in the finale scean they are ruining the perfect moment
Ok
What was the alternate ending about? Can't really find much about it.
In the Turkish version the parts you showed are not deleted, LOL?
Where to find it
My favorite unused scene the ones with Marius and Cosette, and which I would preferred if they were used in the movie and if there were more scene with the two of them.
Gibt es inzwischen eigentlich Hoffnung auf die komplett Fassung?
Leider wahrscheinlich nicht. Es ist acht Jahre her.
THEY CUT OUT ABC CAFE BEGINNING AND LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC?? KILL ME
