people forget how big quo were.... fantastic band, long live the quo... they always make me smile when I hear one of their tunes, pure class....! i`m 46 and first album I purchased was on the level,
que d'souvenir !j'en ai acheté des 45 tours en70_80 status quo !black sabathtout ces bon groupes de ces années là!çà a été une sacrée période qu j'noublierai jamais!!!
this song has to be the coolest song ever wrote it really kicks ass good guitar playing and brilliant vocals by francis rossie in this pure top rock n roal song of all time and will always remain a pure classic for decades to come.
those were the good ol,days listening to quo sweet sabbath kiss judas priest the songs and the good time memories will always remain, this track was always played "loud"on the old stereo on vinyl,....those were the days, magical rock bands magical times......times have changed for the worst but its good to know we can play these bands how good the music and memories were long live QUO!!
Its great to see the original band together in this clip. One of very few rock bands around the world still playing today and survived the sixties and seventies. Status Quo, with their unique sound, still gives me shivers up and down my spine when I hear their music especially when Down Down is played. Great memories. By far one of the worlds greatest rock bands. I would love to see them Down Under soon. Come to Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. Good Luck guys.
Magical band in that killer and best line up: Rick, Alan, John and Francis. A band that was huge in the 70's and late 80's, the biggest thing to come out at that time was a Quo record. Ricks playing of the rhythm guitar and Johns drumming are one of a kind, combined with Alans and Francis songwriting it made Quo's sound. No band comes even close to their unique sound.
As a 9 year old kid I saw this on Dutch TV and I became a fan instantly! Absolutely timeless. When my first child shall be born next summer, the Quo shall be part of her's or his' upbringing ;-). Thank you very much for posting! Peace to you all.
You cannot destroy a rock classic by using it for an ad. The original will aways be there. Royalties will be paid. If we wish to pay homage to this song, click the like button. Quo rocks on.
I wish todays musicians would learn from artists like Quo! They are awesome! They can play their instruments and can sing! That is why we are looking back more and more! Modern musicians are crap with a few exceptions such as Green Day Mettalica and Cold play! Look at Motorhead and the Ramones also! Great bands!
The best Rocking band of the world: Status Quo, the Frantic Four!!! There is no substitute! Still love them. I am now living for Christ, but all they sang in years of the 70- and 80-ies has all come true for me. It's like one big prophetic Revelation to sing the songs from those years! Unbelievable, but it is really true. Only the song 'Reason for Living' didn't come out, because my prayers where Answered(!) by Jesus Christ! Halleluja! Yes, I was going 'Down, down and down' untill I hit rock-bottom, wich was the sewer btw. I got addicted on heroïne and later on some cocaïne with it! But now I am free in Christ and you guys sung it all! Thanks for helping me out, because when I wanted to end me live, it was your music wich stopped me from doing it, there was power in you guys music and it still is. I hope you will find Jesus soon too! Bless you guys in JC-Name, sincerely in Christ, M.A.B.
Heck I am 53 yrs old and I still love to watch these guys just like I did way back in 1975 when I was 19 yrs old! Nothing surpasses music from the 70's..at least they were true musicians unlike a lot of the trash from nowadays!
boogie boogie at it's best .. Quo's only number one hit !! To me they will always be No 1 Francis Rossi , Rick Parfitt , Alan Lancaster and John Coughlan... Rest In Peace Rick ......Love The Quo !!!!
Ezt a fantasztikus slágert a császártöltési kulturban hallottam életemben először,mely azóta is a fülemben cseng!Érdekesség,hogy itt láttam életemben először az ún.UV.fényt,mely a csajok melltartóját világította át fehérben,no meg a szép fehér fogsorokat!!
...Madre mia!.......Madre mia!....... ---------------Thank you!!!!!
Thanks Rich4rd1337. And I have to admit it did not detract too much from the music. And at the end of the day it's the music that counts and the Quo were, and are, GREAT!
Aaah!! The trusty old "down down" tele before it was painted green. It even still has the Bigsby which he chopped up to fit the tune o matic, and later the GL saddle lock bridge. Its quite interesting to think that it had 3 pickups in the early days!
This is the kinda music i would play on a roadtrip with the motorcycle, gotta love it, miles rolling under your harley's wheels and just keep on going... geez i could grow old like that

Damn straight. I'm 18, yet saw Quo the other night in London and was one of the best shows I ever saw. Can't be beaten.

Un piacere ascoltare un buon rock'n'roll come questo
Una canzone che se non esistesse bisognerebbe "inventarla"...
As a 9 year old kid I saw this on Dutch TV and I became a fan instantly! Absolutely timeless. When my first child shall be born next summer, the Quo shall be part of her's or his' upbringing ;-). Thank you very much for posting! Peace to you all.
Did you ever see such a laid back, laconic rock drummer!! Love this song.
My dad was a VIP-bartender at Toppop in Holland. He met some of the the biggest rock-stars ever.
Yeeaaaahhh!! In the 80's. My head shakin' n' shakin' n'shakin. Down'n'down'n'down.
Heads down, meet you at the coda! What a great boogie band; I never get tired of hearing this.
Fender guitar, Marshall amp, distortion...best sound ever invented by mankind.
Arguably their finest moment (among countless such fine moments). God bless Rick Parfitt.
A German Autobahn, a Audi A6 and this song.... Awesome!!!
Rick is by far the unsung hero. Try beating barre chords for that long with perfect timing, not to mention an entire set! I love these guys!
You cannot destroy a rock classic by using it for an ad. The original will aways be there. Royalties will be paid. If we wish to pay homage to this song, click the like button. Quo rocks on.
It will never get better than this
