I always liked the 717 when I flew AirTran from MKE to RSW. The 2+3 configuration was perfect for a couple with two kids, and the free satellite radio, which included Radio Disney, kept the kids entertained in the days before everyone had an iPad. Makes me wonder where ValuJet would be today if not for Flight 592 -- they were supposed to be the launch customer for the MD-95 to replace their VERY tired fleet of DC-9s. Of course, one could argue that AirTran was just ValuJet with a new name and a fresh coat of paint...
@@jonathankleinow2073 That’s incredible. I never got the opportunity to fly with AirTran prior to their acquisition. I’ve heard great things about the airline. Some upcoming reviews feature old Continental aircraft. Some of those old touches and features from Continental are still in use today. Makes me wonder how this industry will look in the coming decade.
