Was lucky enough to see them live this spring in a 1600 seat theater - they warmed the room and kept it rolling. One of the happiest crowds I've been part of in a long time.

When the guitars kicked in near the beginning the horns were playing a softer tone. It seemed to take the edge off the more distinct picking sound.

Gonna guess you haven't so give Guckkasten a listen. The Acoustic version of Red is one of my favorite songs. Oh and Waga Arubeki Basho by Mucc. Their music is so poetic.
Not yet but I hope to. These guys are incredible. Constantly blowing my mind. This was a funky awesone groove.
My first time hearing Snarky Puppy, but I really enjoy jazz so this was great! Haven't seen that many musicians in a band for ages. I kind of thought some guitar or sax solo would happen as well, but they just merged back into the groove. I have seen Keiko Matsui (piano if you are not familiar with her) at least 5 times, and nothing seems better than a live jazz concert where you can just sit, relax, and enjoy the incredible music. Snarky Puppy must need quite a stage for their shows!!
I’ll check them out. They just came around here and I missed them due to another thing planned for that day. The stage at thr venue is pretty big so yep they can take some real estate for sure. I do love all music but jazz is one of those things that is so hard and it compels me to learn as much as I can in my own playing.
