Yes great tune and arrangement and the thing that is often overlooked is the stunning and unobtrusive video work and the insanely beautiful mix. Unfortunately the genius sound mixer that worked with Snarky Puppy passed away far too young.
There are probably things in my life that would make me happier than you watching more Collier, but I can't think of them. PLLLEAAASEEE! His massive cover of all night long is a good start. Or maybe his cover of Flintstones. Anything.... Please

Palmy: *plays the quirkiest little riff of all time*
"Yeah, why not? We'll leave it there"
The other drummer is “Sput” Robert Searight. The dude is phenomenal, he was BORN in the pocket. He was the original drummer for Snarky Puppy.
Don't quote me but i've heard that the "other" drummer is/was the original drummer for Snarky Puppy, Larnell joined his first session as a sub at last minute & learnt the tunes on the plane over to the session a day or two before.
Yeah he’s Sput Searight
You're so much on point here! I love the way you broke this down. To me personally, the absolute fastest way to really learn how to play, was with musicians way above my pay grade. When I play with very talented people, I can truly relax and concentrate on serving the music. It has been the best way to hone down my grove and feel.
Always be the worst player in the band.
Its such a pleasure that they are here in this time for us to experience NOW! They remind me of weather report!!! With songs like Bird Land
Good to see and hear someone who belongs to my world. The one and only musical world I know since 60 years now. I feel less alone listen to the music of the 30 next years.
Michael, you’ve really helped me dig into countless artists that I’ve heard countless times, but didn’t listen critically to... from Huey Lewis to Snarky Puppy! I get a sense that some musicians create universes. They tune into the laws of physics and they build entanglement and collapse. They dance around rings and moons and they let us explore with them.
Thanks for helping me to remember to get into the spaceship and leave my neighborhood.
I would love to witness you discovering Jacob. Please do more of his music!
YES SIR! SO many people only look at "Lingus", but this and "Sleeper" are my absolute favorites by SP. You the man for this one.
Yeah... sleeper
The name of the bassist who gave the hand raise, Michael League. And there is a lot of info on him in Wikipedia. These people are out of this world as they are always presenting new musicians. I am always awe struck. Lynn Lawmaster
"It's above my paygrade" feels like merch or a meme waiting to happen.
First time with you reacting. Very impressed, much enjoyed, great comments. Thanks.
This is the strangest sound I've heard since the alien singer in The Fifth Element... and I love it!
In case you didn’t know who the bassist is...he’s the brains behind the whole thing. He’s also a super nice dude! Went out one night with him and a couple of the band members when they performed in Seattle a couple years back!
please listen to Jacob Collier's Moon River arrangement. It's all his voice in an endless field of Logic tracks. And if you really want your mind blown, watch his logic session breakdown, where he explains the arrangement and his thought process over the course of an hour.
Yes great tune and arrangement and the thing that is often overlooked is the stunning and unobtrusive video work and the insanely beautiful mix. Unfortunately the genius sound mixer that worked with Snarky Puppy passed away far too young.
I would love to see a reaction to the curtain by snarky puppy it's simply beautiful and has so mutch emotion put into it!! Love your videos!!!
This whole concert is fantastic
I will have you know, my nephew transcribed and played a Snarky Puppy concert for his graduation project from High School.
Dude, I love your breakdown. It really makes me listen better. Oh, and appreciate the artistry.
Thank you just for doing what you do
There are probably things in my life that would make me happier than you watching more Collier, but I can't think of them. PLLLEAAASEEE! His massive cover of all night long is a good start. Or maybe his cover of Flintstones. Anything.... Please
This version is the musical equivalent of Tennent. You need to listen to it several times to appreciate the musicianship and quality of the mix. Great job all round.
His song, Lua (featuring MARO) is worth a watch/listen (beautiful piano / nylon string guitar / strings arrangement.)
You’re one of my favorite youtubers. Love these videos.
When Jacob, Corey, and Mike on bass, with those percussion players are in one room together, CAREFUL WITH SPARK,THE WHOLE PLACE WILL BLOW
Yeah...This piece is something else...And the rythmic is insane...
Abject genius with an undeniable pop quality. Never in my 73 years have I heard anything approaching Jacob. Love this reaction video, my sentiments exactly. Best line "It's official". God that Larnell is something. And as cooking as it all is, it's just as tasty. All those phenomenal players playing just what's required. And jacob, well, stupifying. It's official.
Great idea Michael
We are witnessing the birth of the superhero musicians.
I love your work!
