I also had the same problem with the person in the 1st clip. The humidity in my tank stays at around 80% the whole day but it has been raining and I also live in a region in South Africa with parts of higher humidity.

My gecko is around 6-7 months and i have one of those warm hide with the tree stump and it keeps climbing into it and staying there and so when it come to feeding I have to either try to get it out with food which takes a long time or I can’t feed it and I don’t know what I should do, I’ve tried filling it but it keep managing to dig through what I put in the tree stump 😔

Hi! I've already got a leopard gecko and getting a crested in the new year. My crested will be going in the hall way as this is the coolest in the summer and out of sunlight. But in the winter with the central heating on in the evenings the hall way gets to around 23-25c. Would this be okay or should I consider other options?

My gecko has a big enclosure with Coconutcore substrate lots of hides a bunch of rocks and some drift wood but he never uses his cold hide He uses his humid hide which is at the same side but never his cold one, he uses it more as a plate than anything else Should I switch out that hide for a different kind or just keep it in there (its a slate hide and I have the ability to switch it to a moss ball or a fake log)
Hello! I have been on a six-month journey of research on reptiles and your videos have helped me so much. I am “rescuing” (I say this loosely because I am buying them from a family who doesn’t really want them anymore) two female leopard geckos who have lived in the same tank their entire lives, about five years. I know them living together isn’t really the best thing, however would it make them sad to get separate tanks? After growing up together do they form an emotional bond? I wouldn’t want to stress them out by separating them.

I know this is off topic of your video. But I was wondering what substrate I should get. I’m not old enough yet to make money so my dad buys my leopard gecko stuff. He doesn’t like getting expensive products, such as earth mix arid, and i wanna try loose coco fiber, but i’m scared if my gecko eats it. I have learned a lot about loose coco fiber, but now i’m not sure if it’s digestible from some vids i have watched.
I also prefer that the substrate doesn’t come with a clean up crew because i have a fear of small insects. I can handle the bugs my gecko eats but not any bugs smaller than that. I wouldn’t like to use a reptile carpet, because, i’m sure you already know.
I have a sibling who has a full grown adult leopard gecko, he is good at hunting, but whenever he sees something move or look anything like a mealworm he tries to eat it. he is fed a good enough amount. the same amount of food that is recommended for an adult. so, i’m mostly worried about my siblings gecko if they try to eat the substrate or try to hunt and misses it.

I don't like to use coco fiber for leopard geckos because to keep the correct humidity then the coco fiber gets pretty dry and then it gets really dusty and gets in their eyes nose and mouth so I personally don't like to use it with leopard geckos
Impaction is caused by improper husbandry, not loose substrate. This has been scientifically proven. As long as their husbandry is correct (hot spot of 92-95, ideally overhead heating, etc.), they’ll easily pass any substrate they ingest. I and countless others have used loose for years without a single problem. They encounter loose substrate in the wild all the time, and it offers beneficial digging enrichment. This is worth a read reptifiles.com/does-loose-substrate-cause-impaction/
10 gallon tanks aren’t big enough to get a proper temperature gradient or fit much decor. Start them in a 20 gallon long or bigger. This is the bare minimum for an adult, 40 gallons or bigger is strongly recommended. Just be sure to clutter the tank with hides, fake plants, etc.

My leopard geckos Pattern has changed but I have not let found shed and I have had it for around 3 months
They eat their dead skin after shedding, maybe that's why you can't find anything

UVB bulbs don’t produce heat, heat lamps warm up rocks.

is flukers sphagnum moss fine for the humid hide? i dont use it but i heard moss keeps good humidity and my soil always dries out quick.

@Leopard Gecko Hi just had a question. My leopard gecko has some black stuff around her eyes. Is this normal. A few weeks ago I didn't notice it there. Also there is some skin on top of her head. She isn't too tame yet, what is the best way to get that off. She's about 2 years old. Thank you!

I don't like to use coco fiber for leopard geckos because to keep the correct humidity then the coco fiber gets pretty dry and then it gets really dusty and gets in their eyes nose and mouth so I personally don't like to use it with leopard geckos

Do you not worry about impaction having leopards on loose substrate?
Impaction is caused by improper husbandry, not loose substrate. This has been scientifically proven. As long as their husbandry is correct (hot spot of 92-95, ideally overhead heating, etc.), they’ll easily pass any substrate they ingest. I and countless others have used loose for years without a single problem. They encounter loose substrate in the wild all the time, and it offers beneficial digging enrichment. This is worth a read

10 gallon tanks aren’t big enough to get a proper temperature gradient or fit much decor. Start them in a 20 gallon long or bigger. This is the bare minimum for an adult, 40 gallons or bigger is strongly recommended. Just be sure to clutter the tank with hides, fake plants, etc.

my female leapord gecko wont eat i tried meal warms and crickets its been awhile im alittle worried. should i add more heat and hides for her? i have a heating lap on the tank and heating rock in the tank and heating pads under the tank.
I got my first leopard gecko 9 months ago,when we bought him(i was really new to keeping reptiles) it had eye-proptosis
he had lost a finger on one hand and the person who got the gecko out oh his tank HE DROPPED IT
2Months later and the poor thing got metabolic bone disease

I want to do a story time onhow I saved a leopard gecko from a petco. She had so much stuck shed , she was so skinny, and she looked so bad, I dont have a picture because of how much time I spent researching about mbd and parasites and I had to go to like 3 vet checks and I was spending so much time on her health I didnt have alot of time to do picture taking, yk. I really wanna do a storytime on her story and the experience but I dont feel like it'll get much. I dont wanna make a vid if it wont go anywhere, but yea. I wanna share her story
