Taking a calculated risk and starting my own drone services business. Been in sales for 10 years and realized drone services required a strong closing background to acquire results. First flew a drone back in 2020 and I loved it. Will need to invest into education and flight hours but the potential is limitless. Let's see what happens

Taylor your content is outstanding! So glad I found you and your channel! Hey on using gcps for construction mapping..do you use Trimble Catalyst or another gps to register your gcps? Is there a way to use gcp without gps? Im in Portland OR and gps correction is free here but I dont really know how to use that. Trimble Cat seems easy but monthly fee is a little steep. Thanks so much!

Trimble Catalyst is definitely the most cost effective option if you're going to own equipment.
For GCP's, I use painted spots and hire a surveying firm to get the coordinates of the points for me...that way if it's not right it's their fault instead of mine.
I'd also look at this: emlid.com/reach/
Don't know a lot about it yet since it came on the market recently.
But yes, you do need GPS for your GCP's with RTK or PPK. The GCP's are there to give your map even more accuracy.
Another option if you don't want to use a surveying firm or buy equipment is to rent. But if you don't know anything about surveying, I would hire a professional...
There are companies out there that rent Aeropoints by Propeller as well as other traditional surveying equipment.
