Yup, let's face it, there was only one way this fight was going to end. As a huge fan of both The Boys and Invincible, it was an honor to be able to provide the voice and performance of Homelander, in a battle against Omni-Man no less. If you thought watching Homelander get bodied was satisfying, imagine how fun and satisfying it was acting it out. Thank you for having me!
I was hoping you would return after the episode on The Seven. Glad to see the voice acting work has been going well for you Yong!
superb job man! keep it up
Oh damn! Nice work, Yong!
My man you killed it as homelander!
You were amazing as homelander!
Invincible fans: I want Nolan to win
The boys fans: I want Nolan to win
Fans of neither: I want Omni Man to win
This just shows how insanely well written both characters really are.

Anyone who watched both shows knew Homelander was done for before he stepped into the ring. Honelander is powerful, but Omni-Man is on a totally different level.

We don't need that comparison anytime soon
Probably the darkest but most accurate comparison I’ve seen
Nah, that's inaccurate. A school shooter could take down a military veteran by getting lucky. This is more comparable to a playground bully picking a fight with a professional heavyweight boxer.
No such thing as luck, only skill, one is a expert cry baby, the other is a master cold blooded killer
Well. It would be like comparing Biff Tannen with John Wick.

It's only when Homelander realizes that Omni-Man can actually hurt him that he goes completely off the rails and starts flying through buildings and throws Omni-Man into a gas truck. It goes to show the difference in the two characters, one is a calm, hardened warrior who's probably fought similar battles hundreds of times in the past, while the other is a narcissistic sociopath who's never had a real fight in his life and throws explosive tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

Even the fighting styles of the two reflect this: Nolan's style is brutal, but focused and swift, like a soldier with decades of experience in the military. Homelander's style, meanwhile, is sloppy, wild and completely reckless, throwing various unfocused haymakers to no avail and being rather brutish overall, just like the bully he really is.
He panicked when he realized that he has to fight an actual warrior this time lol
For Homelander, it was the most dangerous fight of his entire life. For Omni Man, it was Tuesday.

Omni man is basically a marine soldier coming from a planet of superhumans. Homelander got beat by a group of regular ass humans. Homelander didn't stand a chance.
Omni man would be special ops. Basically the punisher of super human aliens.
Omni Man would be a marine, while Homelander is a Highschool bully.

@@castedsp1dersyeah. OM is more like special forces than a Marine.
He didn’t come in hot to establish a beachhead for follow on forces, like marines. The first ones to land in an interstellar invasion could be considered marines. (Though with how strong they are, they wouldn’t need conventional roles like this, one of them could destroy all of earth without even trying).
He went undercover, learned the host language and culture, had a family, and shaped the future battlefield to give his side an advantage in the fight to come. His role hasn’t been a hard military one of killing, but of shaping the culture and society to accept his eventual conquest. Sounds a lot more like Green Berets or other Spec Ops.
@@jabrone.destoroyahMark's already relativistic and this is his season 1 version. Season 2 Mark was keeping up with Thula, who COULD scale somewhere around Nolan's level, though judging by her injury after she *tried* to throw it down with him, she most likely doesn't so far.
In any case, Mark was already keeping up with mountain-wrecking fighters as a dude fresh out of high school. Imagine what his mid-series self would do, let alone Nolan's end-series form if he wasn't so cautious and generous.
In all honesty, if Nolan didn't let morals get in the way, he probably would have killed Thragg, or at least hurt the dude more than he already did. I realize Thragg scales above Nolan since Nolan broke his arm hitting him, but if you can make this Freddie Mercury looking fellow bleed, you're automatically really, *REALLY* strong.
The creators of both comics agreed that Omni Man could demolish Homelander.
"We've run the data through all possibilities." Homie, this wasn't a deathbattle, it was Homelander getting put though a Omni-man shaped woodchipper. It was a massacre. A satisfying, cathartic massacre.

I do greatly appreciate that omniman was mildly surprised at homelander's physical strength when he got tackled. Kind of a "Huh. Didn't know there was anyone quite this strong around here." In the comics that was even nolan’s job for a while. He found things in the universe that could harm viltrumites and disabled them.
And on top of that it was an exaggeration by Death Battle to allow HL an advantage, since viltrumites are weak to a few very specific frequencies, not sonic attacks in general, and Homelander is highly unlikely to randomly stumble upon the right ones in a death battle, especially if he wasn't aware that was a weakness

"One's a warrior while the other is a bully" good observation. I also appreciated their total lack of care for collateral damage.
Honestly i was expecting MORE collateral. Omni man did more damage "disciplining" his son lol.
With an incredible difference in pain tolerance
@@frostfiredirewolf8517 his son was stronger.
Yes too that last one you can say humanity lost this one
@@frostfiredirewolf8517 Exactly. Omni-man's son cares about human lives, so doing collateral damages make sense when disciplining him, it hurts him emotionally. No point doing that with Homelander. Also, Omni-man was trying to not kill his son, making the fight much more disadvantageous for him.
Homelander: "im gonna kill your son"
Invincible: *proceeds to whip the floor with homelander*
That was by far one of the most brutal kills in death battle history. What a way to kill such a despised character.

Nolan is such a badass. And his VA was on point!
Kind of a mix between JK Simmons and the VA for King Bradley in FMA, voice work was a little un-emotive compared to either but given the context that's appropriate, and otherwise it was totally perfect

@@laraschroeder5195 Nah. In the comics, he got a lot better at being a legitimate good guy. Omni-Man _is_ more human than Homelander. He might call Debbie is "pet," but that's because he wants to convince himself that he doesn't care… He's not successful.

Homelander was so outclassed by Omni Man that i think the Immortal caused him more trouble.
"One is a warrior, and the other is a bully."
That says it all right there. Omni-Man actually believes he was doing the right thing by his people, despite how wrong he went about it. On the other hand, Homelander is only concerned with his own ego and reputation. We eventually discover that Omni-Man is capable of redemption despite the atrocities he committed while Homelander has shown no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It was so satisfying see Homelander get curb stomped.
And he even helped his entire race find redemption...

"One is a warrior, the other is a bully" is really such an on the nose line. Because it not only describes both characters so well, but it really emphasizes why there is such a difference in ability between them.
Yeah, even if Homelander was equal in power with Omni-man, Homelander would still lose. He's just not use to fighting people that are his equal, while Omni-man has fought people and monsters that are just as, if not stronger, then he is.
@@Phil-dp9iq And assuming Nolan's fight with Mean Supreme is canon, Omni-Man has already pretty much fought Homelander before.
Bully isn’t even a strong word to describe someone like Homelander. He’s a deranged psycho.
