  • A walk through one of Donegal's most famous landmarks, the Poison Glen. This took roughly 9 hours so maybe not one for beginners!

    I mind my O-level Geography at St Columb's College, Our teacher ( and I) were obsessed with signs of glaciation in central and west Donegal. The term "armchair formation" is very apt here. Maitheadh, Paddy. In September 2022, when I walked up to the summit the other Slieve Sneacht (in central Inishowen) and it was pure magic, so it was, except for the damned clegs. They were biting voraciously. I won't forget it.- Calamine lotion for days.

    The preview video is a brilliant idea for getting more subscribers. We can all share that to suck more people in.

    Just watched this paddy absolutely amazing ,and a top tip on the boots 👌 I spent 200 sterling on a pair that fucking fell to bits in just over a year and the supplier blamed my feet 🙈 I see you taking water from them wee streams,obviously safe enough you’re still alive 🤗

    • @highlandpaddy2756
      @highlandpaddy2756  Рік тому +1

      Aye, same thing with the boots, spent big bucks on a top pair and they fell apart in a year which is unacceptable. A very good pair of boots I'd recommend is No Risk. All the builders wear them, I'm wearing a pair right now, but a very tough and comfortable work boot which is ideal for any outdoor activity. They cost anything from 65-80 euros depending where you get them

After looking towards the Poison Glen for several months (and painting it repeatedly because it won’t stop coming out on my canvas), to see it from your view is like seeing its secrets revealed. Or at least a glimpse. ❤ Absolutely beautiful. I’ll never make that walk, so thank you. 🙏

Loved the singing above the Poisoned Glen🎶 hopefully someone down below was in earshot. That whole area is just stunning, wild, remote and midge filled🦟😊 Cool trip👍

      Hey Robert! The problem is I'm working full time again and when that happens I don't seem to make time for making videos. I'm really busy at the moment and I'm in the process of recording an album of my songs so that takes up one day of every weekend. But very recently I've decided that I'm going to buy a drone which I hope will make my videos better and it'll give me more motivation to get out there again. I want to try and grow the channel to the point where I can basically quit working and do this full time. The Dream! It doesn't even seem plausible but I'm gonna give it a shot. So once I get my drone in the next couple of weeks there will be new and much better videos. Thanks for the message. I can't believe I have viewers in the States!

      Balors rock at the foot of the glen, gives its name to the glen. Cro nimbhe. Poison glenn. Balor was presumably killed at that rock by cuchullain and that the rock was split by the poison from balors one evil eye. Hence the name poison glen. Cuchullain fucked a spear through balors one evil eye. He should have stayed on tory
