As stated, she is hugely important and deserves much more recognition for her contribution to music. Nobody took risks like she did. She created a space for women in rocknroll that simply didnt exist prior. A true pioneer in every sense of the word. And seems like a very nice woman to boot. I thank you Ms. Williams.....

I have to admit that I never gave Wendy much consideration and credit but I digress. After listening to this interview I did a complete 360 on her as a person and woman. She is a genuine smart and really fun loving woman I thoroughly enjoyed her take on things and her honesty. I was genuinely smitten with her in this interview. Hard to fathom inside this beautiful confident, upbeat, seemingly happy, health conscience animal loving person lurked a person who ultimately gave up on life. So sad she is gone. Dang it 😢.....

I only discovered Wendy in the last 10 years actually. I think she was a brilliant human being I respect her a lot. I brought her up to one of my metal friends who has been into metal since high school and plays drums in a metal band and he said “oh yeah crazy old Wendy Williams” I was bothered by that. Such lack of respect for this woman who deserves nothing but respect. Truly lived and died on her own terms. I hope you found the piece you wanted, Wendy. REST IN POWER!

Small correction: This wasn't filmed in 1988. She doesn't have the serpent tattoo that she got in 1987. This was made in 1986, around when Kommander of Kaos was released, she's wearing the outfit she always wore around that time.

10 minutes into the interview and he's still asking her about fashion, not the music. Just another example of how women are treated in the music industry. I wonder if Amy from amyl and the sniffers was inspired by this fabulous woman. If you don't know Amyl and the Sniffers, look them up, you won't be disappointed.

I was thinking the same. She got the snake tattoo on her right arm sometime in early 1987, and she got the tattoo on her back in 1986. She shows it off as her new tattoo on the Joan Rivers Show (Oct 21, 1986), and also in an interview with Dweezil Zappa on MTV sometime around Aug/Sept'86. So I'd say the date and month are probably correct but the year is 1986.

Must've been extremely discouraging for Wendy. According to him she had a super sad expression on her face too.
Imagine being one of the most intelligent people on Earth, spreading some of the best knowledge one could give, and just being known by most people for your body. The more I think about it the more depressing it feels.
