More rock, huh? Many say they sound like anime openings. In their Nightmare series, Chase Me, Good Night, Wake Up (b-side, punk), You & I, What, and Piri. In their Tree of Dystopia series, Sahara (b-side, self-made MV), Break The Wall (b-side, self-made MV), Odd Eye (electro-rock), Wind Blows (b-side, electro-rock). In the Apocalypse series, Maison, Vision, Fairy Tale (b-side), Bon Voyage (heavy at times). Reason is heavy and made for the fans. In the current series, Rising (b-side), Justice (which you just heard). There are 2 Japanese songs more metal, Endless Night, No More. There are 2 game songs that are heavy at times, Deja Vu, Eclipse.
Funny that the also do have the song that says "I'm better than you, I'm higher class than you, I have more money than you", but ironically and sarcastically. It is called OOTD and it is first part of the two-parter where Justice is the second part. In OOTD they show the dirt and shallowness of all that crap I've mentioned before, acting as villains (album name) and in Justice they show the virtuous (album name) side, ready to stand for what they are and what they believe in. Oh, and OOTD is a banger as well, it is completely different but a very awesome song, however it might take more than one playthrough to get it.
Technically, Dreamcatcher has that kind of "I'm better than you" song but in sarcastic ways. To ensure perfect alignment, that song (OOTD) is just a parallel version of JUSTICE. They even make it a "Versus Series". Other than that, DC always approaching real issues, at least on the title track.
Right. Dreamcatcher always have their message on their theories. This song from Villains Versus series. Previous song OOTD they're turn to Villains fighting over the crown (a symbol of power or being superior to others) and arrogance that misleads humanity that is why, in this Virtuous album, they seek forgiveness and destroy the crown. People in power often do whatever it takes, including acts of injustice. This is a satire because they become villains, yet they also claim that villains are as broken as the victims, leaving nothing but regret behind.
Thanks for the Dreamcatcher reaction. If you want more rock style songs from Dreamcatcher, check out the Nightmare series. The Nightmare series is as follows: Chase Me (debut song) Good Night Fly High (prequel) You and I What PIRI (end of Nightmare) Breaking Out (alternative ending)
You can go back to their earlier days if you crave for some more rock from them. But still, they're a K-pop group, so there's bound to be a pop side in the music. That's what makes them unique. They're not like band maid/babymetal nor blackpink/g-idle. They are their own genre. I can't wait for you to finish up the title track cause there's still more music from their b-sides or should you just do an album listen for the first time?
Lol Dreamcatcher had exactly ONE title track that appeared to be them flexing and bragging on themselves, and everyone was pissed (it was actually satirical and part of the same storyline as "Justice").😂 They do have messages in all their title tracks, except their very first story arc, which was the nightmare series and just spooky.
Were we? I thought most of the fans got it eventually, just may not have been super thrilled over the sound. I liked it myself but I could see why people wouldn’t.
And there's a reason why OOTD was the title track for the "Villain" album. It's not a song about them but the industry that display that type of behavior.
I’m a metalhead, so trust me when I say that their hardest song is No More, it’s just straight heavy guitars lol. They also got a custom anime character drawn for the lyric video i believe since it was a Japanese release
Pontus Norgren of Hammerfall composed + played guitar for No More! That’s why it’s legitimately metal, wish they’d do more of that but I can understand it having too little commercial viability for a kpop group.
Love these Dreamcatcher reactions! As others have said, Dreamcatcher do have one, and only one, song that fits into the category of a flex song and it's the first part of their Versus duology, called OOTD. But, Dreamcatcher being Dreamcatcher, the song still has a message. The stuff in OOTD is meant to be a cynical take on the state of the industry and how everything is manufactured and fake. There's A LOT of story packed into the promotions around this duology but the main thing is that OOTD is on the album Villains and Justice, which is part two of the Versus duology, is on the album Virtuous. You can draw pretty solid conclusions from just the names of the albums as both songs are mirrors/opposites of each others themes. OOTD is about sacrificing others for popularity and power while Justice is about standing in the gap for others and being willing to sacrifice yourself to fight for Justice. Like I said in the last video comments, Dreamcatcher are always going to have an element of "k-pop" in their music but they do have some songs that lean heavily into the rock and metal instrumentals. I'll try to link some videos. Break the Wall - b-side from the Boca album. ua-cam.com/video/T4tJ4aofRBg/v-deo.html What - Part 5 of their Nightmare series ua-cam.com/video/pN0dkjp1deQ/v-deo.html Piri - Part 6 of their Nightmare series ua-cam.com/video/Pq_mbTSR-a0/v-deo.html Endless Night - 2nd Japanese release ua-cam.com/video/wCALuFy2YVI/v-deo.html Curse of the Spider 2024 Concert Ver. - b-side from Deja Vu album. ua-cam.com/video/JUcuTIMTZq4/v-deo.html Red Sun - This song has no rock elements but I just wanted you to see a different side of them. B-side from the Scream album. ua-cam.com/video/RKBJVdjOHUY/v-deo.html This isn't all of their more rock centric songs but is a good sample. I also included a song that's not rock at all just to show a different side of them. They have a ridiculously diverse discography.
You want Dreamcatcher rock song suggestions, but let's take it to the next level: here's their 2 heaviest songs that have mostly metal elements: No More, and Endless Night. Then they have a bunch of songs that are mostly rock (and some have a bit of metal), but I'll just name the songs that rock the hardest of those, hopefully I'm not forgetting something: - Don't Light My Fire, Eclipse, Mayday, Rising - Honorable mentions: Break the Wall (doesn't rock quite as consistently as the others mentioned throughout the entire song, but does for most of it and the chorus hits pretty hard), and Beauty Full (it's a Dami solo track; has more of a punk rock feel though quite not as heavy/fast). Note that Dreamcatcher is the only kpop group that is, to use your term, "rock leaning" - they created their own lane, with all of their title tracks containing some rock and/or metal elements, and over half of their entire discography contains such elements. It's a much different level from (G)I-dle, who you also called "rock leaning", and I see that of your couple of reactions to them so far it seems that the rock elements in Tomboy's chorus, which was a departure from what they generally did before that, perhaps influenced your opinion of their style?
Thanks for reacting to Dreamcatcher. They do have quite a few pure rock songs, but I would say their core sound, especially in their recent title tracks, is that rock fusion. Rock is not very popular in Korea, so even when you have k-rock bands, a lot of them are not as heavy as Dreamcatcher or often have guitars that get a bit lost in the mix. They are still worth checking out in their own right though, but it depends on your taste.
Dreamcatcher's earlier songs (especially ones in the Nightmare Series) are more rock throughout. I'd suggest maybe You and I as one of the best ones from that era. Also notably Endless Night, which is a Japanese track, but it definitely goes harder than a lot of their other songs. The more recent songs they've released often swap between rock and some other style for the verses, usually to great effect. I think the most notable two in that regard are Deja Vu and one of my personal favorites - Bon Voyage. Bon Voyage in particular hits really really hard during the rock choruses, and I think it's at least partially because of the difference between the chorus and verse. If you want to see a really different vibe, check out Red Sun or BEcause. They're both kinda creepy in the best ways.
Thanks for reacting to dreamcatcher again! It always makes me happy when people discover more dreamcatcher songs If you want their more rock songs its their earlier songs definitely. Probably the heaviest being What. One of their recent songs that is also rock heavy is REASON. It's a song dedicated to fans and it has an MV. However, if you want super heavier stuff, its best to check their bsides. I personally love Rising and Break the Wall. People always hype dreamcatcher as the face of rock in kpop so most people seem to expect pure rock when listening to dreamcatcher, but its important to note that mainly, they MIX rock with other genres, so more often than not their songs will not be full blown rock. Also, they have versatile genres in their discography so don't always expect the songs to have rock in them!
Yes, I'm a warrior. Fight me! 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcissism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for so many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. Please note that this is just my interpretation. Art can be interpreted in different ways, and other opinions are just as valid as mine. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years.
She wanted to take the path of idols , Fate gave Her the path of Legends , Destiney Blessed Her with : Power , Magic , Flame and Timeless Beauty . " She is and They are the first and always" , Legendary Dreamcatcher .
Dreamcatcher and (G)I-DLE are two of my favorite girl groups specifically because the bulk of their work has some kind of message behind it. I'm happy you've discovered and enjoyed them both. In the case of Dreamcatcher, If you enjoy elements of speed, thrash, and nu metal, or hard rock, then you'll probably enjoy the Nightmare series of songs, which have already been covered in other comments. 'Maison', 'Vision', and 'Bon Voyage' make up the Apocalypse arc. If you're into more industrial/techno type stuff, a-la Mick Gordon's DOOM soundtrack, then you'll probably like 'Maison' and 'Vision'. 'Bon Voyage' is more of a ballad, and the instrumental has some pretty nice bass licks.
My suggestion for their heavy genre rock song: 1. No more (japanese song) 2. Don't light my fire (japanese song) 2. Endless night (japanese song) 3. Break the wall (korean song & b-side from dystopia lose myself album) 4. Rising (korean song & b-side from VillainS album) 5. Tension (korean song & b-s8de from dystopia tree of language) 6. Chase me (korean song & debut title track) 7. Good night (title track for first comback) 8. What 7. Vision
When I listen to songs in languages I don't know, I don't care much about the lyrics. But Dreamcather changed that. One of the reasons why I like Dreamcatcher so much is the lyrics. Because in k pop bands usually use lyrics like the world is a beautiful place, smile, believe in yourself, don't be sad. Dreamcather, on the other hand, says that the world is a shitty place, evil is always present and you have to fight here, you shouldn't fall down, even if you fall down, you should stand up. That's why I have a special love for them, they don't sell you lies, they just tell you the truth. And they have a message in every song, they don't make songs just to make songs. Thanks for the reaction.

dreamcatcher \:D/ they always switch it up so the rock elements used vary from song to song. they also rarely revisit sounds used in previous songs so almost all their songs are different from each other. some of their more straight up rock songs are b-sides since title tracks usually incorporate various genres. of title tracks, the nightmare series(chase me, good night, fly high, you and I, what, piri) are a bit more rock centric. you can also try endless night or vision which have a little heavier riffs. their title tracks are released as part of a themed series. for example justice is the conclusion of a 2 part "vs" duo with part one being "ootd". it's funny how you mention other kpop songs being rap and flexing centric because ootd takes a satirical stab at that aspect of entertainment and society with everything being overly produced and glamorized. justice brings everything back home with a clean mv with more simple instrumentation. ps you should put reaction in the title for more exposure. it helps with filtered searches since fans who want to watch reactions will search for dreamcatcher reaction. otherwise there's a lot of junk and your video could get lost in the clutter.
If you want more rock from DC and their title track, you might want to check out What, Goodnight, and Vision. I highly recommend following each story/part and start from Chase me [the beginning: nightmare series] since DC is lore heavy.
Please next react to kep1er song called Shooting Star !! You became one of my favorite reactors since lovely runner reactions and I enjoy every single video hope you will check on these amazing singers and performers !!
in my opinion dreamcatcher hasnt had a good title song for ages... the last one i liked was Vision... and before that it was every song (except maison, and yes i know i dislike their most successfull songs,.. but taste is taste...) but up till now they never failed me with their bsides.. so even if i dont like the title track the title tracks ALWAYS make up for it at minimum, at best improve an allready awesome title track.
More rock, huh? Many say they sound like anime openings. In their Nightmare series, Chase Me, Good Night, Wake Up (b-side, punk), You & I, What, and Piri. Dreamcatcher may be the face of rock in KPOP, but they are doing all kinds of genres. Jazzy, Rocky, EDM and so on
A week has 7 days, and Dreamcatcher has 7 members. So you can pick a different bias for each day 😋
With what's happening in S.Korea right now, I feel like this song takes a whole other layer of meaning.
"Endless night" Rock the second you play it.
I saw them sing this song live and nearly cried because it was so powerful and overwhelming good. It was PHENOMENAL. Their vocals are incredible.
thank you for reacting to dreamcatcher. cant wait for more dreamcatcher reactions ☺️ you'll also like their other songs~
If you want more rock leaning you NEEEEDDD to listen to like their b- side rising, vision , wake up, and scream it’s sooo good I promise

Their title tracks are actually always rock/metal inspired. And some B-sides too. However, they also experiment with other genres on the B-sides.

@BananahRae yes lol it became my favorite title track until "Justice", but yes very mixed reception overall

No More needs more attention, that song cooks so fucking good

If you want more rock from DC and their title track, you might want to check out What, Goodnight, and Vision.
I highly recommend following each story/part and start from Chase me [the beginning: nightmare series] since DC is lore heavy.
We Unis is another album worth reacting. that album gave Unis ROY in Tiktok Korea and KGMA.
Bro i watched u react to anime all the time but seeing dreamcatcher here is totslly unexpected
Super song and super group😍😍😍
They are a kpop girlgroup, not a metal band. They always combine rock with other genres
Hi I suggest Curse of the spider 2024, Demian, 2 Rings and shatter
Please reaction to QWER
QWER is korean girl band
They won the Hot trend award at MMA 2024
Won the Best band award at MAMA 2024 & KGMA🎉
Please next react to kep1er song called Shooting Star !! You became one of my favorite reactors since lovely runner reactions and I enjoy every single video hope you will check on these amazing singers and performers !!
love your reactions man but i am wondering What happened to the brewing love kdrama reactions. I only see episode 1 and 2.
New drama reaction..when?
in my opinion dreamcatcher hasnt had a good title song for ages... the last one i liked was Vision... and before that it was every song (except maison, and yes i know i dislike their most successfull songs,.. but taste is taste...) but up till now they never failed me with their bsides.. so even if i dont like the title track the title tracks ALWAYS make up for it at minimum, at best improve an allready awesome title track.
Love dreamcatcher 🎤💯Because 😤 Fxxx 🤬
