Korea is the real master when it comes to this not even American can competed in this skill of producing movie like Korean action thriller phycology like this
Two little additional details that needs understanding in Korean society: 1) at 30:34, the detective turned to the side with his drink in a cup and everyone got surprised. Because in Korea, there's a tradition that younger, junior person turns away when they take drink so you don't show yourself drinking in front of your elderly/senior person. The detective doing that in front of Jang (the gangster boss) was showing that he was somewhat respecting the boss as his senior in his mind (or he could have done it just out of habit and realized that he did something embarassing). 2) Even though the murderer was sentenced to death, South Korea does not actually execute people (they just delay the execution forever, so it's more like permanent jailing. This has been the custom because UN Human Rights beaureau has been forcing Korea to stop sentencing people to death since Korea had dark history, where military dictators killied people (usually political enemies) legally using death sentence in 1960s-70s.) So the gang boss wanted to finish the murderer in the jail himself, otherwise the murderer would enjoy his peaceful time in jail until he died of old age or illness.
I LOVE this channel ✋💙! (My awesome doctor in the US is Egyptian btw) Can I ask that, if possible, when editing you slow the cuts down in these foreign films so that the captions can be read? They are so fast it’s very hard to follow. (Maybe this movie in particular was exceptionally fast paced). Thank you.
Sake is Japanese. I understand education on racial stereotyping is lacking in certain parts of the world but you should still be more aware about cultural differences if you want to keep making reactions on Asian media.

Do not face each other when drinking with a high-ranking person. The police viewed the gangster as a high-ranking person.
