@weightycarlos Not bad, I used Optimum's video on undervolting ryzen 7000 series which helped a lot. The case is also like 80% perforated steel, so with 2 exhaust fans at the top, the CPU never gets over 70C; even rendering 4k video or image upscaling/denoising. that's fair, the 7600x would have been faster (i think) so if you wanted to use this build for 1440p, it could have been better with a 7600x. However, I would argue that most people building 2000 dollar PC's are playing at 4k, where the cpu matters less. I have a build with a 7600x and a 7800xt and I am not having any bottleneck issues at 1440p and pairs well with my 240hz monitor. (the pc build cost me 1650 dollars). Depends on where you get it from since the owners split. The OG designer latest model is still the v2.1 and they have titanium and two-tone white in stock (fmdworks) as of this comment. The v2.5 is cheaper but slightly lower build quality now that it’s manufactured by Ncase. I wish this was more clear for new customers making a purchase decision.
V2.1 > V2.5 tho Aaand V2.5 is no longer Formd. It’s Ncase T1 The creators of the case have a disagreement. W360 sells Ncase T1 (v2.5), 3FC sells Formd T1 (v2.1)
Can you elaborate? I want to support the original team, but id still like to know what the differences are. Optimum says this one feels very premium, is that the case with V2.1 as well?
@@cosmotect I will split it up into 2 different topics: 1) Ali is no longer a reputable source of information for SFF. He used to pioneer stuff, but right now pretty much all of his builds cause a lot of questions 2) w360 (current Ncase owner, but NOT the designer of the original ncase m1) is full of shit: 1) ncase has terrible support 2) ncase clones products (recent example: travel kit for 4090 FE - it was designed by 3FC, but 1 week later ncase has a similar product on their website) 3) half of the products on ncase website that say “restocking” have never actually been sold 4) if you google Formd, you will find W360’s website (black color scheme) and this page will say “Formd t1 v2.5 is an upgrade over 2.1”. But when you actually click on any product, you get redirected to NCASE website. And on this website you will not see any mentions of Formd. You can make your own conclusions. 5) quality: I don’t know how it can be the case. Even if you watch this video, you can notice a huge bulge of the side panel. Thats something we’ve seen a lot. There is already a meme in the community that W360 should sell this bulge as a feature, because ncase is affected too. If you want some help and opinion from real people, go to SFFHUB discord. There are a lot of people way more experienced and knowledgeable than Ali and they are always happy to help

Dang, this is my dream PC. It's taking me forever to save up though! optimum is defo the best tech channel in Australia! I remember when APC did loads of build guides. I still pick 'em up from time to time, but the magazine became more generic after a while, and lost it's focus on PC build "Masterclasses". (my favourite bit) Similar to when Motor closed down and merged with Wheels... Still a great magazine all the same! AE is a great editor. I feel like this channel is the replacement to the old APC for me. AND it's in Australia, AND the video quality is always top-notch. I do photography and videography, and appreciate all of the work you put into these. The reason I need a new computer is actually because my potato level Surface Pro 8 (8GB RAM 11th Gen i5), simply cannot handle much more than 8 photos in Lightroom ... forget video-editing/Blender/CAD, all of which happen to be things I like to use! Storage is also an issue, lol.
Watching on my Note 8 Phone, but I uave the v2.1, and same exact gpu model in this video too, paried with a 7700x, It's a nice case, and a lot of power too!
I use a gaming laptop, and I've thought of going back to building PCs again. I liked my gaming laptop because it was a space saver, and now that I see that a mini gaming PC is viable, I'll definitely shoot for a build like this! I always loved that with a PC, you could always upgrade parts easily, not so much with a laptop
I will probably never be able to build such setup but I love watching these videos, probably because of the production quality. There's something special about these clean looking compact build. And I love the 4080, 3080 more than the the other models, has nice ring to it. Will try to build this type of system 6yrs down the line, If the personal economy favors the purchase.
How do these exhaust fans compare to the T30s in your other build? I wouldn't mind having just the fans RGB for a bit of subtle light. But don't wanna sacrifice too much cooling especially in a SFF build...
Absolutely love your videos. The camera-work, lighting, and vibe are all so relaxing whilst the rest of the video remains so informative. I wanted to give you a quick pointer: at 8:12 you mentioned how the i5 14400F runs higher than the quoted TDP, and then show the HWInfo stats of 100W. TDP stands for 'Thermal Design Power', and refers to the amount of heat generated by the CPU under maximum load (in Watts). It's a different metric to the chip's *power consumption* (which is what HWInfo shows) - it's confusing that both are measured in Watts. Ultimately it doesn't matter too much here, but it's worth noting for anyone else building a PC to make sure they don't base their Power Supply choice on the TDP value of a chip, rather than it's actual Power Usage.
It's crazy how good itx cases have gotten. I didnt want to do too much work on my build plus I wanted my 4090 to have some extra air to breathe so I followed your nr200p max build from a while back. But now we have even smaller cases like this or the terra which are even smaller and still cool the highest end components.
Nice! I got the v2.1 of this case in black thanks to you, with a 7700x, asus B650E-I, and the same Zotac Trinity 4080 Super! A lot of performance, i can play Cyberpunk pathtracing no problem! Edit: Well then! I didn't know you could use the included 12VHPWR adpater! Even then, still glad I went with a custom DreamBigByRay cable, I would fear the fire hazard too much
choosing between the Formd T1 and the CoolerMaster Ncore 100 max, I chose the latter. Less hassle to install everything and very neat look. Everything just fits and is prepared. Was a truly good experience
I find going the a4-h2o build with 240 AIO + 2x T30 fans far superior way. Way better cooling for the CPU with very minimal increase in the volume. But not gonna lie, T1 case looks more premium.

Try as they might, big companies like Fractal try to copy and fall flat on their face.
shame it's only available in black!
@@StatikXero I had no clue, thanks for this.
@@StatikXero do you not recommend the Ncase one? I'm trying to get my hands on one of these but they're scarce.
I guess my comment got deleted.
Short answer is no.
Spend the extra ~$25 and the restock time is worth the wait.
Id love to see one of these with no trade offs. Just the best PC you could build in the ITX case
V2.1 > V2.5 tho
Aaand V2.5 is no longer Formd. It’s Ncase T1
The creators of the case have a disagreement.
W360 sells Ncase T1 (v2.5), 3FC sells Formd T1 (v2.1)
Can you elaborate?
I want to support the original team, but id still like to know what the differences are. Optimum says this one feels very premium, is that the case with V2.1 as well?
@@cosmotect I will split it up into 2 different topics:
1) Ali is no longer a reputable source of information for SFF. He used to pioneer stuff, but right now pretty much all of his builds cause a lot of questions
2) w360 (current Ncase owner, but NOT the designer of the original ncase m1) is full of shit:
1) ncase has terrible support
2) ncase clones products (recent example: travel kit for 4090 FE - it was designed by 3FC, but 1 week later ncase has a similar product on their website)
3) half of the products on ncase website that say “restocking” have never actually been sold
4) if you google Formd, you will find W360’s website (black color scheme) and this page will say “Formd t1 v2.5 is an upgrade over 2.1”.
Is he building with the v2.1 or v2.5 lol
@@cosmotect my 2.1 is insanely premium. i can't compare to the 2.5 as i haven't seen one. i'm sure it's as nice as ali says, but i chose the 2.1 because it's the original guy and the ncase / formdt1works guy is apparently shady
@@michaelpiper4067 cool, thanks :k
I'm trying to make the transition from a big case like Lian Li O11 to something like this one presented in your video. Optimizing space is a priority as I get older so thank you for this video. It will surely be an inspiration for my next small case build.
2000$ , well the 7800x3D is out off my budget. LMAO
Why do you like small things ?
?
Complex topics are broken down so easily. Everything is made so understandable.
bulge on the right side panel at 0:03
I got the MicroStrike PC on MicroPowerPC and I absolutely love it. Incredible build quality, and super powerful. Probably the best PC I've ever had.
There's no Tracer in this video :(
This channel has grown so much. Gratz
1 view in 12s. Bro fell off 😔
Studio looking CLEAN 👀
Watching this on my T1 V1.1 here. First ITX build and so happy with it
Watching on my Note 8 Phone, but I uave the v2.1, and same exact gpu model in this video too, paried with a 7700x, It's a nice case, and a lot of power too!
Just watched your Mute Episode 3 from 5 years ago. 717 likes. You've come a long way. Congrats! Also, you're not super pale anymore.
Crazy build looks absoulutely clean
a beast ITX build from Optimum felt long overdue. LETS GOOO
The editing in these videos is next level
If its Optimum, you know the vid is gonna be clean. Although would like to see an ATX build in the future❤
Im sure you've been made aware of this. NCASE has your video on their website under this case.
dude watching your video is so relaxing
Yea watchn this legend for years. He taught me to undervolt gpus way back. 2080 2070 ti days
I like the way the white RGB ram shines through. Very cool and subtle.
Miss your mini itx videos and builds, we need more!
8:02 darn it, no link below. Gotta do intensive research now (opening a new tab and searching it up)
love seeing some SFF PC videos. My dream case is still the Velkase Velka 3. one day
I will probably never be able to build such setup but I love watching these videos, probably because of the production quality. There's something special about these clean looking compact build. And I love the 4080, 3080 more than the the other models, has nice ring to it. Will try to build this type of system 6yrs down the line, If the personal economy favors the purchase.
The builds are insane. I love watching all these different builds you do.
the only youtuber i have post notifications on for ❤
How do these exhaust fans compare to the T30s in your other build? I wouldn't mind having just the fans RGB for a bit of subtle light. But don't wanna sacrifice too much cooling especially in a SFF build...
Have you got a response ? I am thinking about the same thing I don't know which fans to buy between T30s and RGB Mobius.
@@raphisteaule nah I just went T30 to be safe. Pretty good. Bit of an uneven hum though, maybe the noctuas would’ve been better…
This is a awesome pc build bro 😎
Nothing is more satisfying than watching ITX model PC being built.
Amazing video as always! Much love from the UK
Even then, still glad I went with a custom DreamBigByRay cable, I would fear the fire hazard too much
Incredibly condensed build. I love it!
I realy love your Videos. They are never disappointing
another amazing high quality video, super informative and clear 🔥🔥
choosing between the Formd T1 and the CoolerMaster Ncore 100 max, I chose the latter. Less hassle to install everything and very neat look. Everything just fits and is prepared.
Was a truly good experience
Seasonic PSUs. Its not even a competition. Awesome video!
I find going the a4-h2o build with 240 AIO + 2x T30 fans far superior way. Way better cooling for the CPU with very minimal increase in the volume. But not gonna lie, T1 case looks more premium.
Yeh I just built in the H2O but I’m still damn tempted by the T1!! Especially that rare as hens teeth white version
