Wyatt is not your typical 14 year old. As a student of guitar and certain percussions he is a lover of music. Like actual Real music. He's an old soul and he appreciates it when he hears it. So fun for me. He'll take vinyl over digital any day. 🤘😁🤘
Roy Khan, coolest voice ever. Been a fan of Kamelot since 2002. More of their songs to check out, Forever (Live) and The Haunting (featuring Simone from Epica, Live and Official Music Video).
Kamelot were formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987. They have had a few vocalists over the years with Roy Khan here being one of them. The keyboard player here, Oliver Palotai, is the husband of the band Epica lead singer, Simone Simons. Epica also took their name from the sixth album of Kamelot and Simone has duetted wit Roy on the track 'The Haunting (Somewhere in time)'.
Great request,Great reaction! Thanks for doing it and requesting it.BTW, as a 40 year fan of Maiden I got a big smile with the “Maiden shirt!” I do that all the time...lol.Up the Irons!
This was an awesome show. All songs in this DVD show...is the best, throw a dart. But I'd suggest when lights go out...awesome. but it's GOT TO BE with ROY KAHN. Geoff tate esque
Kamelot are an amazing band, the singer in this video Roy Khan left the band around 2012, the current singer is Tommy Karevik another incredible singer
This live performance is from the DVD "One Cold Night", the during this performance is considered the prime of the Kahn Era of Kamelot. This song is about Elizabeth Bathory, which was a brutal Queen in the Eastern side of Europe and also to some is considered a "real vampire" as she drink the blood young virgin women from the local villages until her imprisonment.
Thanks very much guys ! One of my all time favorites !! Roy Khan is so so passionate with his performances !! Just a bit of trivia, the keyboardist is married to Simone Simons from Epica !
Not only are those two married, she got the name for her band from Kamelot's album, Epica! Just thought I'd throw that out there. To me, and I love all of their albums, Karma, Epica and The Black Halo, are my favorites. Put them on and listen to them straight through, one after the other. DAMN! Rock On Roy!
Thank you again for reacting to this one. I am back among the living for about a week now. Son and wife pulled through OK without any lasting effects other than still no sense of smell. My quarantined to my little corner of the house worked...still undefeated against the 'rona! Sooooo much good Kamelot stuff out there. I will truly enjoy watching this "rabbit hole" journey. I would like to suggest concentrating on the "Khan" years before getting to the current stuff. But that is just my personal opinion. Tommy Karevik is a good singer and works very well with the band. I have seen Kamelot open for Nightwish and Sabaton as well as headline their own tour. They are a great band live. I am thrilled that you both loved this one and look forward to more Kamelot reactions. Cheers my brothers.
Found out about this band several years ago thanks to a brief comment to a tragic love story: "Kamelot - Love You to Death". Although sceptical about the band's name, I looked that song up. Needless to say, that was one of the best musical discoveries I've ever made))
I got to know Kamelot some years ago - all songs I listened to were with Tommy, I like his voice very much (Insomnia or Liar Liar), later I found the songs with Roy. Both singers are really good.
Roy has had to retire due to illness, which is a real shame. His voice is wonderful. The "new" lead singer lives in Calgary, and until recently was a fireman. His voice is similar to Roy's. I'm in Toronto, and am what's known as "at risk" because my roommate and I are on disability with various health issues. And darn it, folks in Ontario are being stupid! My roommate and I aren't social butterflies, but we used to be able to do our own shopping and see a doctor. No one is seeing a doctor in Ontario unless its in an emergency room . We have everything delivered. We go to the drug store if necessary. I'll be going through a barrage of medical testing as soon as another health issue gets sorted out. Ontario's numbers are too high. And I may not be able to have a vaccine due to allergies. But we are lucky. We don't work, we CAN have most of what we need delivered. We have very limited contact with the world beyond our door. We live through our laptops. Stay healthy, wash your hands, wear a mask. Don't behave like Canadians!
Love the band. Saw them twice in the Netherlands with Roy Khan as the lead vocalist. It's a pity he had to leave the band. Tommy Karevik does an outstanding job as a replacement, allthough I prefer Roy. Suggestion: *_"The Haunting"_* with Simone Simons from EPICA: ua-cam.com/video/RsMXxxDMFYY/v-deo.html
Love you Channel, you two know how to do a proper reaction video. You Set up the song or video, listen to it and its entirety non interrupted, then you give your thoughts and comments... that's how it's done great job. I will watch more from you guys. But if I may request or recommend the next kamelot, it's from this same show.- When the lights go down or throw a dart they're all masterpieces... that is when Roy Khan is that the helm
Thank y'all for not being one of those reaction channels that pauses every 5 Seconds and just speak as you have comments and let the video play... I now will subscribe. That said, Elizabeth is a song of about a true person of history back when Queen Elizabeth try to keep a fountain of youth of sorts by taking the blood of young servant girls and bathing in it. This is the mighty Roy Khan, he's now has his original band before he sang with Camelot... Check out some of his new videos of his band conception... nowadays the band kamelot Don't Come Close without the golden voice of Roy Khan. I won't even listen to Camelot without Roy
If you are impressed by Kamelot (and one should be) .. You will be even more impressed by Project Aegis -- And The Rest is Mystery .. Featuring Daniel Heiman ..
Hey guys, just checked your playlist and seen that you guys react to Some bluegrass.I would love to see you react to the band Iron Horse. They have 2 Metallica cover albums they have recorded. The 2 songs I suggest would be The 4 horsemen audio version or Enter Sandman which they have a video for.I think they will blow your mind.
Yes Sir we do. Here's a fun fact for you. We have hung out with The Iron Horse guys. Great guys. We've been talking about doing a review to a couple of their covers maybe sharing our experience with the band.
@@PositiveCrunch That’s awesome! Not a lot of people know about them but I’ve been a fan for 10 or so years. They definitely deserve to be showcased.Too much greatness to be ignored by the world.Have you listened to any Ghoultown? They are a Texas Horror Punk/Spaghetti Western band.Best way to describe their music is a concoction of The Misfits/Marty Robbins/Johnny Cash. You should check out their song/video Drink with the living dead to get a good feel of their sound.I’m 51 years old so I’ve been a music lover for a long time and Ghoultown is my #2 all time favorite band just behind Iron Maiden.
While this was with Roy Khan singing, the new guy Tommy Karevik is also really good. Just less of an opera-style voice and more of '70s rock singer w/gymnastic voice for Tommy. Also check out Tommy Karevik's 'other' band, Seventh Wonder. Seventh Wonder - Tiara's Song (official video) Seventh Wonder - Against The Grain (acoustic version official video)

this kid is a legend, after few minutes he realizes everything that Khan is, respect dude!

I believe she bathed in the blood not drank it. Although she may have done both
fun fact, Kamelot's keyboard player Oliver Palotai is married to Simone from Epica

So glad I came across this!! I really gotta start listening to them again

Roy Khan's voice is heaven to my ears ... You need to listen to Human stain or Ghost Opera by them next
Now you gotta hit Kamelot Ghost Opera
