@@MattFarkas I went to the show the following year in 2007 at that exact same venue(Sentrum Scene in Oslo). Prime Roy was just built different. Glad to see he's back with Conception creating music again.
Having seen him multiple times, Roy is a very charismatic and theatrical frontman. His stage presence is mesmerizing. I like Tommy as well, but to me Roy is the embodiment of what Kamelot is.
Oh man, I'm such a Roy fangirl. He's just arresting. I'd recommend, not for reaction (although I'd be thrilled if you'd do more Roy/Kamelot reactions) you to listen to Epica (the album). It's actually a part I of a concept story, and part II of the story is The black halo album, they go perfectly together. Also, idk if you know, Roy's a performer (finally!) on the new Star One album. He sings a song called Lost children of the universe, and also features Steve Vai on the guitar. There's a version w two main vocalists, Roy and Tony Martin, and also a version w only Roy which is my preferred one :D
Anything by Kamelot starting with 4th Legacy and later is really good and worth listening too. Couldn't believe it when you said you where a fan but had never listened to Karma and earlier material. My favorite Kamelot album is Epica, hopefully you have listened to that one, pretty much their masterpiece IMO.
Hey all, i recently created and uploaded 4K versions of "Forever" and "The Haunting" from this concert. Enjoy: ua-cam.com/video/TYtT1aOUB9k/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/r-oM6I4HR4c/v-deo.html
That "actress"/singer is Mari Youngblood, Thomas'(the guitarist) wife. She's on stage with Kamelot quite much, and also one of the backing vocalists on a number of albums.
Thanks for Kamelot, which I saw twice in the Netherlands. Talking about "the Netherlands", watch another live performance from Kamelot (Roy Khan) with Simone Simons (Epica) - *_"The Haunnting"_* : ua-cam.com/video/RsMXxxDMFYY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Metallwish Btw. And yes, Roy was also my favorite singer. Btw2. Simone Simons with married to the keyboard player of Kamelot, Oliver Palotai. Btw3. And if you want to see/watch a great interaction between the band and the crowwd, the German band called *BLIND GUARDIAN* live at Wacken 2016 with *_”The Bard’s Song & Valhalla”_* : ua-cam.com/video/i-IcX_bccFc/v-deo.html
Je recommande la nouvelle chanson fantastique de Diana Ankudinova!! Vous ne regretterez pas!!! «Can’t Help Falling in Love» ua-cam.com/video/M-znD6QKbrg/v-deo.html
That was excellent! One of my favorite songs and singers! Khan Rocks! How about a Dream Theater reaction? Home, The Count of Tuscany, The Glass Prison, to name a few. Thanks!
I'd love to, except I'm a big fan of DT already so I know all those songs haha. If I did a DT reaction, it would have to be to some of their newer music (I dropped off the train a bit when Portnoy left) or possibly a really old one.
@@MattFarkas oh, ok! Newer music from newer to the oldest post Portnoy...Sleeping Giant, Answering the Call (8string) At Wits End, Breaking All Illusions.
Considering the subject matter it's quite an upbeat song! I wish they had performed it more live, I've seen them 5 times with Roy Khan and I think 2x with Tommy. Only got to hear it once. But my favorite song by theirs did sneak into the tracklist quite a few times. Sailorman's Hymn has lost me my voice more than anything else! Also, Roy is a good dude, wrote him a letter, and he actually wrote one back, very kind and very supportive. I will forever miss him in Kamelot but Tommy is doing a great job and Roy is doing his own thing in Conception again.
karma is best album from kamelot for me..ppl react only few songs from that album..like..karma,forever and elizabeth...and so many gems on that album are underated...if you split all that songs from karma album and put into other kamelot albums..each of these songs will be one of the best songs they have on that album for sure...karma is like 4th legacy on steroids...perfect power metal album from start to finish..cheers
Discovered your channel recently and loving the range of artists you check out. Would love to see you check out some music from twenty one pilots, think you might enjoy their song Jumpsuit
Hmm...well I'm very familiar with Pink Floyd, so probably wouldn't be great for reaction vids. AC/DC, I know their hits so it would have to be a deeper cut. If you have any suggestions let me know!
One of my favorite songs by them, and Roys vocals are just amazing in this performance 😀
I believe the woman on stage is Thomas Youngblood's wife (who also contributes vocals on Kamelot's albums:)
One of my biggest regrets in life will always be not seeing Kamelot live with Roy.
Same. I've seen them with Tommy and they were fantastic, but it would be amazing to see Roy perform with them again.

@@YTDSS was that the year he brought his granpa on stage? Cus that show was amazing 👍

This song gets better each time I listen to it and it's been a hundred times so far.
The singer is Mari Youngblood, Thomas's wife.

Roy is still active with his band Conception, I did know him from them before he joined Kamelot.
He's such an amazing vocalist.
The MIGHTY KAHN!!...Glad he's back in the game. Waited long time now he's back with his original line up before kamelot...."CONCEPTION"

The 4th Legacy and Black Halo for me. Love those albums.

I'd recommend "The Count of Tuscany" by Dream Theater as well. Kind of a similar format, but I also like how they did it

I think I said that? Maybe later in the video? lol. But yeah, super talented woman!
Yes! Roy spirit of kamelot ..
Love part ii. Requiem for the innocent.

Priceless... timeless...
Best songs from Kamelot are their older ones with Roy.
Agreed!
Should react to some Conception (Roy's Band before Kamelot), recommend A Million Gods, or live version of Roll the Fire from the 90s.
