Just wanted to say thanks for helping me fix the exact issue I had, literally the perfect video. I'm experienced with Rhino but only just started with V-ray for a project and I'm really going from one issue to the next. I like your channel as well, subbed!
That's the best way to learn though! Keep coming across problems and finding the solutions. You'll learn extremely quickly doing what you are by throwing yourself in. Thanks so much for watching and subbing, see you around the place!
you're a hero! Thank you! i'm a rhino user and this issue takes a lot of my time, i actually have to install sketch up to assign the right materials and render. Imagine the bulbous bow when converted in SketchUp!
Hi Bailey, you're welcome! Thanks for watching. You can change the material settings in the asset browser from what I can remember by editing the actual texture. A quick google should solve it if you can't figure it out! Good luck
Explanation is really amazing I was also searching for this problem but the problem is more complicated when we make our own material . How we will calculate dimensions of that material as you also show in the video that the dimension of mapping image is already known us in V-Ray materials.
Thanks Rashi. I believe you would need to go back to the texture file (whether it be a photoshop file or similar) and find the dimensions of the image from there. I hope that helps
I don't understand what he means exactly with the 500, but I tested something. If I work in centimeters and the texture (brick) is 100 cm and then do a box mapping and set the value (width, height, depth) to 100 and then measure the bricks then it works with the measurements so far.
Doesn't work. I'm guessing there might be a setting in Vray that needs to be made for the box mapping to apply, but I can't find anything. I've honestly never used software with worse documentation than Vray. It's unbelievable at times. Thanks for showing what worked for you though.

Kudos!
Your mean 100 cm / 500
(500 the meaning is scale for geometri)
And why 1000/500
Can you explain
