    Dude, I love how there are just 5 objects and a light! And you're good to go! :D
    Also, gracias for the links!

    By far the best materials creation tutorial for rhino and Vray, and I have seen a lot! Thanks from Colombia

    Thank you so much!!! the best video about material for vray/rhino! Id like to see something like quartz stone in a object...

    Roughness map doesn’t go into diffuse roughness slot and ambient occlusion doesn’t go into the reflection slot. Just put reflection to complete white. This is the physically correct way to do it.

      Also at 12:12 the normal map needs the green channel to be flipped. You can see the light hitting the paving stones on the wrong side.

    • @danielkuzev4992
      @danielkuzev4992  8 місяців тому +1

      You’re quite possibly right, but then I look at the results and I’m pretty happy with it. And I am a big fan of not putting the AO map at all, especially on larger projects since you’re removing an entire map that needs to be loaded.
      As for the normal, I don’t know mate. Some companies give you the DX and the OpenGL normals and there you can see an inversion of the details… but here it looked pretty spot on.

      @@danielkuzev4992 yeah the best way to do it is: make it look good, that's all that matters in the end. nobody is looking at a picture wondering in which slot you put which map.

    • @NarcisusCrew
      @NarcisusCrew 5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah the AO map should go in the Diffuse channel. Right Click diffuse channel -> Wrap In -> Mix Operator -> put AO in slot B -> choose Multiply option

    thx a lot man,, very useful, More More More.... Could you show us how the procedural textures work, or making of complex materials with stacking more layers on each other ...

    • @danielkuzev4992
      @danielkuzev4992  Рік тому

      Hi Julian, I am happy you found it useful. Procedural is definitely on its way, but not before I cover the basics first. Next stop will be how to make infinite materials without the "carpet" effect (somewhat procedural I suppose haha)

    Nice tutorial!! What’s the difference between normal and bump map?

    • @danielkuzev4992
      @danielkuzev4992  Рік тому +2

      Thaaaanks! The high level answer is that morals just work better, haha. The bump map is black and white (white goes up, black goes down), and for some reason doesn't give you the results you can expect with a normal map. Also, from experience, for most cases, bringing in the normal map and leaving the value at 1 work like a charm, especially if you're in a rush. I am fine-tuning it in the video, but if you want to go quick... just leave it at 1.

    Great video ! I was wondering if you can tell me where the “specular” map goes. I’m really struggling to find an answer online

    • @danielkuzev4992
      @danielkuzev4992  Рік тому

      Hey Riccardo. That's a simple one: nowhere :D . In reality you don't need an additional map to take up more memory for each material you create, and what you get from following my steps is as realistic as it gets. I don't know what your setup is, but if you want to cut down even more the maps to use, you can skip the AO map and set the slider to white. All of this is just optional of course. Have fun!

      @@danielkuzev4992 Thanks for the reply ! I totally get what you mean but I was asking because the website I use for texture provides only diffuse, displacement, normal, AO and specular map and I was not sure where to put AO and specular. Usually I mix diffuse and AO and use specular as reflection glossiness / roughness. Let me know what you think !

    how could we handle the time of render
    like if you can do a render for a full project with lighting + materials and camers in rhino then setting it will be great

    • @danielkuzev4992
      @danielkuzev4992  Рік тому

      I am seeing this a bit late. But one thing you could try is to use the Nvidia denoiser. It works miracles. Another thing, use the same material in as many objects as possible. Also don’t use 4K textures unless you ABSOLUTELY need them. And finally, use blocks in rhino. So it loads the geometry once rather than tens or hundreds of times (ex. Having the same window all over the place)

    Hi Daniel , Love your work! Just wondering what replacement we can use if we don't have the ambient occlusion map? I have albedo,displacement, normal and roughness only. thanks for your time

      @danielkuzev4992  23 дні тому

      Hi,
      I am glad you find the video useful.
      In the cases where I don't have an occlusion map, I just set the colour to white. The difference is small enough to go unnoticed unless you're really looking for it.

    Hi! I followed your tutorial but I just installed Vray, maybe there is some setting that I don't have as you, maybe is my computer, but following your steps, even when the render is "finished", my material, any material I'm using, doesn't look like yours. I'm trying to get as realistic as possible on my renders, but the quality is not even close to yours. Any idea of what can it be? Thanks in advance!
