I'm in The United States and had numerous pieces of mail to go to Canada. I asked the person at the post office how much 1st Class postage was for Canada. After digging around in the back room for a couple minutes, she came back and told me I needed to use Canadian postage. ........... I was looking around for Alan Funt and the hidden camera.
Twice I was witness to a ridiculous situation and interjected myself while singing the Candid Camera song. I even had them looking and waving for the hidden camera that wasn't there. Both times it lightened the mood and sent everyone away smiling.
I used to have to deal with the people who thought that the handicapped parking spot in front of their house was “theirs.” They would call and complain if someone else parked in their spot.
One disabled person I know had stickers made she could get someone to put on offending cars' windscreens saying "you've taken my parking place. Would you like my disability too?" We went to the cinema together one afternoon and some guy's pickup truck was parked in the only disabled bay. There was a bar opposite so we asked the staff if they knew who the pickup truck belonged to. Several minutes later a guy who'd been drinking at the bar emerged,red-faced with embarrassment, and removed said pickup truck.
in front of our house is considered public property. i have never considered it to my own private parking area. the only place that's "mine" is my driveway.
The houses might look like the 70s-80s but I don't know how you could look at the clothes, hair styles, vehicles and general quality of the video and think it was the 70s-80s! 😂
Oh, no! The episode I saw where the people got most upset, including an older woman, was when Burger King agreed to say they wouldn't be selling their Whoppers anymore 😯Most drove away mad before they had a chance to explain it was a joke 🎥😁🤭
Wow when she pulled the handle and opened that man's door... while he's angry and telling you not to say more and he's trying to exit himself from the situation ... that's risky P.S. great skit though! It makes me miss the good old suburbs!
You'd find that female interrogators are very effective against men. A smart woman knows how to breakdown any barrier a man might put up to guard himself.
Or if there's that one person who lives on that street, and happens to have a bulldozer or steamroller or something that they park outside their house, and decide to put it to use on a certain freshly-installed item?
In the 1990's the city installed a bus stop right outside my boss' house (without a driveway) while he was taking a nap on his couch. He woke up to a parking ticket.
Some neighborhoods here strictly prohibit street parking, and tow trucks actively patrol the area to enforce the rules. A friend of mine went to water someone’s garden while they were away and returned to find their car had been towed. This isn’t a government regulation-it’s the result of housing developments cramming as many homes as possible into tight spaces, leaving little room for proper streets. Honestly, I’d take paying a toll over dealing with a tow!
If you have a driveway or garage you really should use them for your vehicle or vehicles. Every time I drive through a neighborhood everyone is parked on the street and their driveways are empty.
Reality is actually worse. Here they just passed a law that bans idling your car to warm it up in the morning on cold days. There is like a 5 minute restriction or you get fined, and fines go up to $100,000.
FYI, Although this seem Ridiculous and Unethical. It is actually Legal! The Street, The Curb AND The Sidewalk are property of the Municipality.🤔 (and YOU The Taxpayer so....)
Funny, yet a good idea. Lesser cars, less traffic. (Edit) A car should be required to either have a driveway or a garage. If you don't have neither and don't wanna pay to park, don't get a vehicle then.
You guys laugh, but I see that in the future of California. We all know how much money they need here specially here in Los Angeles county. Please don’t give them anymore ideas.
The first guy is right. When parking gets tight, the right move is to start charging for it so there's always an open space. These homeowners do not own the public space in front of their house, so if the city decides drivers need to pay to park there, there is nothing wrong with that.
@@chrisatkins7959 You don't have a right to store your 5,000 lb machine in the middle of a public park. Agreed? You also don't have a right to store your 5,000 lb machine on the street unless the city permits it.
