I'm a huge Toxik fan. I was so excited when I found out they were making a new studio album after, how many years!?!? 1. World Circus 2. Think This 3. Dis Morta (obviously this wasn't going to touch the classics, but it's still good to have).
I remember reading a review of Think This in Metal Hammer, the year it came out,and in the end the reviewer said that "this reminds me of a thrashier Queensryche and there really are no higher praise",i fully agree with that, and with your ranking,i would also have put them like that!
This was unexpected, reviewing Underground US Metal. Toxik is killer.Great that you reviwed them. Please, please continue with 80-s undergrround stuff. Lizzy borden, agent steel, Liege Lord,Chastain, Abattoir, Savage Grace, S.A.Slayer...
Had never heard of this band before 2022 last year. I think it might have been Metal Trenches who had Dis Morta as a top 10 album of the year. I checked it out and was blown away. I love the vocals and the guitar playing - chef's kiss. Definitely looking forward to listening to these even better albums from more than 30 years ago! Thanks.
Such a great band, agree that it is basically impossible to choose between World Circus and Think This. Wishing Josh a smooth full recovery and a welcome return to The Netherlands awaits.
I think I heard some of their songs. Need to check Toxik. Pete, maybe you know this band but if no I can recommend Vektor from Arizona. It is one of those new thrash metal bands from 2000s-2020s. Very weird but such an interesting compilation of ideas from progressive death and thrash metal bands from 80s and 90s.
Great job Pete I remember getting their first album as a teenager and blasted it for the whole summer,I know your ranking list must be a mile long but if you ever get a chance I would recommend the band Old man's Child a underappreciated black metal band that don't get alot of attention, but some of my favorite albums were by them Galder is the mastermind behind the band ,often get overlooked or lumped in with dimmu borgir but in my opinion old man's Child were always better band ,anyways keep up the good work 👍
Absolutely love these guys, Thrashy music at it's best. I would absolutely love a Tankard discography ranking if you're into that tectonic thrash style
World Circus is oddly one of my favorite albums of all time, sadly i never found a band quite similar to this one, specially one that has the same style of the first album, also the high pitch vocals are awesome
Love Toxik so much. To say that there were 33 years between releases is a little bit of a misrepresentation though. They did a string of EPs starting in the mid 2010s that are a good bridge between Think This and Dis Morta (I think if more people listened to those, they would understand the intention behind Dis Morta a little more). Breaking Class in particular is an amazing track that is very much in the vein of World Circus (title track). They also did a re-recording album with 2 new tracks in 2020 with most of the same lineup from Dis Morta and both of those 2 new tracks were great too
A band I knew but hadn't heard. I'm catching up. Pete You could make a Ranking with the 10 best Beatles solo albums. among the vast solo career of Ringo, Paul, John and George.
There are so many great bands you have brought to my attention that I otherwise probably wouldn't have heard of . Thank you . I love this channel .

Agree with you on this one. "Think this" is a very unique thrash metal release. "There stood the fence" make me think of my childhood. Nostalgic feel

Pete rules! 🤘

🌠Alright..& Band Photo @ the Hudson River....
Gamma Ray (with Rich Catino, Bryce or whoever)?
I remember swapping 'World Circus' for 6 cans of Harp lager. Simpler times
Love Dis Morta! ❤
Hi, Pete. Can you rank Mortal Infinity?
I did not know they reunited recently. Other than that, same ranking for me.
Hi Pete I went on iTunes and find a album called Wasteland from (2021) and a album called III Works from (2023)
Vletchmoore is a shadower. See character to name.
Sunk his cover by today. A shadower no Finks or rocks.
Nice t-shirt
1) World Circus
2) Think This
3) Dis Morta
There’s only 2 albums but will you rank Watchtower because you mentioned them in this video.
I loved Think This. World Circus was ok but the vocalist on that one was too much for me. Will have to listen to the latest one
Charles Sabine was great on think this
Charlie Fuckin Sabin!!!
Exactly. Easily the best of their vocalists
Only three albums. 😂 Can’t be too hard! All three are excellent though, so it’s all good.
I've heard of these guys Slik Toxik - Doin the Nasty.
What does Slik Toxik have to do with this, lol
I prefer World Circus over Think This. Wanna fight me about it?
A band I knew but hadn't heard.
I'm catching up.
Pete

What about the US progressive rock group CAIRO from San Francisco??
All three of their albums are killer❤
