Fantastic little camper the motorhome man in Shropshire is currently selling a 63 plate at 23 grand and worth every penny in my opinion very very well made
Pretty nice but anytime I see the bed or sink counter all away to the seats and high to the neck or headrest I hope nope but must accidents are from rear, I just see one thing ( crush, spinal injury, impale or decapitation ,I mean a has to be other more secure shorter or foldable ways than build things all away touching behind the seats. Good luck
Wonderful camper perfect for a senior, looks like you could sleep on the couch I’m 5 foot four and 130 pounds so then I could pull the little toilet out if necessary at night & Not disturb my bed if so I want this!!!!
I do know where is this obsession about having a big kitchen and even a portable toilet in such a small car coming from? Almost no space for sleeping neither space for clothes and other gears but a beautiful kitchen with a smelly toilet. So nice..... Perhaps this is good for a fisherman- for one-day trip only but surely that can not be called a camper.
Brilliant and excellent craftsmanship!! I’m trying to convert my combo 53 plate not a hightop and it’s driving me nuts ... I’d love this van tbh but can imagine it won’t be cheap .. and to right it’s well worth a few bob
Thank you Joe, i have just developed a hightop for this vehicle as well so for those who cant find a high top version this is now an option. Many thanks for watching
Small but perfectly formed, Splendid! and as you say plenty of storage, think the fact there is no side door gives it a simplicity and allows the full Kitchen cabinet. Basic 12 Volt video would be good. What is the drop-out hole for?
Nice conversion. Given how incredibly tight for space it is using a van this size, have you looked into whether you could swivel the front seats as that would give you so much more space to play with?
Mark Houghton The front cab seats sit lower than the back half which wont allow us to do that unfortunately but would have made a massive difference if we could. Many thanks for watching
Wonder if that's the same for all small vans? I'm very tempted to convert a Transit Connect next as they seem to be excellent on MPG and the crew cab versions are quite big.
The table sits behind the passenger seat at the end of the kitchen and no the seats dont swivel as they are lower down in the cab. Many thanks for watching
Very nice but one problem, when the bed is pulled out and made up for sleeping I don't think anybody would be able to use the porta potti at night with this design. It would have been better I think to make the kitchen are slighty shorter at the rear of the van so that the porta potti could be put in the corner at the back facing the front so it could still be used at night with the bed pulled out and I would assume that people would sleep with there heads at the opposite end to the doors and feet to the doors so with the window where it is after using the porta potti the window could be opened slightly to let any smells out and you could even have a lid that comes down on to the porta potti which has a gasket type seal underneath trapping smells inside and the porta potti would be out of sight when not in use.
Philip Butcher Hi Philip every camper we make is built to the customers specification so if you decide to have one built then thats what i will do for you. All the panels are bespoke layouts and no 2 are the same. Many thanks for watching
I like it. it looks very simple to fold the bed away to use the potti. if camping alone. throw the narrow mattress on top of the other, &slide Half of the bed away. Most times you would use a campsite toilet, or a petrol stn'. and some kind of liquid container or jar or bottle . the potti, would be for emergency use or wild camping . that size van is more likely to be used by a single occupant on most occasions. ( i would think ?) A couple who used it a lot would probably have a larger van. You could carry a very small tent for the potti ? Or wild camping use it outside if there were 2 persons in the van ? I like it i could make it work fine. there are plenty of 24 hour supermarkets, & petrol Stn's everywhere with toilets, Mway services have showers also. This size of van is good for short breaks away from home, for making Hot drinks & hot snacks etc. when you are too far from home on a job to commute, or late finish & early start at work. Someone commented very good for Fishermen to Have a sleep, & cook warm food, Or similar hobbies.. or those with Restricted parking at home, Narrow streets full of parked cars where a larger van would be a problem. fullsize campers are Massive to fit in a driveway. and are very wide , + the Height problem in car parks when used as general transport. Big vans are not allowed in some places, or you pay more site fees, and use more fuel. Small Vans have advantages. Without the windows you could stealth camp in a van that size and less likely to get spotted ! It would be very easy to be almost invisible in that van if you wanted to be.
@@A1DJPaul Absolutely. I use the porta potti for emergencies. When camped, I would be inclined to put a car port type awning on the vehicle rear doors to keep the porta potti, should you need to get up in the night.
Hi Dan Thanks for NEC stand info. Just a couple more questions, will you have vans there to look around to see your handy work & what van do you consider to be the best used for micro conversions & the next size up i.e. VW T6???? Never really been a fan of Fiat per say but that's just me!! Kind regards Paul
@@paulm5230 Hi Paul, We will have a Nu Rio to view but all the Panel van conversions i make are customers own vehicles so they wont be there unfortunately. As for base vehicles i really like the new shape doblo, the transit custom and the VW T6 but they are personal preferences. Hope this helps and many thanks for watching. Dan
This one is sold as the video is quite old now but I've just completed another microcamper with an Electric Elevating roof. ua-cam.com/video/vTAqnzEJtwY/v-deo.html Many thanks for watching

This looks fantastic - I recently bought a combo and I've been feeling a little disheartened with how little space there is in the back.. I would love to make the bed similar to this without the kitchen etc. I just want something to sleep in really and make a cuppa outside on a camping stove. Any tips for a first timer on a budget? X
If that's all your needing then it shouldn't cost that much to do to be honest. If you would like to send over some details as to what you would like then please forward it to me at dtm321tube@gmail.com Many thanks for watching
Any size person could stand on it, but it's not recommended haha as for standing up in it then no a person of that size could not stand up straight. Many thanks for watching
I really like how you've done this - my next vehicle going to be an electric vauxhall e-combo and perhaps will convert it but maybe not go to the trouble of installing the kitchen - love the idea of using the whole space for the bed and maybe a wee pull down table. Well done looks great!

Nice set up and safe, if you’re parked on the road you’ll have all the cars slowing down because from the back it looks a little like a camera van lol
It looks great, I’m really impressed.
A great little van, and a great demo, well done mate!

This micro van will make someone very happy, but I just can't figure out how you got those style grooves in the wood?

looks great. is a parking heater mounted?
very nice
The side windows look like black paint. The interior is nice. The layout is well thought out, but the fridge is too small.
I don't seem to be able find the conversion you did on a Renault Traffic with the pull out rear bed. Has it been taken off of utube?
