2:05 pretty sure he didn't make the conscious decision to get extra iron, he just forgot that he already had enough. He says "what am I doing?" after putting the new iron in his inventory
right. he had the iron to make an axe and flintNsteel, but wasted time on the golem. it was still really fast and looking back on any wr runs you can always find somewhere they could have saved even more time in some way or another. pretty impressive considering.
Great video man. I really feel like your background as a speedrunner yourself gives you some unique insight into how good the run was, and you did a great job passing on that information to us! If anything, this analysis shows that even though this run was amazing, it's still possible to get faster times, so I can't wait to see where the record ends up! Hopefully more analysis videos to come!

Good video bro. However, I love how you say, “This pace is not great so far. The seed is not great so far. He’s gonna continue. He’s gonna continue. He’s not gonna give up. I like that.” I feel that a lot of your runs are reset just a tase but too early almost as if you are too selective sometimes. You never know how the run will end in the end. Lol
P.S. it was hilarious when you asked Dimeax if it was cool about your vid using his vid after it was posted on UA-cam already.

Thanks for the review! We definitely need more coverage like this for MC speedruns.
Couple of comments:
* Obtaining the iron from golem was clearly a mistake, which could be attributed to doing things automatically after so many runs ("I see the golem - I kill him"). Dimeax commented on that right away when he saw the iron in his inventory, and also in his review of the recorded run on stream.
* I'm surprised you never mentioned the recently failed epic run from Benex. He entered The End ~50 seconds (!) faster than Dimeax, and his run is relevant in many ways to what you were saying in the video: 1) practicing the End fight to perfection is vital to top runners; Benex admitted himself he wasn't good at one cycling; 2) perch strats are becoming more important as well, Dimeax got lucky but in Benex' failed run it took ages for the dragon to perch.
* I think it's fine to put the run on pause if you want to expand on a topic. That way you would have a chance to comment on every tiny moment and detail which are all so important in runs like this, although I get it if you don't want to "kill the pace".
All in all, great job and keep it up!
sky-quaker I really appreciate the feedback! After uploading, I realized my over-analysis of the iron axe, but I still enjoyed talking about the differences between the iron/stone tools so it doesn’t bother me too too much. But yes, that was definitely a mistake on my end. Benex’s run could have been a good idea to bring up as well, but I wanted to focus on Dimeax for this one as I was considering doing a completely separate video for his run. And pausing definitely would have been smart, as I got cut off a few times by an event happening in the run. Thank you once again for the feedback, I will try to improve for the next video!
Another mistake was passing by an igloo in the cold tundra biome which could have had a gapple

And I forgot while we were live I typed in the chat 3 endermen op. I knew that the stronghold was close because to have 3 endermen within 4 blocks of each mostly happens in the end and strongholds.

Strongholds just follow normal mob spawning rules
Strongholds have the same enderman spawn chances as any other place. There are just more space, and dark spots. However the land above the portal is the same spawn rates as any other place

It’s the amount of time he spends in each world. Eg, it times how long he was in the nether and the end
Chris Withey it’s an in game timer. It’s the time minus lag and loading times. It would have updated after the ending credits

Correction: killing the golem was a mistake
He wouldn’t have enough iron for upgrade tools which helped him mine faster
Not to keep in mind, the blazes take less hits to kill.
