As a keyboardist/guitarist in the church, this is the most irritating response you could get. When you practiced all week and then not be heard during live worship (smh)
And these are the services that he decided to do for free and be a blessing from the last video. Ugh the musicians struggle is reall!!! "I can't hear anything. It sounds fine out here" RELATABLE! 😂🤣😣
And for us singers this is definitely relatable ... either we are too loud, too soft, not coming through the monitor or they forgot to unmute you and when they do you are over singing the entire music group. Then the dude in the sound booth gives you a shoulder shrunk and a my bad because they forgot to adjust your mic🙂
Facts....The struggle is real. A lot of sound techs don’t understand our need for volume. Musicians need to feel/connect with their work. If we can’t hear ourselves then we can’t play our best & we might as well go home.
@@AJ-lm5dl Sound techs are there because the music and instruments has to be mixed. What is heard on stage is typically very different from what is heard in the audience.
Dude I just discovered your videos yesterday and have been binging them all ever since. Sometimes your videos get a little too real, but I can't stop watching them xD Added bonus to your videos is that your playing is *muah*
Musicians practice their craft daily. (Many/most) church sound "engineers" only work with sound boards at service. Some only know where the ON/OFF switch and main faders are. No aux, bus control, monitor mix control, nada; nothing else. Sound engineering is a craft & science. Study to be qualified for your craft just like everyone else in the service. At least have the drive to learn more.
This is true... my family and I visited a church some years back and the only thing this church did was turn the power on and maybe up and down as needed. The entire sound board had dust all over it. The church just paid to get it installed but there was no one there to check, mix or adjust anything. Needless to say the sound was a mess smh
Okay, I’m a sound guy and musician. Lately my focus has been on sound though. Dude I was low key getting annoyed by this until you cut the lights! 😂😂 That is probably the hardest I have laughed in a long time! I’ll admit, there is an unnecessary struggle with sound guys for musicians almost everywhere I’ve been. Upsetting to see us divided when we are serving God
That's why we're mixing digitally in our Church. Everybody is controlling their own monitor sound and inEars are the best to not overplay on the stage so that our sound is louder than that out there. 👌
Or imagine, they're mixing you and in the end it's like: why is everybody louder than me, because at some point I had this awesome run and those dim. sus-chord at that particular part of the song, jadajadajada... 😂
Lol this is why I took 3 days retraining the sound staff one year. They don’t understand that the monitors are just as important as the foh. When I feel like they’re not giving the band what they need, I would hope off the organ, or bass depending what type of day we’re having, and do the sound myself. Nothing more frustrating than to have to keep telling them to turn up the keys.
It’s worse when you play at another church. Sound is all different of course but when you don’t have in ears, you just hope that the drums is in the middle of the stage and not in a corner far away from you.
back in the day bro,,, blood was nearly spilt over theses , situations,, reggea bands players get up close to the EDGE ,, trus me ,,beeennn there ,, one love
At white churches where there’s a shit load of guitars, they always lower the volume on someone who can play keys really well. They’re insecure af, so they always find ways to put down the keyboardist. That’s why I love black churches man, lol music is hella amazing and more complex than CCM. 4 chord worship songs are so lame…
Poor edicate in churches 101. Whoever does the sound, must at least know the basics of how to sound engineer a band, a vocalist, and a seperate musician and a choir. And all of them together. Also knowing the basics of whatever button adjustments are what and how to Identify them in the song they are singing to mimic somewhat of thst setup. Once that's down, they can touch the sound
"it sounds fine out here" top ten ways to create disunity in the church
But it normally does 🤣🤣
😂😂
Lol
As a keyboardist/guitarist in the church, this is the most irritating response you could get. When you practiced all week and then not be heard during live worship (smh)
🤣😂🤣☠️
As someone who use to control sound at church, I apologize lol.
it sucks, but trouble shooting in the middle of service suuuccckkkss. like i'm pushing it up why nothing happening
Your comment made my day 😆 🤣 😂
🤣🤣🤣

yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lollllllll
Lol yep the sound booth not gonna pay you no attention cause you doing this gig for free😂😂
Yes it is real.. 🤦🏻
A lot of musicians can definitely relate to this.

The struggle is real for the singers too! Most Sundays.
@@rachelmm05 the shoulder fa reeeeal lol so true
"it sounds fine out here" got me reliving trauma 😂 i dont CARE how it sounds out there man
"It sounds fine out here" the standard sound tech response 🤔 😂
"You cut off the lights" 😂 That last part when they put the drums louder than the keys 🎹 I can definitely relate 💯
The sound engineer be tripping 😂😂😂😂😂

I am reporting your comment for stating cold facts...lol 😂..so true bruh..
Don't you have a volume button? Why would you need a sound guy? Just turn it up, no?
@@AJ-lm5dl Sound techs are there because the music and instruments has to be mixed. What is heard on stage is typically very different from what is heard in the audience.
Someone once told me, "don't beat the sheep (volunteers)." But these guys have exceeded the 70x7 times that I am required to forgive them...
It's like the sound guys are afraid the volume's going to run out if they increase it.
This hits so hard 😂
We’ve all been there 😭
Always doing everything except what you tell them 😂😂😂

This is when you start singing 🎶I'm packing up getting ready to goooooo. 🎶
Make sure do a video when the keyboardist sandbags the volume during sound check then turns up louder during service.
Yes 200% this
Thats funny right there
The best hack to get the better of the sound engineers 😂
Omg the accuracy is too much!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And the sound guy said “hoooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
Always love when the act of pressing the keys is louder than the sound of the piano! 🤣🤣🤣
That's why we're mixing digitally in our Church. Everybody is controlling their own monitor sound and inEars are the best to not overplay on the stage so that our sound is louder than that out there. 👌
What I hate is that it sounds perfect in ears but later on someone will say they couldn't hear you at all the entire time...
Or imagine, they're mixing you and in the end it's like: why is everybody louder than me, because at some point I had this awesome run and those dim. sus-chord at that particular part of the song, jadajadajada... 😂

The sound check guy needs to get his hearing checked!! 🤣🤣🤣
Why am I angry and frustrated for him and this is only a skit? 😄
I'm dying so hard right now!! Too funny, because it's too true.
Kevon you are THE man!
When He said, 'It's fine out here' .. Bro, that triggered me.
And this is why Aviom personal monitors are one of God's greatest blessings!
If you need to “lay hands” on the soundman was a caption😏
The accuracy is scary
Only the thumbs go up, the volume never does...
The audacity to tell ME that it's fine!!! 😭😭😭
Sound engineers being doing the most🤣🤣🤣
So accurate!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Every musician's reality.*
Just played drums today and this happened with our piano player LOL
The struggle is real…🤣🤣🎹
"Not tha lights"😂😂😂😂😂
A bad sound team will always be noticed, and a good one will never be mentioned... But as a sound guy I was laughing hard at this lol
p16 system - best thing we implemented!
Dude i swear, this is the same thing that happens with that dang sound check guy, i can't hear my guitar at all
I was the sound man and then the pianist I understand LOL
As a sound guy at church....i tend to see the other side: "why are these musicians always yelling at me?!?!?"
I'm DEAD 😭 WHO DID IT KEVON!!!!!
Keep your head up and continue working hard
🤣4teal‼️‼️‼️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then everything gets dialed in during sound check but when you walk out 20 min later and start you've got nothing in your monitor.
Fr😂😂😂
Man, that struggle is straight to the point. Will surely want to go deal with him if he ain't doin it right.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂...I stop playing bass for this. I play the drum instead.
Sound dudes be power tripping lol
This is spot on 😅
🤣🤣🤣 literally just went through a lesser version of this yesterday loll
Why is this so accurate 😂
Great video. ☺
Sounds fine out here. Those words.
That is just all too familiar *LOL*
Bro sometimes I go through the same thing at my church. We are a lot better now.
damn the struggle is real
How about, when it goes crazy Loud all at once
Kevon you really make me happy and am an up coming drummer
go for it

"It sounds fine out here."
I mean that's great but if I can't hear what I'm playing we might have some issues during service.
lolllllll
Exactly. I had similar issue just yesterday at a program. It was really annoying.
This is soooo me 😂😂😂😂
Happens to me all the time bro
I feel you🤣
At CCM churches they do this because they wanna hear the guitar 😂….
🤭🤭lool...
FR!! I hate playing at ccm churches for that exact reason
I tell you those sound people
Lol.... 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha wow that’s spot on
Bruh I’m hollering 😂😂
It sounds fine out here sooooo true same the preachers go through lol 😆
I can relate 😂😂😂
That happens at our church

Yep and the random guy with the ipad that has no idea what instrument or mic is on what line!
😄😄
😂😂😂
🤣🤣
Lol
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
🤣🤣🤣
The sound guys can be annoying sometimes
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why do the sound guys do that? 🙄
Oh wow, smh
