Planting New Plants in My Prairie Using a Power Planter + Trimming Rosemary + Staking a Tree

  • While I don't plant a lot of new plants in the middle of summer, this summer has had some times of cooler weather with plentiful rain. I've been babying a few straggler plants by my back door, and it was high time to get them in the ground. To make things easier, I used my Power Planter for speedy holes with no effort. It made everything a breeze! Plus, I needed to trim and shape my rosemary and stake a new tree. All in a day's work in the garden! Enjoy!

Kaleb, here in Eastern Nebraska we have had some beautiful life-giving rain in the month of July, and as you mentioned it has made a huge difference and things are looking greener this year. Your gardens and lawn look fantastic. I purchased a couple of Power Planter augers with heavy-duty tips last year, and a few more this year, and they have made my clay soil so much easier to work in, I love them. Blessings to you and your loved ones. ~Margie🤗

AND OMG...just delicious. I made this for a friend that in stuck in with a broken leg and eggplant is her favorite dish and she LOVED this. Thanks again. Hugs from MAINE.

I love my PowerPlanter auger - game changer for me. Works great in our hard, red clay Georgia soil. I use mine mostly for planting bulbs (lots o' bulbs) but it works great for everything else. I did, however, get a handle for my drill - keeps it from wrenching my wrist when it finds those unexpected roots & rocks.

Love the chair beside the rosemary topiary. Years ago, I saw two similar chairs at a lovely antique store in Kalona, Iowa. (Sisters Garden). However, there wasn’t enough room in the jeep to bring them along home….I still dream of those chairs. Your gardens are fabulous ❤.

Would the auger work if you have rocky soil? What happens if you hit a rock, does it kick back or damage the auger?
