Hi Emmy! First time commenting. I used to use a vacuum sealer to freeze turkey, but now I freeze leftover turkey meat in regular ziplocks. I pour in enough broth to cover before freezing. It keeps it moist and prevents freezer burn up to a year. And you can use the broth to make gravy when you thaw it. Love all your tips, thought I would share mine.
Great tip! Thank you so much for sharing! Love comments!!
I grew up with "Planned-overs"... Mom and Dad both survived the depression in the 30s. I like to do things like this. Like.... stuffed bell peppers? Cut them up and mix with a little more tomato sauce....and serve over rice or pasta...or even mashed potatoes.......I LOVE planned overs. ;)
Joyce great tips! A little goes a long way with planned-overs for sure!
I put small amounts left over cranberry sauce into individual plastic bags. I then freeze them. I use them to sweeten my oatmeal and also use it in place of syrup on waffles or pancakes. Love the zero waste recipes!!
That's a great idea Mary Ann!
I was just about to throw away my leftover cranberry sauce this afternoon and then I decided not to. Then I watched your video this evening and immediately made the muffins! Delicious! Thank you Emmy!!
So happy the video was helpful Angie! Thanks for watching!
I didn't have leftovers. Only made 1 portion. of chicken. mashed potatoes & green beans with a little bit of left over cream of mushroom soup. Your muffins look wonderful. Thank you for this very informative video. Take care. Have a wonderful week. God bless you, Paul & your family.❤
Thanks for watching Pam! God bless you as well!
So happy you made 3 videos this week! Thank you! Love your videos ❤️

LOL Pia! Thanks for watching!
Save the booze for the cook. 😉
That was a great video, I have never made Turkey Tetrazzini, or cranberry muffins out of the left overs. I have made sandwiches, soup and that kind of stuff. Cant wait to try your recipe! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hope you enjoyed it Nancy! Thanks for watching!
I love these zero food waste posts. This is something I have always struggled with!! Please do more of these!
Yes, they are motivating for me too Susan lol! Thank you!
I agree..love these posts too! Thank you!
I use my leftover cranberry sauce to combine with mustard or Mayo to use on ham or turkey sandwiches. It is delicious!!
Oh yum!
Cranberry upside down cake is good too
Oh yum Kathleen! Sounds great!
There's only my husband and I these days, but I always cook/bake for 4. This means that we always have leftovers, which my husband really enjoys.
Wendy great idea! Leftovers are the best! Thanks for watching!
I take cranberry sauce and add a package of onion soup mix with out 2 cups of water. Add a pot roast or some meatballs.
Thanks for watching and sharing! Sounds good!
I have made that as well, think I also added a quarter cup of honey. Good with any meat.
Such a pleasant surprise....a bonus video!!!!🤗 I just made a loaf of apple, blueberry, cranberry & walnut bread....I had some apples that were getting kinda over ripe & some blueberry s that have been in my refrigerator & some left over dried cranberries in my pantry...so I improvised & made a special treat for my hubby to have with coffee☕️❤️....I’m still living out of my freezer inventory & pantry inventory...only buying dairy & produce as needed! 👍looking forward to see how much money I can save in 2021!!!! ❤️🙏❤️
Cindy you are the best! Keep it going! You will save so much!
Thank you😁❤️
You’re welcome 😊!
You inspire us and help us especially me.
Thank you both for the energy and content. David JENSON
Thanks so much David! So happy to hear that!
Excellent video and perfect timing! I agree - 3 days is the magic number - use it or freeze it! I have started to freeze my leftover turkey multiple times today but kept getting sidetracked. I watched this video while eating a leftover turkey sandwich and then packed up the leftovers with my food saver. Thanks for the motivation! 😊
I love that!! Munching and watching lol!! Thank you! So glad it was motivating! Enjoy your evening!
Thanks Emmy! I forgot to mention the Turkey Tetrazzini looks amazing! I have everything to make it including leftover chicken broth and celery. I am planning to make it later this week with some of the turkey I froze. Have a great night 😁

I don't know if you know but UA-cam reposted your video again like 9 hours agoI was so excited about a new one then I realized it was the one I already watched lol

I love turkey tetrizini.
Or turkey chili, turkey tacos, turkey sloppy joes.
Mashed potatoes can be used in.shepards pie.so can stuffing. Cranberry sauce can make a lovely batch of cranberry orange muffins
Thanks Rochelle! Hope your feeling better!
Boy that looks yummy!
Thanks Jules!
Yum! I made thick turkey soup yesterday from the bits and pieces and the carcass. I add a 10 oz bag of frozen mixed vegetables, diced onion and egg noodles.
Sounds great Jeanne! Love turkey soup better than chicken I think!
I will use that pasta recipe, no Thanksgiving here but I often have leftover chicken. Thanks Emmy for a great idea. I challenge myself to have as little as possible in my rubbish bin each pick up day so any way to reduce waste is a winner here👍👏👏👏
Love that Bernie! Good for you! I really try to avoid food waste too!
I turned two turkey caucus into bone broth. I will make soups with them as needed. I froze them for now. The turkey is frozen for use as needed and the chickens got the pieces that weren’t good to save. I liked your cranberry muffin idea.
Thanks so much Linda! You did great!
Just wondering could you use orange juice instead of milk ....I love cranberry orange muffins....😊❤️🎄pasta looks delish 😋
Francine I would think you could sub it but I have never tried it. If you do let us know if it works! Thanks for watching!
That turkey tetrazzini looks really good. I am going to try that real soon. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe❤🏡
Thank you! You too!
Great ideas Emmy! I always get so hungry watching your vids 😋😉
LOL! Thanks so much Bex! 😊
My homemade canned cranberry sauce is used on proteins all year long so not just for holiday meals. You have freezer space? We have 2 of the largest upright freezers that are omg full! It’s a challenge to open the doors & find a slot. It’s time to eat out of those freezers? 😁 Since cooking from scratch, our trash output has gone way down too. Been playing around with pasta & tortillas. Yummy!
That looks like it would be great using tuna in place of Turkey too. Great video as usual!!
Yes I agree Michelle! I think you could use chicken, ham, tuna... Thanks!
Thankyou for the ideas!! I am making the turkey tetrazzini now!! Love your videos Emmy! Thanks
Hope you like it Tina! We loved it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for the wonderful recipes!! You and Paul are great! Love your channel❤️
Thanks so much Elaine! So happy you are here!
What a great idea for cranberry sauce. I love finding new ideas for leftovers.
Me too Michelle! Thanks for watching!
Yummy recipes! So proud you shared with us and that y’all are doing well.
Lisa thank you! We are happy to share! Hope you are doing well too!
Love both recipes! Your some cook, Emmie!
Thanks so much Jan 😊
Another way to get the air out of a freezer bag besides rolling and squeezing the bag....Zip it closed till you have a small space left, insert a straw, then inhale all the air from the bag. Remove the straw, and zip the small opening closed. This trick I learned years ago.
Thanks for sharing!
Emmy! Everything looked SO Deeeeelish!!! 🤤👍❤
Thank you Momma Bear 😋
Emmy, question.why do you not use salt,or eat any processed foods?just wondering if its a personal preference,or medical, etc. Id love to cook everything from scratch, but im not that skilled, limited pots and pans, and real tiny kitchen.we dont have a double kitchen sink, either.studio apartment
I dislike anything with MSG or high sodium content. It makes me feel yuck! Headaches etc. The more I cook from scratch the better I feel lol!
All good leftover Thanksgiving food recipes. Today I made a casserole that is on the side of the Stove Top Turkey Stuffing box. Mix together 10 ounce Can of Mushroom soup (yes canned soup. lol) with 1/2 cup milk and spread on bottom of 8 x 12 casserole dish (spray dish with oil first) , then on top of that put 2 cups cubed turkey and then on top of that put 10 oz of frozen chopped broccoli thawed and then on top of that the dressing made like it says on the box. Bake 375 for 30 minutes . Sooooo good! I still have to freeze the carcass and legs like you did after I slice up what's left of the turkey breast. And then I had a piece of warmed up apple pie with vanilla bean icecream. I think I'm done eating for the day. lol I have everything to make that turkey casserole you just made and I'm going to make that sometime this week. Looks really good! Have a great Sunday! ((hugs))
Oh that turkey/stuffing casserole sounds so yummy! I ate the rest of the stuffing lol! I'm not going to lie...my favorite LOL! Big hug!
@@FrugalMoneySaver Me too...the stuffing is the best part of Thanksgiving dinner. Next is pie. Huggin' back at you! Have a wonderful week. I enjoy your videos so much.
Love this! I’ve learned so much from you! These recipes look so amazing ! I was hanging on every word. Thx so much for these fun & informative videos ! Your channel is such a blessing ! Hugs to you from Tennessee ❤️😊
Hugs right back! So so happy you enjoy our videos! Thank you so much!
Emmy, I think I will add your cranberry muffins to my list of goodies to make and give as Christmas gifts. Thank you.
Wonderful!
I love these kinds of videos where you show how you roll one meal into another!
Thanks so much Antoinette! Some of my favorite videos as well!
Wowzer, Emmy how do you make your cranberry sauce? Those muffins look fabulous and I appreciate that you said not to over mix the batter. I have never made the tetrazzini I will now thanks. Waving to you from Michigan
Yes Sue I do make my own! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Love these recipetips and savings! 💕😍💕
Thank you Judy!
I love your channel and your positive energy! I don’t usually comment on the UA-cams I watch, but yours is definitely a favorite! I will have to try these recipes... both look delicious!
Thank you so much Lisa!! So happy you reached out to us! So happy you enjoyed the video!
Wondering if I could use apple sauce instead of cranberry? Hmm Yeah and could soak sultanas in something?
I am not sure really. Cranberry is very thick so I'm not sure if that has something to do with the consistency of the recipe...
I use my pressure cooker to make stock in about 15 minutes, from my leftover bones. Saves time, and I don’t have to buy stock. Freeze it in 1 cup portions.
Thanks for sharing
I've made Cranberry Crisp with leftover cranberry sauce. Had to find ways to use it up in the school cafeteria where I work.
Sally what a great idea! Sounds yummy! Thanks!
I can't wait to make the muffins! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Boil those turkey bones with a little vinegar to draw out the minerals
Great tips! Thanks Joyce!
I love homemade cranberry sauce. Thnk you for another wonderful video
You are so welcome! Thanks for being here Dawn!
That teapot and cake stand is Gorgeous.
😊 thank you Charlene!
Tip # 17 for saving your money, if you are paying high interest credit card payments go to your bank and get a low interest loan and pay off those credit cards. You will feel much better and get the balance paid off quicker.
Thanks Bruce
@@FrugalMoneySaver Your welcome guys.
You can use cranberry sauce as fruit on your yogurt.
Great idea Cathy! Thanks!
That’s a gorgeous necklace
Thank you so much!
.
I have always made turkey dinner Shepard pie...different layers of all the fixings... turkey and gravy bottom... all other fixings ...topped with mashed potatoes... I loved eating these for the next month or 2... sooo yummy
I love any kind of Shepards pie Dawn! Yum! Thanks!
We didn't do a full turkey. We made a turkey breast roast and then bought some smoked turkey legs. We had so much food we didn't eat out legs (but I sent one home with some leftovers with my Dad). I've been taking some of the leg meat and cooking it in some navy beans. So tasty! THe meat has the same sort of smokiness you would look for with some smoked ham (which is somewhere in our fridge, I just can't find it). But they taste so good!!! I had found a recipe for an eggnog pie I'm going to try in a few weeks. If it goes well I'll be making it for our Christmas dinner. We're going out of town, so I'm looking for things I can throw together and put in the fridge at the hotel.
Great use of the turkey legs for sure Jennifer! Thanks for watching!
Hi, Emmy and Paul! I was actually watching some of your older videos while I food prepped this morning - they are wonderful motivation. Would you mind sharing what brand pot you used while making the tetrazzini sauce? I am in the market for 2 pots - a larger one like you were using and a small sauce pot - but I am having difficulty finding what I want that isn’t a full set or non-stick (plus, have you seen prices lately? The pots without Teflon coating I am finding are anywhere from $60 - $130 a pot! Maybe I am actually being cheap, but I about fainted).
So happy our videos are motivating! Love that!
OK, well honestly my pots were expensive. They are stainless steel Cuisinart made in France. We bought them about 15 years ago. I am a home cook so we wanted something that was great quality and would last. They have been amazing but they are expensive. Check around though. Now is the time for sales during the holidays.
Great ideas!😍❤️👍
Thank you Debbie! 😊
My hubby loves my casseroles, need to try the turkey casserole with chicken. We had ham for thanksgiving so we kept the ham bone and had ham and beans with homemade cornbread. We love comfort food here. Great video❤️
Thanks so much! Yes, we enjoy comfort foods as well Cindy!
Hi emmy
What a lovely surprise to see you tonight
Lovely recipes
With my leftover cranberry sauce i put it in the bottom of a steamed sponge pudding
Served with custard or cream
Delicious
Take care xx🎄🎄🎄🎄
A steamed sponge pudding!! Wow! I have never had that but it sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Nice surprise to see you tonite. Those cranberry muffins look really good. I think I will try them. Only one problem - we like a little turkey or chicken with our cranberry sauce so it is never left over. That's ok ... will just make extra. Can't go wrong with cranberries. Have a blessed week.
Thanks Karen so much! You have a blessed week as well!’
Well that’s nice you had a nice time N I was in rehab I guess that’s the way it goes !!! No left overs here just got home 🏡 yesterday !!!
Oh I am glad you got home Nici! Hope you're feeling better!
A smear of cream cheese on my muffin, please! With the horde I feed I have to hide leftovers if I want to repurpose them!
You got it Kathleen...cream cheese it is lol! Thanks for watching!
Yummmm
Thanks for watching Janette!

@@FrugalMoneySaver Christmas Day,I’d say a few days later will be Ne t opportunity, for turkey leftovers 👌💟
Thanks so much for this video!! I'm making the Turkey Tetrazzini for dinner tonight 😁 Do you have any suggestions on what to do with leftover stuffing? Thanks so much Emmy and Paul 😁
So happy the video was helpful Michelle! I would Google leftover stuffing recipes and see what comes up that looks good to you! That is one thing we didn't have any leftovers of! My favorite lol!!
Use it as a binder in your meatballs or meatloaf. It can easily replace the breadcrumbs.
I made turkey pot pie and used the leftover stuffing as the crust...yummy 😋
Loved the video! Great ideas!!
Thanks so much Cathy 😊
Love to see it
