It is perfect timing, been very serious thinking of getting the Leo Jaymz sparkle green Telecaster. $169 free shipping, I got a Harley Benton surf green TE-60 6 months ago and was very surprised and happy. Shipping, tax and a decent gigbad for a little under $250 shipping is what hurts around $80 for shipping. It was only $63 for shipping when I started to look at it because I wanted binding but the surf green did not come with binding, other colors had binding and it was around $12 more for binding. One thing I did not like about HB website they don't tell you how much for shipping untill your ready to pay for it, I could have backed out when it showed how much for shipping but it was less the $13, now for $12 more they offer binding on the surf green.
When I first stated playing, you could buy a Fender Telecaster or a Gibson Melody Maker for $200 and the budget guitars were cheap Teiscos and Crestwoods that cost $30 at Montgomery Ward and Sears. Even at that price, nobody wanted them. 😁
I watched your video on the Leo jaymez storm guitar.. I can not find the color one you were reviewing . All I can find is a green with wood back, a brownish and a neon green but not the canary yellow center with the green shadow around it where did you find that color
I have a $1000 Kramer SM1 and an a $850 Schecter Keith Marro sustainiac . I still like my Inexpensive Kramer like you have. Thats one sweet Axe Bro. Thanks Mike
I was worried about that also but whatever they finished the neck in is actual like silk. I don't even notice it. unlike all of my other finished necks this is pretty fast. They definity did something different on it. I'll see if i can find out what exactly the finish is. Another review noticed the same thing. Thanks for checking it out brother
I just had the winner of the Jem guitar here yesterday to shot a little jam video. He was amazed by the Leo Jaymz. He is a Gibson guy and thought for sure the guitar would cost 7- 800.00 . Lol. I told him $200 shipped and he went on his phone bought one right then and there. That was pretty cool.
Hey Bro...this Guitar is coming tomorrow...got a question on the fretboard...are the edges of the fretboard slightly chamfered..pretty sure you said the fret ends were good..just curious I have heard that they may have had a bad run and that the fretboards were a little iffy
@@FultonStreetBeats Nice...thats what I was thinking/hoping you would say...Thanks Bro..I will Give you a Shout out on My Channel when I unbox it in a vid or Go live 😎🤘
I never bought into the hype on huge tremolo blocks two reasons: no laws of physics lends to mass increasing sustain or tone 2. Huge blocks limit the travel on your tremolo. I like thin metal blocks like on the Vega Trem, they made them thin for a reason, they have smart engineers.
Very true Increasing to a bigger block will have virtually little to no difference in real sustain unless you go to brass. Brass increases resonance of string vibration almost giving the guitar a sustain illusion but really it more string vibration clarity, and not note length. With a normal metal block the note still hangs on "Almost" for the same time but just has a less audible frequency. ( You can really notice a big frequency difference if you use a brass nut and a brass block together ) However a smaller (Thinner) brass block will do it even better. One thing a larger block does do is help maintain tuning because more mass is stable. . There is trade offs for each Interesting side note.... More mass ='s less vibration witch kills a note quicker. The exact opposite of what people think. But you are correct most is just more smoke and mirrors again to sell guitars and keep prices high using snake oil. I'm glad you see through the hype. Thanks for watching.
@@FultonStreetBeats I can understand the brass block point it has logic but the mass I not taking into account that the real mechanism balancing the string in a floating configuration is not the block it is the springs. Springs do all the work.
Hey Bro..Subbed ur Channel...that thing looks Absolutely Beautiful..may have look into one of those myself..lol I pretty much have all there LP models 🤣🤣 Nice Vid
@@FultonStreetBeats Man, I'm always on the hunt for a nice, inexpensive guitar. I don't care what is on the head stock... if it's good, then hell, it's good! I hope they have some left when I get ready to get one. LMAO
Cool vid, and what a killer guitar! Great playing and tone as well, brother! I'm subbing. That guitar is gorgeous, and I have to say.... Leo Jaymz is doing awesome things right now! I love this guitar company! 6 String Stanger has a cool channel, and he is addicted and obsessed with their stuff - mainly the Les Pauls. He's got like 20 of em.' LOL I actually have their Les Paul with Union Jack finish. Always thought the Union Jack was so rock n' roll. So I just grabbed their Telecaster with same Union Jack... got it last Friday, and opened it up Friday night. Wow!!! Man that thing is KILLER!!! It's so killer.... I just bought a 2nd one that should be here this Friday. I wanted to mod it out, and throw on a roasted maple Fender neck I had - but honestly... it is so damm good... I couldn't mod it out!! Had some Amazon gift money, so I grabbed a 2nd one ($129 for these guitars). I'm putting the Fender maple neck on it, and throwing Fender Hot Rod Tele Classic Pups in it. I'm going to hot rod the 2nd one big time! But man.... these Leos are seemingly coming in ready to rock .... right out of the box. I LOVE this company!! Sorry for the book - just confirming about Leo Jaymz. And now.... I want this axe too!! 🤨
Thanks for the kind words. I haven't had any of the Leo LP's yet but a few are definitely on my list. I can see it becoming an addiction. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Is that a ROASTED maple neck??? It looks like it! I was already into it for the active pickups and Wilkinson bridge, because I don't have any guitars with those yet... but your confirmation on the stainless steel frets and comparison to the HB Fusion at THIS price... I just ordered it! Lol. I freaking LOVE stainless steel frets! One detail that I didn't see that the Fusion offers though... coil split? BUT, definitely a fine trade for active pickups though!!!
I have 2 of the lp guitars, poor quality off center bridges . When I changed the strings the bridge and tail inserts fell out. I will not buy any of their guitars again. I should have changed the strings when I got the guitars.
Cool Guitar for sure.. But WTF is up the with the idea/belief that "Larger Circumference Potentiometers, Being superior to "Smaller Potentiometers"? How does that work? Sounds like pure Horse S#!it to me,
Electronics industry is all about smaller, lighter and better…….except for guitarist. Solid state revolutionized electronics since the 60s but guitarist still want tubes, go figure.
Beautiful guitar Mike, the first thing that struck me was the headstock I loud the look of that and then the way the block inlays are offset on the neck very nice. By the way, the finish on the guitar perfectly matches the Atari logo perfectly on your shirt.
Thanks for sharing my friend 🏴

Can't believe the budget guitars in the market nowadays! BTW you look a lot like my college guitar professor from a few years ago! haha
Lol. It wasn't Upstate Suny engineering, was it?
I wish the budget guitar market was this competitive when I started playing.

Thanks for the shoutout, brotha. I truly appreciate that. 🤘🏻

I plan on it next week. I need them all I think. Lol

They must be out of that color. I purchased from Amazon
Rounded end cupronickel frets I believe, that what it states on Amazon.

Kramers are incredible, got a Baretta Vintage and a Pacer Classic and they are mind blowing.
It sounds so good 👍 can't wait to get mine.

Slim C

You could make it float better with two springs one on each outer hook reminds me of a dean I had 350 t with Floyd

Awe I've been looking at those. Waiting on my fesly too show up this week. Next week these will be 250 bucks thanx lmao great video!
I know. I hate it when that happens. lol
What size are the frets?
Medium Jumbo
Yep I'd say that challenges the Harley Benton's at half the price for the same or better quality of product. Don't have access to them up here

The neck heal looks rounded but not tapered.
it 56.8mm across the board at the 24th fret to 43.9mm at the 1st . 20.6mm in thickness at the first to 22.5mm at the 12th.
