Google embracing Samsung's software and collaborating to bring the best of both UIs to all Android devices is the key. Better late than never. Really excited for the future of Android! 😇
This is incorrect, it's actually the opposite Samsung is finally embracing android and using them to combat the iPhone. They are in a sense using each other.
I'm not a fan of any ecosystem because the manufacturers intentionally lock features to certain brands and you have to have those particular brands to use certain features. Android used to be about not locking certain features with certain brands, it's going back to the old days of when manufacturers would lock certain features from there particular brand. I use a variety of different brands, when one manufacturer does certain things that I used to use that they remove, I switch between different brands like a different pair of shoes. For example, bluetooth earbuds and headphones, you have to have a certain brand to use certain features and functionality. I don't want any of the manufacturers to treat android devices to be exclusive and be proprietary because that's not what android was about when android devices were first coming out. All the manufacturers did certain things that made them different and unique. Locking certain features with certain brands behind an ecosystem will only make things worse because they are consumers that use a variety of brands for each specific purposes and using ecosystems will further complicate things for the consumers. No one has ever mentioned that using ecosystems is making it ok for the manufacturers to make things proprietary for the manufacturers and not useful and helpful for the consumers and not every consumer wants to be locked down by certain brands just to use certain features and functionalities. Nowadays, the majority of consumers want to be locked down to certain brands which offer less features and functionality to any of the consumers with less options. I miss the days of when android devices were different from each other and they were not proprietary like how it is now. At least with hifi audio, there are so many brands to choose from and they use standard components but they offer there own unique ways of manufacturing and designing products but they work well with each other no matter what brand they are. I use android, chrome os and windows from a variety of brands and manufacturers since I don't care about brand loyalty and ecosystems. Ecosystems are designed to lock features with there particular brand and if you don't like what the particular manufacturer or brand is doing you are stuck like quick sand.
People always lazily that Apple is preferable because of the "ecosystem" -- meanwhile, Samsung has long had an ecosystem of *interoperable* phones, watches, earbuds, tablets, PCs, and Chromebooks. This news from Google is welcome, but let's not pretend that a strong ecosystem for Android hasn't already existed for years.
I'm starting the video… "Apple's ecosystem is unrivaled." Google's one is in another league. Google's one is several OS, several OS apps and so many web apps working together that nearly everyone uses. For example, you take a picture with your phone. No need to do anything except wait seconds and your photo is anywhere with Internet access: in your phone, tablet, laptop, PC, in your watch, and from any decide where you're connected on to your Google Account. Same with files using Google Drive and so many other use-cases. Google's ecosystem is so good that people don't even realize using it because it's so seamless.
It's never about catching up. Google has led the way on nearly everything that is the interoperability that Apple caught up to. Google voice with hangouts made for texting and messaging and video in one app on any devices, over digital/WiFi before iMessage. Android had wireless charging 10 years before Apple put a magnet on it and gave it a catchy name, and "invented" wireless charging. It's never about catching up to Apple, it's about polishing it up, it's about sticking with the products and features. What Apple does is polish, refine and market. Android needs to level up here, not catch up, but go beyond, where Apple products look like last year's tech. Putting my phone close to the tablet and it automatically transfers, that's like magic. That's what Android needs, more of that. I think Google and Android is finally at a place with the partners like Samsung, finding that they need to work together to have a uniform experience instead of going different directions. That's what will take them beyond..
To double down on this point, if Android is compared and "trying to keep up with Apple" it'll always be behind. And speaking of it this way is to imply that it is lesser or behind. We need to not speak in this way, as if Apple is a golden standard. Instead we speak of how Android is improving to stay ahead of the competition. Don't suck into Apple's reality distortion field.
It doesn't help that Google wasn't exactly focused and consistent with its naming and services over the years. Such as Hangouts > Duo > Meet, whereas Apple has always had FaceTime, just creates an uphill battle
Let's hope Google won't kill off applications and service in the future. These reinventing and killing off their 1st party apps are some of the reason why Google isn't that strong yet in the ecosystem. I do not want to use any Google app with a thought this very app will going down someday.....
I wonder what will happen to Samsung Phones which currently have the QuickShare onboard next to NerbyShare when the fusion comes. Will the Samsung QuickShare App disappear and only the fusioned QuickShare appear?

Nope, Microsoft isn't working with Google for their android VM or apps streaming. They're working with Samsung. Goggle already has an app stream for chrome os and for windows they have their own game VM called Google play for windows which runs android games in a vm like Microsoft android VM.
@@StoicPhilosophyyyy he is talking about Samsung windows streaming into windows. Google pixel have a similar feature for Chromebooks. But no official way to stream apps into windows for now.
I don't think it will work, although I am rooting for it. The problem is, conflicting interest. Manufacturers intentionally lock features to force users into their own sub-ecosystem. Even considering Samsung, many many features of their Watch and Buds are missing if you use them with a non-Samsung Android phone, without any obvious reason, which is what lock-in is.

As someone who recently switched from the Apple side to the Android side of things, there's only two things I'm really missing. A proper AirTags alternative and more (useful) third party apps on smartwatches.
Apple make fashion products for simpletons....SIGH
They’re like the Toyota of cell phones. Their products are reliable.
Wow you're so edgy. Make should be plural by the way 😂
@@rob-890 edgy? Not at all. Going with reliability is just practical.
@@facelessshadow92 I was replying to OP lol not you
Apple sets the trends that Android OEMs follow. Apple might not always be first but when THEY DO COPY something it becomes mainstream.
Apple is best
I always laugh when I hear apple eco system as all it is a series of poor purchasing decisions. Cross platform support is more important than vendor lockin.
Honestly I think Google's ecosystem works way better than Apple's
😂😂
Form-fitting V Neck T shirts never look good on men bro. Stop that nonsense 😂
Too late. Apple hardware and software can't be matched by android. Just look at the smoothness of iOS and gaming on it.
👍✌️🌍
Apple ecosystem is unmatched, truthfully the Android tablets are no good.
Unmatched when it comes to holding consumers hostage 💯💯💯

And how many Android tablets have you tried. What, exactly, do you think you can do on an iPad that you cannot on an Android tablet. Just curious.
@@jebaker2 I have tried plenty to not go back. Software updates alone are no Match for apple
@@jebaker2 don't get me wrong I have both a android phone and a iPhone.
Have you seen how poorly designed, buggy, ugly and rigid the UA-cam's commenting/editing/settings are? YT is now by far the best and biggest social media, far more useful because it lets people earn money for their time, it allows people to learn new things, yet Google can't seem to bother with employing a few people to tidy up the interface, to refresh it with more settings, colours, appearance, etc. What a disgrace.😡
