- in-person school is almost upon us........ and it's time to prepare. preparing to be visible to other people in 3... 2... 1...
in this video, i attempted to force a glow-up in the span of about 3 weeks this summer. from exercising to getting my ears pierced to dying my hair pink, it's been a process of self care and self improvement. i'm not emotionally ready for back to school season, but i'm physically a bit better prepped lol.

I swear that's been my biggest issue with going back in person. I simultaneously let myself go so much while ridiculously analyzing how I look in my zoom thumbnail that I get anxious thinking about how I'm perceived. I can't tell you how comforting your content is Jasmine!

same! i went back to in person school TODAY and then this video showed up! so it was pretty comforting though we have uniforms and aren't allowed to get colored hair.. and wear masks lol so the teeth part woudn't really be necessary for superficial purposes but just for "healthier" whiter-looking teeth
i lost the point there but yeah, i like the way she thinks and relate to the self-consciousness onscreen!

Same honestly I used to do swimming as a hobby since I was little but now that I quite due to a lil trauma I feel so unfit and healthy and so lazy I hate it currently tryna find some exercises that are easy going and tryna find what to eat healthy but I think I should of made a journal for that :0
Same, I told my mom that I was doing yoga and she said “you’re eating chips right now so what’s the point”. And she wonders why I have a bad relationship with exercise and my body :)

Stay virtual then! Everyone has a different learning style and asynchronous online learning really works well for me. I did my bachelor's degree entirely online and I start virtual grad school in the fall!
Me too, what I just don't like about virtual is when you get disconnected or it's lagging hahaha, I'm not ready for in-person classes because ever since the pandemic started I've became more quiet, I hate talking in general...

it's crazy that most people are going back to school in person (full time) for the first time and I was fully in person all last year (with masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizer)

Honestly what you said about just exercising to get into shape and not lose weight is so important. I've been kinda scared to go back to exercising because if I look for a workout online it is always to lose weight etc.. I just want to become more fit and be healthy. So thanks for touching upon that subject, it truly helps and motivates me! Also, your videos are always so uplifting and chill to watch, you seem like such a nice person to be around!

hey hey, as someone with 20 piercings it’s best to use a salt water solution on a q tip so you can kinda get it everywhere it needs to be.
so you would rather recommend salt water rather than rubbing alcohol? :)

When I got my ears pierced the woman who did it told me not to use alcohol because it will just irritate the wound, so I used saline and I used a cotton pad and moved the earring so it would get inside the piercing and around it. It worked well for me, since they've completely healed up now, but I guess multiple things can work.

please don't get way into restricting yourself, ok? it will only get worse and your expectations for yourself will just get higher. i wish i could've told myself this before i got so deep into restriction that i became hospitalized. so please, please take it from me. the human brain is never satisfied on its own, but a kind heart and smile really does make any person beautiful. Jesus loves you so so much, and even though I don't know you, so do i! your body loves you too, doing so much for you, so make sure you nourish it. i'm wishing you the best :)
I totally get you, I’ve been the same. I’ve seen a bunch of these vids recommended to me but never tapped them bc I knew it’d make me insecure but I trusted Studyquill to be cool about it, and she was. We’ll keep learning to love ourselves together
